I titled this image “Azalea” because this is a picture of an azalea flower in my neighborhood that I took this weekend. I took this with a zoom lens on my Nikon D-5100 camera. I brightened up the flower petals and leaves with the dodge tool, and added a black vignette around the edge to draw the attention to the flower. I wish the center of the flower was slightly more in focus, but I’m overall very happy with how it turned out.

Kaleb P- A Ray of Light
Magie P - Abstract
I took this photo in my mom’s garden for the nature assignment. To edit it, I just adjusted the lighting and colors a little bit with masks.
Rachel N- Rembulan
Samantha M - The Bean
This picture was taken on the Chicago band trip this spring and features my friend Victoria. I don’t quite remember the context for this photo but she tells me it was when two of our friends decided to have me film them licking the Chicago Bean. It truly horrified all of us watching and made for a killer video. You could see their tongues touch the mirrored surface which was why everyone was making a face that reflected Victoria’s. They got sick afterwards.
This picture was taken with a “vintage” photo taker app called lapse where it pre-applies a filter to all your photos. You can’t control the shutter speed which is why it is slightly blurry, but I like to think the app saw her horrified expression and gave itself some creative liberty, suggesting a dizzy feeling after seeing our wonderful friends lick the bean. It was just taken with my iPhone. I really like how the bean warps around my friend pulling her to center focus.
Xenon S - Wavy Wall
The image I took is called Wavy Wall. It is a photo of the top wall of an aquarium display at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago on the band trip. I took it on March 15, 2025 with my Canon EOS R100. When I was editing, I tried to bring out the yellow lighting of the wall and focus on the details of the wall in the foreground rather than the background. I also cropped the image so that the wall would go from one edge of the photo to the other, making it feel like it had more movement. I wish I would have edited it in photoshop to make the background blurrier, but I like the photo a lot.
Victoria S- April Showers
Ethan S - Nostalgia
This image is named Nostalgia. I took this at my moms house around November this school year. I took it with my Nikon D40. I edited it with the Nik6 Analog Efex. I think it could be better if there were more clouds like the one in the center of the image for more color in the sky. I edited and printed this as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine.
Sarah S - Hunter's Lament
This is a composite image named “Hunter’s lament”. It is made up of a picture of dead trees in the winter, a close-up of a Roblox toy I own, and a picture of a plastic egg. I took all of the parts with my iPhone 14. I edited it by heavily manipulating the colors on the background and Roblox toy, also making it frown. The toy blends over the background in a way that emphasizes the lighter tree branches. I copied and recolored each of the eggs and placed them spiraling into the foreground, and added a glowy stroke line around them. I think I could’ve edited this better by making the eggs as vibrant as the things behind them. This image is a reference to the disappointing fate of the beloved Roblox Egg Hunt events.
Javier O- Cold and Hot
The title of this image is Cold And Hot because the person in this picture is very cold and knew what he was doing when I took it It was taken in the photo room near the digital photography class and it was taken with a cold camera. I edited by lowering the saturation which made the colors appear more vivid so the person could look more cold and have a little more aura. It oculd be better if maybe the shadows replicated each other and I saw maybe two that would make the photo more lucid.

