Angel F- Nutcracker
I call this image nutcracker and the beast. This image was taken at the hoover library, it was during the time of christmas getting closer, there was an event so this picture was worth it. This image was taken with a phone. I made the image more contrasted and gave it some brightness so it looks and feels more themeful. It could probably be better if the nutcracker was looking at the camera. Another piece of info is that this image was taken at night time.
Reginald L- Candid Portrait
The title of this photo is candid portrait. It was taken at the island of Pigeon Forge with an iPhone 16, and how I edited it was that I first adjusted the light exposure, highlights, and contrast to make the photo look darker. I also sharpened the image and increased the color saturation to make the image look more colorful and clear. I think the overall outcome was great.
Anna R - Photoshoot
“Photoshoot” was taken in Mr. Rigsby’s room on January 30th with a Canon Eos 80D. I edited the photo by adjusting light aspects such as the brightness and brilliance and slightly increasing the warmth. I believe this photo could be better if the background color sheet was less wrinkly, but other than that I really like this image.
Taha O- On the Ground
This photo was taken at my drummer's house in springville Alabama, on December 22nd. I took this with my phone, and I edited it by adding text behind the person and changing the filter. I felt like I could have added some more, but i dont know what I could have done.

Cassidy D- Friends
This photo is called “Friends”. It was taken at the school on my iPhone. I feel like the lighting could’ve been better and my friend and I could have been centered more.
Isabelle G - Getting Ready
The title of this image is Isabelle Gray - Getting Ready. This image was taken in Oxford, Mississippi, on October 25, 2025. It was taken with my Canon 40D. I edited it by increasing the lighting, decreasing the color, increasing the RGB curve, increasing the hue, decreasing the saturation, and decreasing the luminance. It could be better if I had increased the actual lighting in the room by maybe opening a window. This was an overall fun trip, and I enjoyed getting to explore with friends.
Julia M- Geese
I took this picture with my phone on december 27th 2025 at a park, I thought the geese looked really cool in the picture, I brightened up the photo and added some warm tones and sharpened it so you can see the geese. I feel like It could have been better if my camera was better and I was able to zoom in on the geese better.
Maddie M- Central Park
I titled this image “Central Park” because it was taken in Central Park on December 31st, 2025. I took it with my Canon EOS and edited it a little by increasing the brilliance, black point, saturation, and vibrance to make it brighter and a little more blue. I think it could be a bit better if when I took the photo I moved a bit to the left to get a more even view of the trees.
Ava J - Night In Birmingham
The title of this photograph is ‘Night in Birmingham’. I took this December 13th while on a trip to downtown Birmingham with my family. This was taken with my iphone, and the way I edited it was by cropping the bottom, decreasing the color, and increasing the light. I think it could be better with a different angle that makes the building look more straight up than tilted.
Reese J- Overlooking Chattanooga
This was taken in the summer of 2025 with my iPhone. I did not edit it because i think it looks alright how it is so it can stay true to how it actually looked when i was there. It was taken on top of lookout mountain just south of downtown Chattanooga.

Sarah J - Black & White
This photo is titled “Black & White”, and it was taken during the afternoon in my room. I rearranged some objects I had on my desk to take this photo. It was taken on my iPhone XR. I edited it by adding a black and white filter. I could have made it better by getting rid of the dust on the book and the glass of the pocket watch. However, I think the dust could also add to the old vibe of the photo.
Renea M- Angel
The Title for the image is “Angel”, this photo was taken in Mr.Rigsby’s studio January 30th, 2026. Taken with the class camera, I didn’t edit it as much as I would edit any other photo because it looks amazing just the way it is but I did in fact remove some of the small details from the photo to make the model be the main subject and nothing else. It could be better if I did decide to edit it to its perfection but it is okay because next time I will edit it to the best of my ability. This particular picture is my very favorite because of the lighting, the angle the model is posing in and overall just the photo itself. I am very proud of the photos from the photoshoot I did on my friend for the assignment.
Nate H- Hidden
The title of this photo is Hidden. I took this photo at the top of my street. I edited this photo by changing the brightness, saturation, and adding a vignette. It could have been better if it was cropped a little more. But I enjoy this photo and think its nice.
Addison G- Dandelions
The title of the image is “Dandelions”. It was taken in a park behind the old house that I used to live in. I took it in the fall of 2023. I took it with my phone and changed the lighting by enhancing the vibrance, contrast, and shadows. I even used some grain because it made the photo look really interesting. I think it could have been better if I had enhanced the sky lighting a bit more.

Lilly S- Winter Tree
The title of this image is “Winter Tree”. It was taken on January 17, at my grandparents property in Pell City. There is a pretty pond there and my family likes to go out there for multiple activities. This was taken with my IPhone and I edited by slightly turning up the brilliance, vibrance, and shadows. I think it could be better if the top right area was in a little more focus.
Jayda S- 4th of July
The title of this image is “4th of July”. It was taken on the 4th of July at my aunt's house. I took it with an iPhone 13. I turned up the exposure, clarity, and shadows, and I turned down the whites. I think it could be better if I centred the pool more because it looks crooked. This was such a fun day for me. I got to be with my family, and we ate food, listened to music, and swam in the pool.
Tully S - River View
I call this photo “River View”. It was taken in Gatlinburg on Christmas break. It was taken with my Canon EOS 2000D. I just made the photo more vibrant and rotated it a little bit. If I had a long-range lens, I could’ve taken a better shot.
Wrilen W - Analog Effect
This photo was taken in my dining room during the afternoon. It was taken with a Kodak Pixpro AZ528 Camera. I edited by adding the analog effect in photoshop from the Nik Collection filter menu. I do not have any opinion on how it could have been better and I think the photo looks good overall.

