I titled this image “Catmorial” because it’s a statue of a retired F-14 Tomcat, situated right
outside the National Museum of Naval Aviation. I took the photo with my Samsung Galaxy Note
9 on labor day as we were exiting the museum. I edited it by removing some people who were
standing in the shot as well as by adding some overall filters to make the photo look old and
grainy. I think the photo could have been better if I took it from a different perspective because
then the statues of soldiers surrounding the F-14 would be in a more uniform alignment with it.
However, any other angle would have a big flag pole in the way of it. I also could have removed
evidence of the flagpole in this photo from the top left corner as well as make the sky seem
more “smooth”, for lack of a better word.

This is a great photo. I really like the film look it has. The color and grain ties it all together.
