Wrilen W- Hoover

 This photo was taken near Hoover City Hall in the afternoon. It was taken with a Kodak Pixpro AZ528 Camera. I edited it by using Nik 6 Color Efex, giving it a bleach bypass filter. I don’t have an opinion on how it could have turned out better and I think it looks good as it is.

Jack S- Audi Lake

This image is called Audi Lake. It was taken on New Year's Day at Oak Mountain State Park Lake. It was taken with my Sony A6000 on a 28-70mm kit lens. I edited it by changing the coloring and temperature as well as how bright the image was. It could be better if the trees had a little more colo,r and I don’t love how blue the image is, but that's about it. 

Julia M- Annie

This picture is of my dog Annie and it was taken December 26 2025 4:51am I cropped this picture and didn’t really do to much for editing, I brightened up the picture, I took the picture with my iphone camera, I don’t know how it could be better, I think my dog is really cute but it would look more interesting if she wasn’t laying down maybe.

 

Angel F- The Past

 I call this image The Past. This image was taken at the Hoover Rec Center, I don’t exactly remember when it was taken, probably around 2024 summer. This photo was taken with a phone. I changed the color of all the surroundings and lowered the brightness and contrast of the image to give it more of a cinematic look. I think it could have been better if I made it darker because it looks too bright. One more piece of info, this was taken in the morning.

Alana M- Aesthetic But Admirable

Aesthetic But Admirable, taken December 12, 2025 while walking to the store with my siblings. Taken by my Iphone 14 plus and edited by using a warmth filter on photoshop. Some things are removed from the photo to make the subject stand out in the photo even though we have the sky as the subject with other things going on in the photo. It would be way better if I would have stayed still but again we were walking so I had to hurry and get the picture. It’s a beautiful picture but it could be more outside the box and edited better to its full potential. Maybe using my camera would have been better but it’s still okay and a good picture to me at least. I love the sunsets and sunrises and thought that this would be a cool picture to type about or discuss. 

Anna R - Christmas Party

 The title of my picture is Christmas Party. It was taken at my friend Alexa's house, on January 3rd of this year. Christmas Party was taken with my Minolta MND50 and edited using the Photos app on the Mac Computers. I adjusted the contrasts and played with the colors while editing the picture, which made the picture more vibrant. I believe the blue pillow  could have been removed from the setting to really focus on the subject. 

Trizah O- Pensacola, FL

 This picture is titled ‘Pensacola, Fl’ because it was taken in Pensacola on New Year's. I didn’t really edit it, but I would increase the contrast to make the image slightly clearer and zoom in a bit more on the building to give more detail to the photo. This was right after we went to a restaurant that I cannot remember the name of, but it had really good food.

Reginald L- Place Setting

The title of this image is Place Setting It was taken at home 3 or 4 months ago. It was taken with a iPhone 13, and how I edited was I used the auto edit option first, then I adjusted my brightness and contrast. I also lowered the darkness to give it a sharper look and blurred out the background. And I liked the overall outcome.

Kavi H - Nintendo Land

 The title of this image is Nintendo Land. It was taken at the new Universal Park on Dec. 31, on my iPhone. It wasn’t edited, but it could be better if I had higher quality on it.

Anastasiia O- Art

This is a picture I named “Art”. There’s paint, my sketchbook, markers, and just things that are art-related. I took the picture with iPhone 15 Pro Max, in my room. I really like this image because of the aesthetic that it gives. 

Taha O- Cool Hill Thing

 The title of the photo is Cool Hill Thing. This was taken in some random park in Vestavia on November 20th. This photo was taken with my phone, and I edited it by adding text, brush, noise, and some filters. I felt like I could have added some more.

Sarah J - Pink Evening

This image is titled Pink Evening. It was taken outside of my grandmother’s house around 5 pm on Christmas Eve of 2025. It was taken with my iPhone XR and I edited it by upping the saturation and brightness. I also cropped the image so the moon was closer to the very center. I could have made this better by lowering the saturation of yellow, as one of the clouds appears more yellow than I would like and doesn’t mix well with the other colors. Other than that, I’m happy with how this picture turned out.

