Angel H- Tubby

 The image is called “Tubby”. It was taken on Halloween on October 31st. The picture was taken with a phone. I lowered the brightness and increased the contrast, I also made some changes to the curves. It could be better if there was nobody else in the background of the picture. 

Julia M- Simple Things

 The name of this photo is Simple Things because it is just a photo of my dog with a paper towel rollin her mouth. I took this picture with my iphone camera December 29th 2025 and was taken inside my room. I didn’t edit anything because I felt that my dog looked pretty good. It could have been better if her ears were up or if there was an interesting light source 

Renea M- Purple

 The title of this photo is Purple, taken May 18, 2025 at the school actually. Taken with my camera, not the phone camera but an actual camera which I just forgot the name of. I didn’t really necessarily edit it but it could have been edited by dimming the light just a little, increasing the contrast just a bit and maybe removing some things in the background. It could be better by editing it and getting a different angle of the flowers and adding in some more of the plants. 

Jayda S- Salmon Dinner

 The title of this image is “Salmon Dinner”. It was taken on January 18th at the restaurant 51 seasons. It was taken with an iPhone 13. I edited it by upping the exposure, whites, shadows, and clarity. It could be better if I got a closer shot of the food so you could see the texture of everything more. 

Susan D- Light

 Title of the picture is Light due to how much I love the color and lighting of this image after editing. This picture was taken inside my neighborhood. It was taken with my iphone 15 plus and I edited it by scaling the colors and brightening certain areas. I think it can be better in multiple ways like maybe cropping it better or so on. 

Cassidy D- Broken Wings

The title of this picture is “Broken Wings.” I took this picture on June 30th at Parc Maisonneuve. This is a picture of a Pipevine Swallowtail with, well, broken wings. I wish I could have centered it more and gotten better lighting for the color of the wings

Reginald L- Composite 2

 The title of this photo is composite 2 it was taken in front of my house and how I edited was i first added another photo to the picture then I flipped the second photo making it upside down and then I moved it to the bottom of the image after that I both of the two images making it look clear and I also kinda blended the middle of the two images to make it have a cleaner look.

Kavi H - Performative

The title of this image is Performative. I named it this because the man in the photo is being productive and is very interested in the book. It was taken in the photography studio on Jan. 29th. I think the image could be better if I added more shade to the man or the book.

Kingston C- Shadow

The tidle of this photo is Shadow because the photo and the car are so dark. I had a warm kinda of filter on it. I took this photo at World of Wheels at the BJCC. I could have better lighting and a better angle.

Braden K - Rural Roads

 The title is “Rural Roads” because I took it in the countryside of Tennessee. I was taken on August 22nd at my dad’s house and shot with my Nikon D70. I edited it by blending in another shot of a neighborhood and some candlesticks. I think it could’ve been better if I got the greenish tint off the barn and fixed some of the errors from masks.  

Reese J- Birmingham Skyline

 The title of this image is called Birmingham skyline. It was taken on the va parking-deck on march 1st, sometime in the late afternoon around sunset. It was taken with my Olympus od-e. It was not edited because i think it looks good how it is. It could be better if i made the shot closer to the skyscrapers.

Ava J - Drizzle

 The title of this image is ‘Drizzle’. I took this picture with my iPhone on February 3rd, when I was picking up my sister from track practice. I edited this picture by decreasing the light, increasing the color, and turning the dramatic filter to 40. It could be better if I had made the picture clearer and had a stronger focus on the subjects in the shot. I really liked the droplets of water on the window because I think it has a cool effect on the picture. 

Reagan H-Chicago Lights

 I titled this image Chicago Lights. I took it last year when I went to Chicago with the band. I took it on my phone when we were driving back to our hotel. I edited it by turning up some of the brightness that was in the picture. I feel like it could be better if it was more centered and maybe more in focus. 

Kendal R- Pima Canyon Trail

This photo is called “Pima Canyon Trail”. I took this photo on December 6, 2025, on my Canon EOS Rebel T7. I was walking on a trail in Phoenix, Arizona, when I decided to take this picture. I brightened up the lighting in the photo a bit, although I probably should have done more to remove that yellow glare in the photo. 

Isabelle G - French Garden

 This image is called French Garden. It was taken on the island of Mont-Saint-Michel, France, on May 30, 2025. It was taken with my iPhone 14. I edited it by increasing the lighting and color. It could be better if it were taken as a landscape. This was a little garden in a church on Mont-Saint-Michel. It was very peaceful because people were quietly enjoying the view.

Tully S- Church Cookout

This photo is called Church Cookout. It was taken last fall at my church. I took this photo with my Canon EOS 2000D. I just made it so that the food would pop while having some good shadows, and I added a vignette. I don't know how it could be better, but I would love to get everyone's opinion.

Caleb C - "On My Pond"

 “On My Pond” is the title of the image. It was taken at Alrdidge Gardens, and me, my mom, and my sister were taking a walk. It was taken with my iPhone 14 Pro. It wasn’t edited, but it did have a warmth filter on when I adjusted my camera settings. I don’t really know how it could be better; it’s very cinematic. 

Adien E- Tulip Festival

 I took this photo at the Tulip Festival in Montevallo back in April, and I love this picture. I love the abundance of color; it makes the picture bright. I didn’t do any editing because I was happy with the results as is!

Lilly S- Flower Bouquet

 The title of my image is “Flower Bouquet”. It was taken in the Hampton clubhouse on February 28 with my iPhone. I edited it by turning up the saturation, vibrance, brilliance, and definition, as well as slightly turning down the exposure and adjusting the sharpness. I think it could be better without a lot of the floor in it, or if the bottom part was more colorful. 