Montana T- Lamp
This photo is called “Lamp” and is a detail shot I took for an assignment. I took it in my stairwell and edited it by getting rid of some of the dust on the top of the lamp and lowering the exposure. I love how this photo came out, and I think it’s my favorite one I’ve shot so far in this class. I think it looks great and I hope to take more like it!
Caroline L- Misty Rose
Lamon J- All At Once
The title of my image is “All At Once” since the subject of the image is extremely scattered showing almost every detail possible in the image all at one time. This was from our kaleidoscope project and the original image was a picture of a collaborative mural in Birmingham city. When putting together the kaleidoscope I was reminded of one of my favorite movies, Everything Everywhere All At Once. That is, of course, another reason for the title of the image. My main connection between the movie and my image was the orderly chaos to the photo. The poster for the movie is also very chaotic, but the elements in the photo have a purpose and are able to draw your eye to wherever it needs you to look. I hope thats what my image does. If it doesn’t, atleast it just looks cool.
Andrew C- YOU WON'T BELIVE WHAT HE FOUND
Hey Gamers, welcome back to another review where we have YOU WON'T BELIVE WHAT HE FOUND, where we see what seems to be a brand-new game Links Awakening, being played in the backyard on the all-new console, the Pixel 7, after snow has fallen. This seems to have been made out of many different pictures, I count at least 10, but I think they could have gone for more. Now I hope y'all have enjoyed this review and don't forget to like and sub to allo films and I'll see you in the next review, signing off.
Angel G- Untitled
This photo was taken at the end of April where I took it in a class activity with which it was taken I took it with my phone. After taking the photo, I edited it using Photoshop to enhance the lighting, increase contrast slightly, and bring out the orange tones of the sunset while keeping the shadows soft. I believe the image could be improved by adjusting the composition—maybe including a more defined subject or using the rule of thirds more effectively. I really like the peaceful mood of the image,
Cordell W- 10 at Night
Caroline S- Column
The title of my image is Column, because it is of a column in Chicago. It was taken during the band field trip and I took it with my phone. I edited it by sharpening it and brightening it and I think the quality would have been better if I had taken it with my camera rather than my phone.
Danielle H- Small View at School
This was taken at the school in the Court Yard. All I did when it came to editing was zoom in a little, and I made it black and white. I like this photo and how it looks.
Anna G- Winter Portrait
Ashlyn G- Fine Details
I titled this picture Fine Details because you can see all the details of the ceiling and architecture. This was taken in Chicago when I went on a band trip to the historical museum. This was taken with my phone, and I edited it by increasing the lighting and sharpening the image so you can really see the details. I wish I had zoomed in a little more when taking this image so you could see everything.
Angel E- Flower
Liam D- Demon
The title of this image is Demon. It was originally taken early September, but edited late March. The picture was taken with my iPhone. I edited pretty much everything about the image. I liked the top looked like an eye.
Emily C- Eggs
This image is named “Eggs” because the little berries look like eggs on the tree. This photo was taken when our photography classes went on a nature walk around Hoover high school. This photo was taken with my canon camera. To edit this I added more shadows everywhere except the berries so I could highlight the berries. This photo would be better if I could get the photo In better focus.
Angel M- In April
Jaxon L- The Other Side
Sadie S- Prom Night
The title of this image is “Prom Night”. It is a picture of my friend Michelle that was taken in my car on prom night. It was taken with my kids’ digital camera from Amazon. I edited it by making it black and white and then adding a little bit of vignette. I think the photo would be better if it was less grainy and if I took it with a better camera.
Daniel K- Car
I titled this image, creatively, “Car”. It was taken a few Saturdays ago in a Target parking lot with

Reagan M - Flower of Twilight
Rachel S- Riches
My picture is titled “Riches”. It was taken in my room with my Nikon and I tried to set up a mini studio with a sheet. I edited it by increasing the light to try and make the gold a little brighter. I wish that it wasn't so blurry though. I feel like some of the gold just blends together. And also I wish that the sheet wasn't wrinkled in the back. Overall though i really like this image.
Calliope T - Spring Flower
The title of this image is “Spring Flower” because it was taken in my garden in the first few days of spring. It was taken on April 5th, 2025. I edited this photo by darkening the background a little and increasing the contrast. I also brightened the colors and cropped the image slightly. I think this picture could be better if I cropped it a little more and also used a different angle.
Nora M- Destin
The title of this image is Destin. I took this picture in Destin, Florida during a Dolphin Watching Cruise during the summer of 2023. I took this photo with an Iphone 13 pro. I edited this photo by simply adding a photo filter over it. I think this photo could be better if it was more centered and less bright.
Joshua N- Bloom
I took this image in my backyard around April 4th, and it is of some flower my mom planted. I took it with my iPhone 16 pro, and I edited it with a couple things. I increased the saturation, increased the contrast, blacks, and made it brighter. I also made it a lot sharper so you can see the individual petals, as well as increasing the clarity. I think that it would be better if it was more focused at the beginning, but I am happy with the final result.
Nichlolas T- Bristling
This image is titled “Bristling” because of how it looks and what the subject is. This was taken in my house’s laundry room on March 19. I increased the sharpness by a lot and I think I put a color burn on it. Also since this image is a kaleidoscope I duplicated it and reflected it. It may be slightly misaligned.
Evelyn J- FD McArthur

Laura H- Grand View
I took this photo in Canada. It was taken with my phone. I edited it using Brighten and Contrast tools.