Kendal R - Between Two Silences
This photo is called “Between Two Silences.” I took this photo on December 3rd, 2025, on my iPhone. I darkened the clouds a bit and brightened the sunset a little to bring it into focus as the main subject. This photo could have been brightened a bit more, anyway. I chose the title because in this photo, you’re above everything, suspended in a peaceful pause. No past pulling you back, no future rushing you forward. Just stillness and sky.
Susan D - Walks
It was taken at Vulcan Trail on a weekend with my friends and I taken it with my iPhone 15 plus. I didn't really edit it as I thought the colors captured can stand on its own. I do think it could be better if I had someone in the image or if it was focused on something specific.
Hazel A.- El Perrito Polar
This image is of my friend's dog, taken on the afternoon of December 16. I edited it to enhance her eyes, removing the red color and replacing it with a rosy tone, cleaned up her hair to make it more presentable, and tried to make her eyes stand out. Although I would have preferred doing another image, the dog is an amazing one fun fact about polar is that she likes to spins many times anytime and anywhere.
Adien E- Candid of Hannah
I took this picture of my friend Hannah on my iPhone 16 at north itaila before homecoming I really like this picture I think it shows her personality I didn't do much editing other than make it black and white and made the highlights brighter
Tucker C- Car Wheel Analog
The photo I chose was a picture I took for the Nik project. I took this image in my neighborhood of a car wheel. I took it at an angle to give it a distinct look. I used the analog nik efex platform to give the filered look that is shown. This photo could have been better if I would have tooken a picture of the whole wheel but I think this photo turned out just fine and one of the best ones I edited for the Nik project but this one was my overall favorite
Caleb C- Sun Peak
The title of this photo is “Sun Peak”. I was taken at Aldridge Gardens and I took it two days before thanksgiving. It was taken with my iPhone 14 pro. I edited it by changing the filter to warm. It probably could be better if I had a different angle on the tree. Other than that I think it looks pretty good.

Aubrey M- Costa Rica Hot Springs
Angel B- Nature's Beauty
This was taken on January 29th at the Hoover High School courtyard, and was taken with a Canon Rebel T7. I didn’t edit it ever since I downloaded it because at the time I was content with how it looked. Now that I think about it, I could lower the brightness and exposure a bit and even add a vignette. But overall, I am still content with the outcome of this photo.
Josiah GK- Untitled
Carter C- Hogwarts
This is image is titled ‘Hogwarts’ because its taken of the castle at hogwarts around a month ago, I took it with my iPhone 15 and the only editing was cropping out couple wizards. I think the image could have been better taken at night with the castle lit up or at sunset.

Denver C - VTA
The title of the image is VTA (Ventral Tegmental Area). I took the photo at Aldridge Gardens on Jan 22, 2026. I took it with my Nikon D3000, and I edited it by removing all color aside from red and changing the lighting. I also added a slight blur outside of the main flower. I could have smoothed out the blur on the image, and I could have gotten better lighting.
Aimee A- Solo
I named this photo “ Solo.” I took it at a band concert on November 6 at 7:19 pm I took this photo with my camera. The way I edited was by bringing the exposure higher, by lessening the shadows, by cropping the photo a little, and by removing someone's head that was in the way. I think it would have been better if I fixed the hand a little because, while removing the other person's head, it messed up the hand a little.
Reagan H- Aquarium
I titled this image Aquarium since I took it at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. I took it on my old iPhone 13 during the band trip last year. I turned the brightness up a little bit and cropped some of the sides that were outside of the fish tank. If I could change anything, I would try to remove the glare that is on the glass.
Kingston C- Power
This photo is named Power. This photo was taken at World of Wheels. The photo was taken with my phone. There are no edits to this photo. One way this photo can be better is maybe better lighting and a bit of a better angle.

Sophie A - Unromantic Late Night Sushi
This photo is called “Unromantic Late Night Sushi” because I made this platter when I got home from work, which was around 8 pm. The process was rushed because I was hangry and impatient, and I was so ready to dig into all of my ingredients. I took this photo in my kitchen at around 10:30 or so, hence the late night part of the title. The lights in my kitchen were a bit blaring, so I added a filter to decrease the saturation and brightness, and I like how it made the warmer colors in the sushi bloom. Honestly, if I had taken 20 more seconds to get more angles and use my Canon, I think I could’ve gotten better quality. Also, the furikake seasoning kinda glows pink which I don’t like and wish I could get rid of. Anyways, does anyone else see this photo becoming a puzzle?
Anastasiia O- Hollywood.
I took this picture during a winter trip to California. I used my iPhone 15 Pro Max to take it. I edited it by making the colors brighter, to have it pop out more, cropped the picture just a tiny bit, and removed any things that needed to be removed.

Wrilen W- Hoover
This photo was taken near Hoover City Hall in the afternoon. It was taken with a Kodak Pixpro AZ528 Camera. I edited it by using Nik 6 Color Efex, giving it a bleach bypass filter. I don’t have an opinion on how it could have turned out better and I think it looks good as it is.
