Hannah R - Night Motion

I took this picture for the day and night assignment. I took it at night and used glow sticks as a light source. I shook the camera to try to create motion in the picture. When editing, I increased the saturation and contrast to make the glow sticks pop a little more. I like the results of this photo.

I like the lighting of this photo. It is very soft lighting that seems to blend into the dark background of the photo. The photo has a very orangish cast. The tonal range of this photo is very cool. You have multiple colors that are not similar working together to create a collective image. The green, yellow, and reds of the bracelets seem to mold together to compliment the orange tones of the hand. I like the mood of this photo. By looking at the photo, you can tell that the photographer enjoyed taking it.

This is a really interesting photo! The way the subject is in soft focus makes it very unique. I also like how the background is plain black. It makes the subject stand out. The pop of color from the glow sticks is also very nice, as is the way you used the rule of thirds rather that centering the subject.I think that shaking the camera is a really creative idea! Overall great job with this photo, it's really cool!

This picture is genuinely so cool, I think the way you captured the movement in the photo makes the photo really interesting. The separation between the dark and light areas of this photo really emphases the hand's motion, and brings attention to the bright colors. I really like how the photo is out of focus because it emulates the trippy vibe of the picture. I really love this picture and personally wouldn't change a thing about it!
