Alice B - Autumn Lake

The title of the photo is Autumn Lake. It was taken at my sister’s backyard in the fall season with my Nikon COOLPIX L830. I edited it to make the fall color leaves brighter and more saturated to show up better. I should have taken it with a better angle because it’s not getting enough of the bright trees and the dark part takes too much of the photo. I liked this picture because of the variety of colors and the reflection.

Hey Alice! This picture is great! I love the reflection aspects. Also the vibrant fall colors are gorgeous and add so much to the photo. To improve the photo, I would have changed the perspective, as you said. But instead of changing it to show less of the "dark part" as you said, I would change it so you could see more of the lake. I think the dark adds a good contrast to the photo. Nice work though!

I really like this picture! i think the colors are amazing and the way the colors stand out and contrast with each other is great. I think it would've been cool if you cropped the grass out of the photo to just get the bench and water, but i think it looks amazing as it is!

Alice, I really like the vibrance and intensity of the fall leaves in this picture, it definitely adds so much definition to this picture. The only thing I would have changed was the way it was cropped and the brightness of the sky. I would have cropped out the grass, and brought an orange or blue photo filter to the picture to help with the brightness of the sky. It truly is a beautiful photo, Nice work!

The picture is amazing, the colors look great and they stand out really well. The only thing i would do to the picture is crop it a little. But overall it looks great the warmth and brightness makes it look good.

I really like this picture! I love how vibrant the leaves are, and how clear the reflection is. I agree that the angle is a little off, but other than that i love this picture!

Nice picture. The reelection is awesome as it is very clear and not blurred at all. The colors also work very well and do not draw your attention to one part of the photo. They could be brightened a tad bit, but other than than awesome great photo.

i really like this picture and how you made the fall colors brighter. the reflection on the lake is really pretty! Ido agree with you about how the dark part takes too much of the photo. But overall its a really great picture.

I really like this photo a lot especially how it shows all the fall colors. I also like the reflection on the water a lot. The only thing i might do is brighten the right side of the photo a bit but other than that I think this photo is perfect.

The reflection is really good in this picture, and the fall colors really stand out. I would lighten up the dark shadow part. There is a good variety of colors though. I would maybe change some of the brightness or add a filter to make the colors come out even more.

Hey Alice! Great photo! Fall is my favorite season and I think this photo really captures what fall is all about. Not to mention how this is a great reflection photo, I love the vibrancy of the colors of the leaves as well. I would definitely keep this photo. The only critique I might have is the blurry foreground but other than that, grew job!

I like the exposure in this, nothing too light or too dark. I like how you used rule of thirds with the bench and placing it in the left corner. I like the feelings coming from this photo, very warm with all the fall colors in it.

i love this picture! the shadow from the trees over the water makes the vibrant trees stand out nicely. i like the empty bench in the foreground it shows a sense of abandonment. overall great picture the only thing i think you could've done differently was brighten it up a little so that the trees in the front would've stood out a little more

Beautiful picture! The colors look amazing. And I love how you can also see the reflection of the trees. Good job.

This is an amazing photo!! The colors in it are beautiful! and i can't believe how calm the water was in order to get such a clear the reflection of the trees with such detail of color. I do agree that some parts of it could be brighter, but the overall picture is incredible. I think the empty bench does represent a nice and relaxing place to sit and just clear your head, but I also think it would've been cool to have someone sit in stand it would have some lonely, artistic feel to it. But great job on such a great shot!

I love this picture! The exposure is great and really makes the picture with the contrasting light and dark. I like how the focus is on all of the landscape. I like how the water curves and leads you towards the end. I really like the colors in this photo and how vivid they are!
