Cole M- Proverbs

The title of this picture is “Proverbs”, due to the fact that the scripture found on the page is from the book of Proverbs. I took the base picture of the Bible in the about me assignment, but later reused it for the composite assignment.  For editing, I placed a picture of a flower bush on top of the Bible and then turned down the opacity. In addition, I added two strips of the sky from another picture to create a faint cross.

I think this is a typical zoomed in picture of a bible page. Overlaying the whole flower thing could have been cool but it kinda just looks like a stain on the page. i think that maybe could have been avoided if you bumped up the opacity on the flower so then others could see what it was. Other than that, its a decent picture.. I've seen it a thousand times.

Well Lara, I think you're absolutely wrong. You obviously have no artistic eye. The way he subtly inserted the shape of a cross over the picture while making it look like a stain is exactly the point. Also, if he would have bumped up the opacity too much he the image would have lost the definition of the words. If you knew artistic design you would have been able to see that this picture far transcends the typical Bible picture.

I kind of like this picture. Honestly, at first it took nye some time to find the flower bush and also to see the cross you made. I think you could have owed the flower bush just a tad bit more to actually make it a little more noticeable. Other than that, great job!

This picture is great! I love the angle and coloring. If i could change something i would try to eliminate the way you can see the words through because it kind of distracts from the verses on the front. Overall, this is great!
