Ben S- Sound Board (First post for 16-17 school year)

This photo is called “Sound Board”, and it is a picture of the sound board in the youth room of my church. It is taken with a Canon Rebel XS. I took this photo at my church in the dark. I edited it by taking out all the dust, correcting the white balance, bringing out the highlights, and turning up definition and sharpness. It could be better if I had turned some of the lights on on the sound board.

I really like this photo because of the fish eye effect given to the picture from the close up shot using a good depth of field. The picture should be straightened because the shot was a little off and doesn't look completely straight. I also think If the wood in the background was cropped out it would make the soundboard pop out more and you would be able to focus on the detail of the knobs easier. I think this photo gives off an ere feeling and maybe a little creepy and dark.

This photo is really cool! I really like how you focused on the knobs of the soundboard. I think the adjusting the white balance really made the knobs stand out. The angle is really good but I would straighten it a little more. I think this photo is very calming, not crazy or too full of color. I also like the little bit of wood in the background. I think this was a great picture overall.

I really like this picture. The focus is really good, what you focused on was a good choice. This is a very well centered picture, but it is a little diagonal. I like how you can see a decent amount of the background before it gets black. I really think that you should have cropped the top of the wood where it looks like there are wires. Overall I think this was a very good picture.

I really like how you adjusted the white balance making the knobs stand out more. Maybe keeping some of the dust on it would have given it a make more calming feeling. The focus of this is clearly seen and I love how it extends to the back of the picture. It being light in the front but getting darker towards the back makes a big difference if it were only light throughout the picture. I also agree with you, that if some of the lights were on it could be a tad better.
