Seth W- Darkness Setting

The title of my selected image is Darkness Setting.  It was taken over Spring Break at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama.  It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T5.  To edit it I just adjusted the brightness and contrast and messed with the levels a bit.  I think it looks good the way it came out and I wouldn’t have changed anything about it.

Beautiful Image! I think that the exposure works great on the top two thirds of the image. However, I think that if you increased the exposure of the shadows when editing the image, the lower one third would look brighter and the reflection of the sunset in the waves would be more vibrant. The tonal range in this image is majestic and I also like the use of the rule of thirds to include mostly the sky and clouds but still have the shore included in the image. This image looks like the kind of picture that one of the photographers I follow on twitter would take. It is very beautiful and has a lot of vibrant colors. -Matt H-HHS

Really cool picture. I love all the colors in the sky and how the dark colors work well with the brighter colors. I also like how the water has some of the color reflected by the sky. I wouldn't do anything ti change this image. Over all really cool picture.

Awesome photo, Seth. I love how the colors of the photo mix the way they do. The lighting of the photo really sets the mood and the composition is also very good. The water flows with the sky very nicely. Great job.

I really love this picture! I really like how the water is barely visible but at the same time is really reflective. I also like the different colors in the sky and how you turned up the contrast to make the colors of the sky pop out more. Overall, I really liked this image and I would definetly hang this up on my refrigerator.

Great picture. i like how subtle it is and how the depth gets darker the further it goes out. i would have put a glass filter to make the water look different. good job.
