Sarah J - Umbrella at Night
This photo is titled “Umbrella at Night”. It was taken on my back porch on the night of September 29 with my iPhone XR. I edited it by turning up the saturation and warmth, as well as turning down the sharpness and definition. I could have done better if I had fully outstretched the umbrella, then it wouldn’t have as many creases, which caused a lot of unwanted shadows (especially near the top).

The photo is nearly perfect. It's exposure, dark vs. light areas, and balance on this is amazing. The shading in deeper parts or the photo makes it come together more to a better look. The cropping and framing of the photo is neat. I get a half calm half energetic mixed with a romantic mood. I would hang something like this on my wall because it's a questioning picture but it comes together so well. CC - HHS
I absolutely love this photo! I like how the lights illuminate the underside of the umbrella. This gives me a sort of romantic/calm feeling- like getting coffee at night. I agree with the creases and shadows. Overall, it's really good! CD- HHS
This photo is great. I love the lights and all the shadows from the creases because I think it adds dimension to the photo. I can't think of anything I would change. Good job! - MM (HHS)
This photo is so cool, i really like the lights on it, i think it would be better if you turned down the exposure a bit to make the lights look better. Overall 9/10 photo
This is so cool! I don't know if you edited in the lights or they were already on the umbrella, but it's a really nice touch! I really like the lighting and the warm colors of the umbrella and the lights. Also another thing I notice that I personally like is the texture of the umbrella. It looks like petals on a rose. Amazing job! -VS HHS
I like this photo a lot! The exposure in this image is great. The lighting is great and I like how you use the lights on the umbrella. I love the angle of this picture and the coloring of it. The structure of the umbrella helps to create wonderful lines. I like how there is still a darkness to the photo but it is illuminated. This image is amazing, wonderful job! - I.G. HHS