Cassidy D- Butter Turkey

 The name of this photo is “Butter Turkey.” It was taken on November 27, 2025, at my house. It was taken with my iPhone 14 Plus. It could’ve been better if the turkey had been centered on the plate. 

Chase M- Birmingham

 The title of this photo is called Birmingham, it was taken at the WBRC new station. This photo was taken on June 13, 2024. It was taken with my iphone 14. I edited this photo on Photoshop by using the Viveza effect. I think this photo could have been taken better if I took the picture from a better angle.

Maddie M - Locks

 This photo is titled “Locks” because it was taken of different locks people attached to the Brooklyn Bridge. I took it with my Canon EOS and didn’t edit it a lot just brightened the exposure and contrast a bit. It could be better if I took the photo with a little more space below the locks. 

Braden K- Light Pole

 The Title is Light Pole and was taken near my house around September/October. It was taken with my Nikon D70. I edited it by using the burn tool on the lights and darkening the image somewhat. I think it would be better if I removed some of the objects in the frame. 

Aubrey M- Above the Clouds

 The title of this image is Above the clouds, It was taken above the Atlantic Ocean on the way home from Costa Rica. It was taken at sunset, with my iPhone 14. I edited it with Photoshop, I brought down the highlights and exposure. Then I brought up the shadows and blacks in this photo. I think it could be better if it had a clearer subject. I feel like the wing of the plane adds personality, but it's distracting from the sunset.

Kendal R - Sunset

 The title of this image is ”Sunset.” This photo was taken on December 27th, 2025. It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T7. It was a bit darker at first, so I brightened the sunset a bit and darkened the shadow, making the bottom half of the image darker to bring the sunset more into focus. I think I could have gotten a bit more of the sunset in the photo, but overall it didn’t turn out too badly.

Reese J- Pathway

 The title of this picture is Pathway. It was taken at the botanical gardens and it was taken some time in September. It was taken with my Panasonic FZ40. In the original picture the trees were green but I edited it by making all the trees red,  I increases the brightness and got rid of the trash-can in the background. One way I think it could be better is if I could have included some of the lake the walking trail went around.

Ava J - Verde

 I called this picture ‘Verde’. I was with my family on a trip to the zoo on January 4th. I took this picture with my iPhone. I edited it by increasing the color, and decreasing the light. It could’ve been better if I had found a specific subject to photograph rather than an environment as a whole. I really like this picture, because I like taking pictures of nature and scenery.

Lilly S- Give Love

 The title of this photo is “Give Love”. It was taken in Manhattan, New York on December 28 with my iPhone. I edited it by turning down the lighting to put more emphasis on the lights and adjusting the coloring so the colors were more pronounced. I think it would be better if I angled a little differently (more to the right) so you could see the words clearer.

Susan D- Dog

 The title of the image is dog, because it is my dog JJ, it was taken in my room in the morning after he bit my airpods the night before. It was taken with my iphone 15 plus, i didn’t edit it since I like the soft colors and lighting present. It could be better if i was closer for more details to come through. 

Tully S - Oversight

This photo is called “Oversight”. I took this photo on December 31st in Gatlinburg. It was taken with my Canon EOS 2000D. I tweaked the contrast and colors mainly. If I had a better camera lens for long-distance shots, it would've been a better picture. I took this photo on a sightseeing helicopter ride.

Josiah G- Silver Effex 2

 Taken outside on my porch in the morning. I took the photo using the back of my phone camera. I had edited on photoshop using the silver effect and erasing all the color from the photo. I couldive add a bit more shadows to the photo and give it more light. There is no inmforamtion I want to share about the image. 

Jayda S- The X-mas Tree

 The title of this image is The X-mas Tree. It was taken in Alabaster at my aunt's house on December 13th. It was taken with an iPhone 14 Pro Max.  I edited it by increasing the exposure and brightness, making the photo clearer by adjusting the clarity, and reducing the vibrance slightly.  I think I could make it better by erasing the glare of the light on the floor. I helped my aunt decorate her Christmas tree. It took us about 2 hours to finish it. It was a very fun experience because the tree came with the lights already on it, so all we had to do was add the ornaments and things. 

