Daniel K - editedbooknight

I titled this image “editedbooknight”, which was more utilitarian when sorting through the file explorer rather than if I were to come up with creative nomenclature. It was taken in my room at around 8pm one night and I took the photo with a Nikon D750 camera that had a variable lens on it (the focal length I set it to was around 200mm). I edited the image by removing clutter from the side as well as slightly brightening up the overall image before applying vignette. I think the focus on the lens could better show the text on the pages, but the angle the photo was taken really only allowed me to put individual paragraphs into focus. While I could have changed the angle, I think the dynamic point of view produces a more interesting photo and, as such, I think the sacrifice is worth it.

This photo is genuinely amazing, I have zero critiques. The lighting and the cool tone puts it all together. The angle compliments it very well too.

The exposure is very soft and I like that it is underexposed. I like that the framing is sideways and the colors are very dull. In the photo I see a very depressing mood and I quite enjoy it. AT-HHS

This looks like a frame from a movie, like a high budget one. Very cinematic nice job!
