Grant S.- Chace Lake

My photo is called Chace Lake. It was taken in my neighborhood last week. I took it with my Nikon L840. I edited it by adding the HDR effect of surrealism. It could be better if I made the houses around it easier to view but I still like how it came out.

Cool Image! I really like use of lighting in this image. I like how the top and bottom of the image are darker while the middle of the image has a line of intense light. It creates a sense of balance in the image. I also really like the color range. There are multiple cool colors in this image from green to purple to blue. There are also warm colors like red and orange on the grass. I think that these color combos make an interesting contrast within the image that gives it its magical qualities. I also really like the lens flare on the image. It adds even more to the magical qualities and surrealism. -Matt H-HHS

Grant, this is a very cool photo of Chace Lake. In regard to a technical area, the lighting in my opinion is very interesting because the largest house on the left side of the photo is darker while the largest house on the right side of the photo is lighter. I feel that creates a very interesting perspective. In regard to a composition area, the leading lines in the photo are cool. The lines of the black road next to the side walk on either side of the road start at the edges of the photo and lead inward to the middle of the photo so the eye is drawn to the far end of the street. In regard to a aesthetic area, I really do like this photo and would absolutely consider it a keeper. I think it would serve well as a framed photo or desktop background. You did a great job on this photo!

I like how the houses and road look detailed in the shot. The focus is on the center of the road but I like how you can still see everything by the road. The lighting in this photo could be better but I like the way it looks. To make this photo better I would try to get better lighting and focus the shot more. Overall, I like this photo and I think it looks cool.

Cool pic Grant!!!! I like the tone of this picture and how you can see the houses down the street that lead right to the sun. I think the sun and sky might be a little over exposed but other than that its great!!!

This photo is very fascinating! The saturation and vibrancy is very outstanding, and the lens glare helps to add a touch. The sky is a nice, blank-like color while the foreground is incredibly colorful, though with very high contrast. The only downside to this image is that the street a bit oddly positioned; placing it to the far side or the center of the image would have helped with composition. Other than that, a wonderful piece of art.

Nice picture! The lighting is harsh, but it brings your eyes into the photo so it works. The leading lines from the sidewalk and the curb also help your eye lead deeper into the picture. This picture seems to have a dark, creepy mood. I would definitely keep this photo. Great job!
