Denver C- Cigarette
The title of my image is Cigarette. It was taken at the summit on October 1st around 9 pm. It was taken with my Nikon D3000. I changed the light settings and slightly changed the colors. It would definitely be better if I didn’t have the bush in the background of the shot. Overall, I really like how the picture turned out, but it could’ve been better.
Addison G- The Story of My Life
The title of this image is “The Story of My Life”. I chose this title solely because of the books in the picture, but it also has a deeper meaning. Reading overtook my life in 8th grade, and it’s been a great way to escape from reality and learn to be more imaginative. I took this picture with my phone, and I edited it through Photoshop, where I constantly touched up the lighting. I think the photo could be improved if I changed the positioning of some of the books piled on one another, or the vines in the middle.

Brianna T- Rainbow of Wonders
Tucker C- Car Light Night
The photo I chose for the Blog statement is the picture of my mom's car headlight. I took this picture at night at my house. The photo was edited by making everything White and black and messing with the lighting effects. I believe this photo turned out pretty well, but some improvements could have been made to the wear on the back of the headlight was more focused and not as blurry, which is something I need to be working on. But I think this photo turned out pretty well, considering this is my first night and day project, the only thing that I find annoying is the Fact that the whole headlight is not focused.

Kendal R - Washington Monument
This photo is called the “Washington Monument”. This photo was taken in Washington, D.C. on August 15, 2025. It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T7. I made some lighting changes with the brilliance and brought out the colors in the photo. It could’ve been better if the people weren’t there to take the attention away from the monument, possibly. This photo also features a reflection from the water, which makes it look even more appealing.
Angel B- Sunset
This was taken on August 23, 2025 on Tip Top Grill. It was taken with my iPhone 16. I edited it by moving the brilliance, exposure, contrast, and black point up a bit while lowering the highlights and brightness. I also adjusted the light by moving it to the left. It could’ve been a little bit better if I increased the brightness and decreased the blackpoint so the fences don’t look completely dark. This photo was also taken after a little rain, which can symbolize how there is always beauty after the storm. Both figuratively and literally.
Jack S- Audi Foothills Pwky
This image is called Audi Foothills Pwky. This was shot on Sunday, Oct 15, 2025 on the Foothills Parkway just outside of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This was taken with my Sony A6000 with my F2.8 28-70mm lens. I edited by correcting the whites and colorin,g as well as increasing the saturation/hue and creating an S-Curve for the overall color correction. I think this could be better by showing the background more.
Caleb C - Upper Blackridge Sunset
This photo is called “Upper Blackridge Sunset”. It was taken in front of my house when I got back from my run. I took the picture with my iPhone 14 pro camera. I edited it by focusing mainly on the warmth and color. I feel like it could be better if I focused more on the curve and saturation.

Aubrey M- Did not go Alone
This was taken at the zoo, at the end of last school year. It was taken with my digital SLR, and I went into the bird cage to get it. I did get bitten by a few birds, by the way. I am pleased with this photograph, but I’m not sure how it could be better. If you have any idea how it could be better, please let me know. I had to actually drag one of my friends into the bird cage with me, so I did not have to go alone. She is terrified of birds, and the funny thing is, she ended up being one of the birds' favorite people. I was really happy when I caught these birds almost snuggling, it was beautiful and I thought cute. The colors really caught my attention, and that's one of the reasons I chose it for this mini-project.
Aimee A- Heaven
I named the picture Heaven because the lighting and colors reminded me of something peaceful and almost unreal, like a glimpse of the sky opening up. I took the photo outside the Hoover Met before a football game, and the timing was perfect in my eyes-the sky had this soft glow that made the moment feel calm, even with all the excitement around. I captured the photo using my phone, trying to focus on the contrast between the bright light in the center and the darker areas to add more depth, and made the light in the middle stand out more to draw attention to the part of the image. I think it could have been better if I had made the shadows a little lighter, so more details would show.
Anna R - Illusion
My Blog Image is titled “Illusion”. I chose this name because the way the light is designed, certain illusions show on the walls. This photo was taken in a hotel on December 31st. I took the picture with my phone, but I edited the picture on a Mac Computer by lowering the black color and making certain points sharper. To make “Illusion” better, I believe I could’ve gotten rid of or cleaned up some details in the background, while still focusing on the light’s reflections.
Carter C- Mt. LeConte
his image is titled Mt. LeConte since it was taken at one at one of the many beautiful spots along the trail up the mountain on Sunday, Oct 15, 2025. I took it with the camera on my iPhone 15. I edited it in many different ways mainly focusing on changing the coloring of the image. I think it could have been better if I were to have taken it at sunset or sunrise.

