Reid B- Night Chimes

This picture was taken on September 26, 2016 in my backyard. This picture was taken at night. I took this picture with a Cannon Rebel xsi. I edited this picture by making the background back and white and bringing out the colors on the wind chimes through saturation. To make this picture better I could have cropped out the right side of the picture better. This picture was used for the night and day assignment.

I like this picture because i feel it fits right into the season and i love the contrast the background makes with the lamp. i like how it kind of has an antique mysterious feel. i think the blurred background and focused foreground make the picture look really good. and i also like how the lamp is off centered.

I love this photo! The yellow color of the wind chimes really stands out. I like how the background of the photo is edited to be black and white and the subject is in color. I also like how you blurred the background because I think it really makes the subject even more focused. Also I like how its off centered because I think it adds more to the picture. This picture is really great and I would definitely consider it a keeper.

This picture is really well done. I like that the focus isn't in the direct center and that you turned the background into black and white and colored only the parts that are in focus. You could've cropped it a little tighter on the right side but that might've also made the picture more lopsided so it's fine where it's at now.

This picture is very pretty!!! I love how the the back is black and white. This picture is focused on The wind chimes. The color on the wind chimes is really beautiful. I really love how its blue and a lil mix with purple. Its also cool how it was on day and night time assignment.

Great shot Reid! I really like how you made the background black and white to draw more attention to the wind chimes and saturating the chimes to draw the eye to it. I thought that you you did was very clever and ingenious. I also like the detail of the wind chimes themselves and how the different cracks in it make the picture more intricate and complex than it would be if it were plain. I feel that to better this picture you could have blurred the bottom right corner instead of by cropping out the entire right side so that the main subject doesn’t move to the edge of the picture. Overall, I thought that this was a really great photo. Definitely a keeper! Heath M.-HHS

I liked this picture alot! I loved the B&W background and how the blue and orange really stick out in the picture. This picture is very creative and well done but I think it could have been almost perfect if you cropped it proportionate, bringing the left side in and more on the right side. Also showing more of the top of the figure in the picture. The blur you added was also good for this picture as well. Overall, I love the picture and keep up the good work!

Great Picture! I really like the way the light stands out! you used a really nice angle to take this picture. I like how the metal on the light has a little hint of purple. Overall I think this is a really good picture!

Awesome pic!! I love how you made the background black and white and left the color of the chimes. The colors really pop out and the focus on the chime looks really cool!

Great photo! I like how the focus and lighting on the chimes. I can tell you paid attention to the Rule of Thirds when you cropped the photo. The viewer of this photo is kind of mystified by the colors by the bright color in the chime. I would suggest that you turn down the opacity of the black and white background a little.

Great photo reed! In this picture I really enjoy the shallow depth of field drawing my eye to the wind chime. By taking away the saturation in the background the colors in the chime really pop adding a great effect. When I look at this photo it gives me a feeling of Interest and Mystery.-

I really love this picture Reid. The colors are really calm and warming but also excited and cold at the same time. The black and white background helps with this. I also really like the title you gave it.

`I love this picture because the way it goes with the season. The saturation done to this picture and making everything else black and white was dope.

I really like this picture because of how the vibrant colors on the wind chime complement the black and white backgroud. It creates a smooth mood and it really pops. Great picture overall, I agree about the cropping, but it still looks really nice. Great job on editing this photo.