Isabelle G - Summit One

 The title of this image is Isabelle Gray - Summit One.jpeg. This was taken in New York City at the Summit One building on December 26th. It was taken with my iPhone 17 Pro. I edited it by lowering the lighting, increasing the hue, and increasing the color. It could be better if I had maybe tried different angles to sharpen the image more. It was a fun experience, and I enjoy looking back at this photo.

Reagan H- Sunset

The name of the image I picked is Sunset. It was taken on January 4, 2026 when me and my friend were hanging out. I took this on my new iPhone 17 when I was in the car. I cropped out some around the sides because there was a gas station sign that was mainly in the image and I turned the brightness up some to make it a little brighter. I think that I could have adjusted some of the other settings like the contrast to make the colors in the image more seen. 

Clay G- Misshapen Face

 The title of the selected image is Misshapen Face. t was taken at Bumpus in 2 years ago with an old camera. I used a editing tool to misshape his face

Denver C - Miata Headlight

 The title is Miata Headlight. It was taken in my driveway on Dec 21. I took it with my Nikon D3000. I changed the temperature and lighting on it. It would be better if it had better lighting and color.

Angel B- Love at Sight

 This was taken at Tip Top on January 4th at 4:36. It was taken on my iPhone 16, and this photo was edited by lowering the exposure a bit on my phone to make the sun appear more beautifully. It could’ve been better if I got a better angle so the sun could be more visible. This was taken after a hard day’s work. (Exercise) and I just wanted to chill and see the sunset.

Nate H - Pots

 The title of this image is “Pots”. It is a photo of plant pots sitting outside on the side of a window. The photo was taken near where I get my haircut. It was taken a month ago. It was taken with my phone. I edited this by cropping the photo, changing the saturation, and increasing the clarity and grain. I think it could be better if I changed the color.

Adien E- The Reason for the Season

 This image I titled “The Reason for the Season” and I took this on my iPhone 16 at my church a couple of days before Christmas. I played with the lighting and highlights. I wish there wasn’t a glare from the flame, but other than that, I'm happy with this photo.

Tucker C- Night Flower

 I took this photo at my house during the third week of school in August. The camera was a Nikon D-40, and the main changes I made to the photo were increasing the contrast and cropping the image. The improvements could be to have the bottom half of the flower focused more, but overall, it's a decent photo

Caleb C - A Fall Day

The title of my image is called “A Fall Day”. It was taken in Aldridge Gardens and 4 days before Thanksgiving. It was taken with my iPhone 14pro with adjusted brightness before taking it. I edited by changing my color filter on the phone only. I could have gotten a different angle from the spot where I was.

 

Hazel A. -Mini Bean

The picture is called Mini Bean, where Bean is her name, and we found her that night, where this picture was taken in December 30, around 12, having her inside for some hours, where there were adjustments in its colors, filter, cropping, and cleaning it up as finishing touches although the filer and in general the way i took this image could’ve had different angle and lighting and lastly she is really tiny and adorable

Aimee A- Show Time

 I named this photo “ Show Time.” I took this photo on March 13th  at 6:35 PM. The place I took it was at the theater in Chicago when the band went there last year for our trip. This photo was taken with an iPhone, and the way I edited it was by cropping the photo to get some of the people out of the way, but I didn’t crop it too much since I still wanted to show a little of the sound buth that they have down there. I think it could have been better if I had made it a bit brighter.

Sophie A - Feelin' Pink

The title of this image is “Feelin’ Pink” because I was in a pretty pink mood when I took this with my iPhone 12. I was in Waco, Texas on December 30th when I captured this, and I was in the gardens of the Magnolia Market. I edited this photo by increasing the color ever so slightly, as well as the light. Nothing major at all since my phone already took a pretty good photo. Maybe I could’ve cropped some of the white flowers at the bottom left corner out, but I just didn’t care. Should I have? Let me know :) Otherwise, during this Texas trip I made some nice memories with my cousin and a close online friend I met that day. It was such a fun trip and I would do it all over again if I could.
 

Kingston C- Gecko

 This was taken on the balcony of my apartment, and it was taken with my camera. The only edits I made were turning the lighting down and adding some saturation. It could look better at a different angle and with better edits.