Jayda S- Rainbow
This image is titled “Rainbow”. It was taken on October 7th at my apartment complex. It was taken with an iPhone 13. I turned up the exposure, highlights, and sharpness, and I turned down the shadows. I think it would be better if the concrete were smoother to give the picture a more sleek look. I took this photo when I was having a very bad day to remind myself that it's always light (the rainbow) at the end of the tunnel and that you decide the day you are going to have, not anyone or anything else.
Sophie A - Cabin Sunrise
This photo is titled “Cabin Sunrise”, and it was taken in Sewanee, Tennessee with my phone early in the morning. The original photo was already pretty good by itself, but there were a bunch of leaves scattered on the deck and a swimsuit hanging off the railing that were erased during editing. I really couldn’t decide if I wanted to include the leaves or not, but as you can see I ended up excluding them, and I really don’t know how I could make it any better. I absolutely adore sunrises and sunsets so I had to include this photo in photography somehow.
Taha O- Under the Bridge
The title of the photo is 'Under the Bridge.' I took this photo under a bridge somewhere in Bessemer on September 14th, 2025. I took this photo on my phone while I was trying to find a train track site. I edited this photo by making it a bit brighter and adding layers to the background. I made the background a bit darker and added text behind the bridge. It would have been better if I hadn't taken such a blurry photo, but at the same time, it has its charm.
Kingston C- Cars (first post for 25-26)
This photo was taken from my apartment balcony using a Nikon camera. The edits I made were to increase the lighting of the photo to almost maximum, increase the color to maximum, and apply a dramatic filter to the photo. It could be better if I took the photo at a different angle or with better lighting, other than that, I think it's good.