Jorge S- Anthony
I took this picture of my best friend, Anthony, in Mr. Rigby’s studio with his camera. I took the bottom half corner of his face and made it into a kaleidoscope that looked fairly creepy. I then played around with the curve setting and found this demonic-looking thing you see now. I think it could be better if I could make the reds more redder
Kais C- The Universes Eye
The Universes eye, Im not sure when like a few weeks ago it was taken in my house with my iphone 13 pro i heavily abstracted the hue and light on lightroom and then added stars in photoshop, i really wish i could add more of a color pallet with a shoot star in the eye
Irais B-C - End of Beginning
This photo was taken somewhere in Chicago, Illinois, while the band was on a cruise by the Navy Pier. I took it on my iPhone 16, and I edited it by saturating the photo as well as brightening it up. I tried bringing up the sharpness on some of the buildings as well as their windows. My main points were just to make the sky be seen as well as the different colored lights. I think I could've done a little less on the sky since it now looks a little bit pixelated. I also should've lowered the brightness on the two big yellow lights. Other than that, I like this photo quite a lot before and after the editing. Just a nice photo in general.
Chandler D- The Colored Flower
Mazzy C- church
This picture is titled Church because it is a photo of some church I took in downtown Birmingham. I took it on March 8, 2025 with my Canon camera. I edited this picture by making it darker and turning the exposure down and I also played around with the tinting and coloring. This picture could definitely be better if it were more focused and still. It is kind of blurry. But I chose this picture because I like the lighting and the mood of it.
Hayden C - Sunrise in Pensacola
The title of this image is “Sunrise in Pensacola” and I took it on April 13 at 6 in the morning. I hadn’t intentionally gotten up that early, but more naturally done so out of habit of waking up for school. As the sun began to rise I loved the unique colors it was giving everything so I decided to take my camera and take some photos. I didn’t do any editing to this photo. I tried to, but I preferred the way it looked without any. I accidentally took this photo in landscape mode when I’d meant for closeup, but for some reason I think that accident made it look so much better.
Lily D - Under the Rainbow
Chloe C- Brunch
The title of my image is called ‘Brunch’ because… I took it at brunch. My family and I were up in North Carolina and found this cute spot inside a hotel. I didn’t bring my actual camera with me, so I had to use my phone. The photo before the table and wall were both pretty bland, so I added more pops of color to make it more appealing. I really like how the background is blurred out– adding more focus onto the plantain front of me.
River B- Phone Pole
Title of this image is a phone pole. It was taken a few weeks ago somewhere downtown. I took it with a regular ole camera. It could be better if I edited it a little. Make sure to like, comment and subscribe.
Milo B - Sunset of a Lifetim
The title of this picture is Sunset of a Lifetime. It was taken on December 1st with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I did not edit this one, but if I were to have edited it, I would have drawn out some of the darker colors.

Maddie B- Colorful Vases
This picture is called Colorful Vases, and I took it with my phone last month for the architecture assignment. It is a picture of some vases that are on a ledge over the front door in the entryway of my house. I edited this picture by darkening it a little bit and adding some grain. Then I added a vignette and increased the saturation of some of the vases. I like the way this picture turned out, and the editing was a little different from how I feel like I usually edit photos, which was interesting. I think it could be better if I had taken it from a different angle. Also, there was one light on the chandelier that looked different from the others because the sunlight wasn’t hitting it the same way, so fixing that might improve the picture as well.
Ellie B- Church
The title of this picture is “Church”. It was taken on March 28th in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City. It was taken on my phone and I edited it to enhance the contrast to bring out the detail. I also cropped it slightly to better center it. It could be better if it were slightly less blurry.
