Maggie P- Acceptance

This photo is titled Acceptance, based on the meaning behind spider lilies surrounding death and the feeling evoked by the sunlit flower in the photo. I took this photo in my backyard on September 23rd with my Canon EOS Rebel. To edit, I cropped the photo and then did a little bit of color grading and lighting changes to adjust the shadows. I don't know exactly how I’d make this photo better, but I know there’s something about it that could be improved, I just can’t seem to point it out specifically.

I really like this picture of the spider lilly. I like how the background isn't too focused on and the flower is in frame. Your caption is very beautiful and so is the editing you did. Nicely done!

I love how the spider lily is the only thing that isn't blurred, and how there is another one in the lower right corner. I really like the colors in this, and the background with different colored trees looks really good. HHS-JN

I like the colors and lighting in the picture. The composition is good too. The flower is clearly the focus of the image, and the leaves in the foreground really make it stand out. MB- HHS

I love how the background is out of focus, and the flower is clear. The subject is in the center of the frame. This picture gives a calming mood.

I really like your photo pf the spider lily. I love how well the red pops against all the green in the photo. I also love how focused the spider lily is. you did a great job!

I love this picture and the story behind it! I love the lighting and the brightness of the colors! The flower is in focus and you can see so much detail on the petals! The only thing I would critique is that the blurred leaves in front of the camera are a bit distracting from your main subject. Other than that, amazing job! -VS HHS
