Kye W- Family Moment

This photo captures a precious moment at my brother and his partner's apartment, taken on February 17th, 2024, with my Canon Rebel T7 camera. I enhanced it with a black and white filter, adjusted lighting, brightness, shadows, and clarity to improve its quality. Cropping the top half focused attention on the people in front. I envision adding a smile to my sister's face as she holds our newborn niece, Tatum, born just a week prior.

 

David R- Ghostly Elementary School

 I call this “Ghostly Elementary School” I took it in Downtown Birmingham in the Caraway area. I used dramatic warm for the picture and I really like how it turned out. I honestly feel like this is one of the best pictures I have taken. I feel like if it was a little lighter then the picture would have been better.

Jaden O- Peak of Sunset

 It was taken outside of my friend house when we were hanging out using my iPhone. I just change the lighting to make it a bit darker. Now that i'm looking at it again, I should've just left the brightnes alone.

Zoey M- Dollar Greenral

This was taken at 5:59 pm on February 26, 2024 at a  dollar general in bessemer. I took this with my iphone 12. I used the Camera raw filter and cropped the bottom a bit. I also used the soft contrast filter. I feel like it would be better if I got a clearer shot.

 

Nabeyal K- The All Seeing Chandelier

 This was taken in my house last year. Cropping it and making the lighting brighter.It could have been better if I edited it more. No other info!:)

Kennrix J - Moody Brick

 I named this photo Moody Brick just because of all the different textures the brick shows in this is picture, the photo was taken on my iPhone 15, and no editing was done to this because I felt that everything was already the correct contrast.

Morgan W- Champion Hallway

I titled this image Champion hallway. I took this picture with Mr. Rigsby's camera in one of the hallways in our school. I didn’t really do too much editing to this picture. I brightened everything a little bit and got rid of some of the blotches on the wall. I was originally going to use this for my architecture assignment but I ended up scraping it. If I took more time with it I probably would've got rid of the tear in the ceiling and brought out some of the orange colors.

 

Reid S- 60 Ft Cliff

  The title of this picture is 60 Ft Cliff. I took this photo in the woods behind my house. I took it on March 2, 2024. I edited it by making the picture more light and erasing some of the trees that were in the way. It could be better if I could have made the picture look as tall as it really was.  

Remo M- Wing Man

The title of this image is “Wing Man” and it was taken at Taco Mac on February 5th, 2024. It was taken with my iPhone SE. I edited by making the image brighter and turning the guy in the background into a giant chicken wing. I think this image reached it’s peak to be honest, especially with the giant chicken wing. 
 

Manny M- Among Us

 The title of this image is “Among Us”. I named it among us because it is a character from the game. This was taken on March 5th 2024 while I was in class. This was taken with my Iphone 14 plus camera. I did not edit the picture. I guess it could be better by making the colors pop out a bit more. 

Milan S- Above the Court

The title is Above the Court. This was taken December 17th, 2023 in Tampa, Florida. I took this on my Iphone 15 pro max and I cropped some of the railing out so you can see the court and seats better. I also sharpened it to make the quality look better and used vignette around the edges of the photo to make it look darker. The only thing I would change about this photo would be the quality and to make it clearer, overall I like this photo!!

 

ZANDER H- RS & The Sunset

I took this photo in my driveway December 30th, 2023. I took this photo with my iPhone 15. I edited this photo by editing the camera raw filters changing saturation, shadows, highlights, and textures. I edited the intensity of the red in the brake lights and darkened other areas on the car.

I feel like this photo could be better if I used my actual camera to take the photo but it was just in the moment because I thought the scenery looked nice. As well if the sunlight wasn’t shinning too bright I feel like it would’ve made the background and the sky look better.

 This photo was all day February 27, 4024 It was edited in Photoshop just a little brighter and the shot with my iPhone was taken in the Walmart parking lot.

Marshall P- The Lincoln

I took the photo at night at the Lincoln Memorial in D.C It was taken on my iPhone, I didn't edit it at all. 

 

Owen P- What is She Looking At?

 This picture  is called What Is She Looking At? because I honestly have no clue. It was taken February 16th at Hattie B’s Downtown. I took this picture with my iPhone 15 and I did not edit it at all. It could be better if it was more centered and if it wasa little darker.

RJ R- Water

 I titled this image Water and I took it in the bathroom at my house. I used my Canon T3i camera for this picture. I had multiple versions of this image where I just changed the colors around but for this one, I just did a bunch of small adjustments. I think the image could be better by getting more focus near the bottom but I still think it looks good.

Tayla S- Interior View

 This image was taken for the Architecture assignment. This photo is called “Interior View.” This photo was taken on February 15, 2024 at the Hoover Public Library. This photo was taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max camera. I put a cartoony/artsy filter on this image for creativity, and I changed the brightness and contrast. I think this photo is fine the way it is, so I think nothing could make this photo better. This photo was my best photo I edited in the Architecture assignment. 

Elyssa W- Downtown Dallas

I titled this image Downtown Dallas where it was taken. It was taken March 4, 2024 with my Iphone 13 pro. I did not edit this photo but probably could have cropped it a little bit however I like how it turned out.

