Nicole T- Rose

This picture is called Rose. It was taken at the Botanical Gardens during the Photography field trip. It was taken with my Canon Powershot SX 150 IS. I edited it by making it black and white then restoring the color back on the flower and added color back onto the background then I turned up the vibrance and contrast. I also decreased the brightness a little bit. It could be better if the middle was a little sharper.

Hey Nicole, this is a beautiful picture! Good job not cropping the picture into a square and instead leaving room on the left. That gives the image a more interesting balance and keeps the shot from being bland. Also, this is a really cool color palette. This orange/pink combination is immaculate and is the main attraction for the shot. It's the eye-catcher, if you will. However, it has even more untapped potential. If the background's leaves had been a lighter shade of green, like lime green, the green and pink would've clashed spectacularly. And if hints of blue had peaked through the leaves, it would be over. Hands down, that would be the best color palette ever, at least in my opinion. Really good work here, but maybe there's still room for a version two, ya know?

Really great photo! I love the lighting and focus on the flower and how the background fades in the picture. The colors really pop and the the flowers give it a soft feel to the photo. This is a really great example of a detail landscape picture. Great Job!

I always love flower/nature pictures. I really love the color in this one. It reminds me of trix yogurt for some reason ha! This picture could be better if the camera was a little more steady. The lighting is pretty good but I would maybe brighten it up a tad more. Good job over all tho! This gives me a creative mood