Mary Alex R- Azalea
I titled this image “Azalea” because this is a picture of an azalea flower in my neighborhood that I took this weekend. I took this with a zoom lens on my Nikon D-5100 camera. I brightened up the flower petals and leaves with the dodge tool, and added a black vignette around the edge to draw the attention to the flower. I wish the center of the flower was slightly more in focus, but I’m overall very happy with how it turned out.
Kaleb P- A Ray of Light
Magie P - Abstract
I took this photo in my mom’s garden for the nature assignment. To edit it, I just adjusted the lighting and colors a little bit with masks.
Rachel N- Rembulan
Samantha M - The Bean
This picture was taken on the Chicago band trip this spring and features my friend Victoria. I don’t quite remember the context for this photo but she tells me it was when two of our friends decided to have me film them licking the Chicago Bean. It truly horrified all of us watching and made for a killer video. You could see their tongues touch the mirrored surface which was why everyone was making a face that reflected Victoria’s. They got sick afterwards.
This picture was taken with a “vintage” photo taker app called lapse where it pre-applies a filter to all your photos. You can’t control the shutter speed which is why it is slightly blurry, but I like to think the app saw her horrified expression and gave itself some creative liberty, suggesting a dizzy feeling after seeing our wonderful friends lick the bean. It was just taken with my iPhone. I really like how the bean warps around my friend pulling her to center focus.
Xenon S - Wavy Wall
The image I took is called Wavy Wall. It is a photo of the top wall of an aquarium display at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago on the band trip. I took it on March 15, 2025 with my Canon EOS R100. When I was editing, I tried to bring out the yellow lighting of the wall and focus on the details of the wall in the foreground rather than the background. I also cropped the image so that the wall would go from one edge of the photo to the other, making it feel like it had more movement. I wish I would have edited it in photoshop to make the background blurrier, but I like the photo a lot.
Victoria S- April Showers
Ethan S - Nostalgia
This image is named Nostalgia. I took this at my moms house around November this school year. I took it with my Nikon D40. I edited it with the Nik6 Analog Efex. I think it could be better if there were more clouds like the one in the center of the image for more color in the sky. I edited and printed this as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine.
Sarah S - Hunter's Lament
This is a composite image named “Hunter’s lament”. It is made up of a picture of dead trees in the winter, a close-up of a Roblox toy I own, and a picture of a plastic egg. I took all of the parts with my iPhone 14. I edited it by heavily manipulating the colors on the background and Roblox toy, also making it frown. The toy blends over the background in a way that emphasizes the lighter tree branches. I copied and recolored each of the eggs and placed them spiraling into the foreground, and added a glowy stroke line around them. I think I could’ve edited this better by making the eggs as vibrant as the things behind them. This image is a reference to the disappointing fate of the beloved Roblox Egg Hunt events.
Javier O- Cold and Hot
The title of this image is Cold And Hot because the person in this picture is very cold and knew what he was doing when I took it It was taken in the photo room near the digital photography class and it was taken with a cold camera. I edited by lowering the saturation which made the colors appear more vivid so the person could look more cold and have a little more aura. It oculd be better if maybe the shadows replicated each other and I saw maybe two that would make the photo more lucid.

Montana T- Lamp
This photo is called “Lamp” and is a detail shot I took for an assignment. I took it in my stairwell and edited it by getting rid of some of the dust on the top of the lamp and lowering the exposure. I love how this photo came out, and I think it’s my favorite one I’ve shot so far in this class. I think it looks great and I hope to take more like it!
Caroline L- Misty Rose
Lamon J- All At Once
The title of my image is “All At Once” since the subject of the image is extremely scattered showing almost every detail possible in the image all at one time. This was from our kaleidoscope project and the original image was a picture of a collaborative mural in Birmingham city. When putting together the kaleidoscope I was reminded of one of my favorite movies, Everything Everywhere All At Once. That is, of course, another reason for the title of the image. My main connection between the movie and my image was the orderly chaos to the photo. The poster for the movie is also very chaotic, but the elements in the photo have a purpose and are able to draw your eye to wherever it needs you to look. I hope thats what my image does. If it doesn’t, atleast it just looks cool.
Andrew C- YOU WON'T BELIVE WHAT HE FOUND
Hey Gamers, welcome back to another review where we have YOU WON'T BELIVE WHAT HE FOUND, where we see what seems to be a brand-new game Links Awakening, being played in the backyard on the all-new console, the Pixel 7, after snow has fallen. This seems to have been made out of many different pictures, I count at least 10, but I think they could have gone for more. Now I hope y'all have enjoyed this review and don't forget to like and sub to allo films and I'll see you in the next review, signing off.
Angel G- Untitled
This photo was taken at the end of April where I took it in a class activity with which it was taken I took it with my phone. After taking the photo, I edited it using Photoshop to enhance the lighting, increase contrast slightly, and bring out the orange tones of the sunset while keeping the shadows soft. I believe the image could be improved by adjusting the composition—maybe including a more defined subject or using the rule of thirds more effectively. I really like the peaceful mood of the image,
Cordell W- 10 at Night
Caroline S- Column
The title of my image is Column, because it is of a column in Chicago. It was taken during the band field trip and I took it with my phone. I edited it by sharpening it and brightening it and I think the quality would have been better if I had taken it with my camera rather than my phone.
Danielle H- Small View at School
This was taken at the school in the Court Yard. All I did when it came to editing was zoom in a little, and I made it black and white. I like this photo and how it looks.