Angel B- Interior Nature

 This photo is named, “Interior Nature”. It was taken in my living room during the day on October 1st, 2025. It was taken with my Iphone 16, and I edited it by having a blur in the background mid-shot and by lowering the exposure a bit to not make the flowers look so bright. I could’ve added a lighting to make the glass shine and maybe not make the exposure as low though. The stems of the plants aren’t very visible. 

Maddie M- Hair tie Bridge.

I titled this image “Hair tie Bridge” because both main photos were taken on the Brooklyn Bridge and the photo that adds all the color is of hair ties people have tied on to the bridge. I took both photos with my Canon EOS on December 28, 2025. I edited this image in photoshop by adding a motion blur to the bridge then overlaying the other image with the color burn option and decreasing the opacity then I brightened the overall image. I think I would like it a bit more if there were some more buildings next to the one on the left but I am still happy with how it turned out.

Anastasiia O- Hungry

 I named this picture “Hungry” because of all the pictures of food that I used for it. It was my composite assignment, so I just decided to use as many pictures of food, and also added a picture of a plant in there. I blurred the first picture, which was pretty much the base of the whole project, and made the final image brighter and more colorful. 

Wrilen W - Color Efex

 This photo was taken near Hoover City Hall outside during the afternoon. It was taken with a Kodak Pixpro AZ528 camera. I edited it by adding the Color Effect in photoshop from the Nik Collection filter menu. I do not have an opinion on how this could have been better and I think it looks good overall.

Denver C- Forgotten

The title of this image is Forgotten. I took it on top of a parking garage near the Galleria near sunset. I took it with my Nikon D3000. I edited by adding grain, changing color, and adding masks. It could’ve been better if the lighting had been better, but I feel overall I did okay on it

Hazel A.- Evancito

 The name for the picture I took is of my friend Evan, also known as ( Evancito ), which is the title of the picture. It was taken in 4b lunch on September 30, 25 at 12 pm with my Canon camera, and I edited it by adjusting the lighting, color, and noise, using a dramatic warm filter, and did some cleaning up and cropping. If I can do it better, I would say something about the filters, fixing it up, and possibly trying new angles, but so far, it's one of my favorites I've taken.

Aimee A- Sunny Day

 I named this photo “Sunny Day.” I took this photo on August 24th at 3:54 at a park by my house. I took this photo with my Canon camera, and the way I edited it is by removing the leash from my dog, removing some rocks that were on the ground, and bringing the brightness higher. I think I could have made this photo better by cleaning up the background a little more.

Chase M- Fun On The Playground

 The name of the photo I chose is called fun on the playground. It was taken at the playground at the hoover library on September 25th 2025. It was taken on my iPhone 15. I edited this photo during the composite project combing different objects and elements to my photo. I think this photo could of looked better if I made it look a little smoother.

Anna R- Deep in Thought

 The title of my image is “Deep in Thought”. It was taken at the Galleria on February 1st at 4:44pm with my Iphone 15 Pro. I edited the photograph by cropping it, cleaning up details on the stairs, and making the picture black & white then changing different contrasts. I believe the photo could be better if you could see more details of the subject, which I could have achieved if I had taken this photograph with my camera. 

Jack S- Sunset Skyline

 The title of this image is Sunset Skyline. This was taken in Late July last summer at sunset. I took this photo in Orange Beach, AL. I took this photo with my Iphone16 and edited it by adjusting the coloring and lightness. I’m not 100% sure how it could be better, but I’d love feedback!

Sarah J - Stay Home

 This photo is titled “Stay Home”, and it was taken outside of my house on December 28th of 2025. It was taken with my iPhone XR and I edited it in Photoshop by darkening the background, making it more grainy, making the greens of the sky more pronounced, darkening the sky, and lightening the house. I heavily based it on American Football’s (a band) album cover photo from their album “American Football”, though it is not exactly the same. It could have been better if I made the edges around the house darker and made the house lighter, but overall I’m satisfied with it. 

Aubrey M- The Swimmer

The title of this image is The Swimmer. It was taken towards the beginning of the year, at a high school swim meet. Its of a swimmer from another high school. It was taken with my Nikon camera, I put it into Photoshop, and used camera raw filter to edit it. As well as I cropped it, I think it could be better if it showed other swimmers too. 

Sophie A - Coral Tank

 The title of this photo is Coral Tank because it shows an aquarium composed of coral, fish, and other organisms. I took this photo Saturday, March 1st 2026 on my iPhone 12 at the McWane Center. I didn’t edit this at all, but to make it better I could’ve brought my actual camera and used it.

Addie G- Two Sides to a Story

 The title of this image is “Two Sides to a Story”. I used multiple photographs to complete this composite portrait. I used my phone for all of the photos used in this. I edited this photograph by experimenting with the layers and filters. I think this portrait could be better if I made the eyes more centered. 

Tucker C- Composite 3

I took this photo for the composite assignment. I edited by blending three images together using a tree photo, a car logo, and a photo of my dog. I didn't change much for the car logo, but for the tree shot I added the ripple effect. I think this image turned out pretty well except I kinda wished my dog would been more bold and clearer and not so blended in with the whole image. 

Carter C - Beach Beauty

 This image is titled ‘Beach Beauty’, it was taken March 2025 in Punta Cana. I took it with my iPhone 15, I only did minor editing to the lighting. The only way i could see this being better if it was taken at sunset.
