Sara W- Flower

I took this photo at Aldridge Gardens for the pick a color assignment. I took it with a nikon D4S. I used a separate flash to get more depth. I really didn’t need to edit it. i brought the contrast up and thats about it. i really like the way it is and i wouldn’t change it.

Good job on this photo! I like the offset of the flower and how it looks isolated by the black background. I also like the detail of the flower and overall simplicity of the photo.

This is a really nice photo! I like the empty black background and the high contrast yellow. The only thing I would change about this photo is the stem. Only part of it shows and then fades to black and then another part of it shows. I think if the whole stem was there it would be a little better but other than that good job.

This picture is so good it's really pretty! I like how everything but the flower is blacked out. It looks good how the flower is offset. The colors are really vibrant!

It's very simple and a really good photo. I really like it. The focus was very well done, and the black background was well picked because it gives more attention to the flower. The lighting was well done too. Not to bright, not to dark. The color of the flower is also very pretty.

Hey Sara! Great photo! I think the black background really adds vibrancy and dimension to the flower. The contrast of the yellow and the black also adds focus to the flower as well. This is definitely a keeper!

This is a really cool picture! I like how the black background makes the flower really pop. It almost looks 3d. Nice shot!

I love how the background is dark and some edges of the flower is blended in with the background. Nice work!

I really like this picture, its super simple but you can almost see every detail of the flower. The color of the flower is extremely vibrant, it really is the primary focus of the picture and the black background really helps to bring it to focus. i also like how heavy of a contrast there is ..

I love how dark this is and how your subject is the only visible part of it. Maybe make it a little less vibrant/saturated, but this is well taken!

the shadows really make the yellow stand out. i love this shot. however, i would have retouched the brown area to make it more yellow.