 

Kyle H- Mclaren

 The title of my image is called Mclaren. Because this picture is a picture of the brand new mclaren 750. This picture was taken in Vegas at a car museum. This picture was taken with an Iphone 12 Pro. In order to edit it, I changed the picture to black and white. Next, I increased the contrast and lowered the brightness. This picture could of been better if I took the image at a better angle. 

Porter M- Camera

This is a shot I took recently of my friends. It is called “Camera”. It was taken downtown after we went to a market at the McWayne Science Center. I did not do very much editing toit, as I liked the vintage look of it, but it could be better If I lowered highlights and exposure. Overall, I like the look of the picture a lot. 

 

Kayli M - Misty Trees

This is an image I took on my phone of some palm trees in Biloxi. Only thing I changed on the image was the saturation and lightning. I think the image could have been better if it was a different time of day but I think this photo is still pretty great!

Brooke L- Bricks

 This picture was taken on February 17th in a Mexican restaurant bathroom. I took it with my Iphone XR and I edited it by turning up the blacks and the contrast and turning down the highlights to it. I don't know how the picture could be better.

Adam K- Field

The title of this image is Field and this was a path that led to trailers that me and my friend used to take out trucks and 4 wheelers down on weekends

This image titled “Window” was taken inside my home. It was taken using my IPhone. This is a panorama, so I took 12 photos and merged them together in photoshop. After that, I adjusted the exposure and brightness. It could have been better if I had taken more pictures. 
 

Cailyn M - Car Show

 I gave the title Car Show to this image because that is where it was taken. I took this picture in Tulsa Oklahoma at a car show being held at their convention center. I took this image with my phone as I was walking by this Bronco. I did limited editing because I really like the way the image looked. I darkened parts of the image and added clarity into the image. I also removed to people from the image because I felt they were distracting. If I could change anything in this image I would probably shoot from a different angle. This would give a different perspective on the car itself. 

Bri L- About Me

The title of this picture is About Me because I used this picture in the about me project. This picture was taken in August of 2023 on my IPhone 13 Pro Max in my old neighborhood. I feel like this picture could be better if I didn’t edit it so much. But I edited this picture by adding a lot of contrast to this picture to make it brighter. 

 

Harleigh P -(Alien)ation

 This photo is named (Alien)ation. I took this photo on Feburary 2nd, 2024 of my friend Kennrix. This shot is named (Alien)ation because the colors and overall setting behind the image gives me outer space and alien vibes. I enjoy this photo a lot but wish his eyes stood out more. 

Maya H- Cicada Skin

I took this photo with my camera in my back yard in November. I didn’t edit this one, so I think it could have been better if I had put more focus on the cicada skin, rather than the fence--maybe by cropping it some. 
 

Edgar E- The Jail

I took this photo in the Galleria, it was taken on February 27, I edited it by making it less shiny and adding a different color. This photo was taken with my iPhone 25 pro max. It could be better by putting more things in my opinion, it's fine the way I put it.

 

Harrison H - Lost Within Reality

 The title of this image is “Lost Within Reality”, I’m not to sure why I named it this but it just kinda gives off that feel. This was taken in one of the hoover highschool hallways. I edited it using lightroom, I increased the clarity just a bit and increased the exposure slightly, I also used the masking brush tool to select and edit very specific areas of the picture. I’m not to sure how I could edit better but I do wish I had more light so that I could do more within the edit. Credits to Cade Wilbanks for being my model for the photograph.

Marissa H - Flower

 I titled this photo Flower. I took it on March 3rd around 5 PM. This flower was in my front yard and it was only a single flower. I took this picture with my iphone 15 pro max. I edited this photo only using the camera raw filter because I didn’t think that the photo needed to be edited a lot. I also turned up the sharpness so that way the flower was more detailed. I really like how the sun was positioned for this photo. Overall I really like the picture of this flower. 

Daniel F- Evangelion Quote

The title of this image is Evangelion Quote. This photo was taken for the still life assignment on November 9th, 2023, on my desk with my Nikon D7100 on a tripod to ensure no camera shake. I edited this photo by doing minor color corrections on the Eva and I changed the entire background to red to replicate the feeling of a scene from The End of Evangelion and added a quote from the show which shows up on the NERV logo. I think this photo could have been better if I had lined up the right hand better to feel like it was attached to the body rather than coming up from nowhere. My main idea with this image was to experiment with the mask tool to see how I could change the entire background to one solid color. I used my Threezero Evangelion Unit 01  for this project because in the show there are many shots of Eva 01 on a solid background so I felt it would be fitting. Evangelion is a groundbreaking and phenomenal show, I highly recommend it to anybody interested.

 

Samantha M- Purple Pink Skies

 I call this photo ‘’Purple Pink Skies’’ because of its Cotton Candy color scheme (Yes it's named after a Taylor Swift lyric :) and I took this photo in December before Winter break with My iPhone 15 while driving on Lakeshore. I over-saturated and made the colors more vibrant so that I could adjust the original golden-orange color scheme to a more appealing purple-pink. I liked the way this image turned out, but I think it would be better if I added another filter on top to add some dramatic flare.
