Aubrey M- Color Run

 The title of this photo is Color Run, it was taken last year after Color Run, with my Nikon camera. I added a motion blur and turned down the exposure, dehaze, and turned up the contrast. I don't know how it could be better so if anybody has any suggestions let me know. 

Lilly S- Sunset Lake

 The title of this image is Sunset Lake. It was taken at Star Lake on January 30 with my IPhone. I edited it by slightly turning up the exposure, brilliance, contrast, shadows, black point, and some color properties. Also by turning down the overall brightness. I think it could be better if I took the picture a little more to the left, so more of the clouds were captured in the frame.

Reese J- Night Sky

The title of this image is called Night Sky, it was taken in my backyard on march 3, 2026 just hours before the blood moon. It was taken with my olympius 0d-e. It was not edited because the way the camera caught the moon with the clouds already looks unreal in my opinion. It maybe could be better if it was edited a little but not to much.

Ava J - Glow

 I named this image ‘Glow’. I took this picture at nighttime in downtown Birmingham with my iPhone. I edited it by decreasing the light and increasing the color. My editing was to make sure the lighting in the picture was highlighted, for extra effect. It could’ve been better if I had stood at a different view or perspective to take the photo, but I pretty much like everything else

Susan D - Blue

I named this image Blue, I figured it fit the theme and both sky and water is stereotypically blue. It was taken from a window of a hotel when I was traveling, at the time I didn't have my camera so i utilize my phone camera. I edited this by adding dehaze, using the dodge brush, and some color and saturation changes. I think I could have made it better by adding a color filter but after seeing the color I got from dehaze and clarity I didn’t feel the need to do that. 

Jayda S- Chi Town

 The title of the image is “Chi Town” and it was taken in Chicago, Illinois on March 13th, 2025. It was taken with an iPhone 15 pro. I edited it by turning up the contrast, texture, clarity and sharpening the image. I think I could be better if I go closer to the buildings so you can see how big and tall they really are. I loved this trip. It was so fun and freeing. Chicago is one of the best cities. 

Reagan H- Legos

 This image is titled “Legos” since it’s a picture of some of the legos sets I have in my room. I took it on my old phone in my room on November 4, 2025. I edited it by cropping out some of the sides and turning the brightness down some so that the keytar is the main part of this picture since it’s the most colorful thing in this picture. 

Tucker C- Detail

 This is one of the photos I took for the architectural assignment. I took this photo near a strip mall by my house with my Nikon D-40 camera. I didn't do much editing-wise, just added some contrast and brightness to reveal the windows and some cropping. I believe this photo turned out okay. I chose this photo mostly because of the cool stains on the wall and the design of the windows. Overall, I think it's a decent photo, but I would rather like if I took a wider image to include more of the wall and to make the window more on the left side of the photo 

Denver C- Hideout

 The title of this picture is Hideout. I took this photo in downtown Birmingham on March 21st. I took it with my Nikon D3000. I edited it by making it more vibrant and a little less bright. It would be better if I got the bird more in focus.

Angel B - Love at First Sight

 This photo is named, “Love at first sight.” It was taken during January around 4:40 on a Saturday. It was taken with my iPhone 16. I edited it by lowering the exposure so the sunlight could be more visible through the trees. It could’ve been a lot better if I cropped it or even had a different angle where the sun could be more flat out visible.

Isabelle G - New York State of Mind

 The title of this image is New York State of Mind. This was taken December 28, 2025 on the Brooklyn Bridge. It was taken with my iPhone 17 Pro. I edited it by increasing the lightning and sharpening the image. It could be better if maybe it was at a slightly lower angle.

Aime A- Believe

I named this photo “ Believe”. I took this photo when I went to the middle of downtown on March 3rd. I took this photo with my Canon camera and I edited it by cropping the image, by making the lights and colors pop more by bringing the highlights brighter. I think I could have made it better if I removed the car in the corner.

Carter C - Downtown Building

 I call this photo Downtown Building, I took it 3/7 when some friends and I went downtown for the basketball game. I took it with my iPhone 15 and edited some street lamps and flags off of the building. I don't see any improvement possible, maybe changing the angle it was taken slightly.

Kingston C- Eyes

 The title of this photo is Eyes because the photo and the car are so dark. I had a warm kinda of filter on it. I took this photo at World of Wheels at the BJCC. I could have better lighting and a better angle.

Sophie A - Vecchia

 The title of this photo is Vecchia, because I took it at 8:07 am on March 18th  with my iPhone 12 in a final effort to get another setting for the panorama assignment. Vecchia has some pretty architecture, and I love the shopping area around the Preserve because it has a very classy and homey feel. I used the photo app editing tool to tweak the colors and definition of the photo because it was looking a bit bland. Honestly I wish I had a cooler photo to share instead, but this is okay I suppose.

Addison G- Temple

 I named this photo Temple. It was taken in Blackridge during our Architecture project. I took this photo with my Iphone 14. The photo at first was very nice so there was not much editing to do. But I did crop the sides of the image and changed the lighting to a better color. I think the photo could be brighter in some spots. The Architecture project was one of my favorites so it was hard to pick just one image!

Julia M- Nature

 This picture is called Nature because I took it outside. I took this picture with my iphone camera at 5pm march 18th. I didn’t really love the way the picture turned out because the flowers weren’t fully blooming, and my camera wouldn’t focus on the front part of the flowers. I think it could’ve been better since it looked prettier in person. But I don’t hate the photo either, I liked the subject. I just wish it wasn’t so blurry in the front. I also edited the light a bit and cropped most of the picture.

Henry H - Architecture or Seeping Light

The name of this photo is Architecture or Seeping Light. I took this photo with my phone, I like the way the composition and lighting adds a different perspective and changes the way the photo is adding more depth and contrast. I edited this photo by also adding a vignette and increasing the clarity. I wished I could have cropped the image more but overall I like the way it turned out.
 

Angel H- Tubby

 The image is called “Tubby”. It was taken on Halloween on October 31st. The picture was taken with a phone. I lowered the brightness and increased the contrast, I also made some changes to the curves. It could be better if there was nobody else in the background of the picture. 

Julia M- Simple Things

 The name of this photo is Simple Things because it is just a photo of my dog with a paper towel rollin her mouth. I took this picture with my iphone camera December 29th 2025 and was taken inside my room. I didn’t edit anything because I felt that my dog looked pretty good. It could have been better if her ears were up or if there was an interesting light source 

Renea M- Purple

 The title of this photo is Purple, taken May 18, 2025 at the school actually. Taken with my camera, not the phone camera but an actual camera which I just forgot the name of. I didn’t really necessarily edit it but it could have been edited by dimming the light just a little, increasing the contrast just a bit and maybe removing some things in the background. It could be better by editing it and getting a different angle of the flowers and adding in some more of the plants. 

Jayda S- Salmon Dinner

 The title of this image is “Salmon Dinner”. It was taken on January 18th at the restaurant 51 seasons. It was taken with an iPhone 13. I edited it by upping the exposure, whites, shadows, and clarity. It could be better if I got a closer shot of the food so you could see the texture of everything more. 

Susan D- Light

 Title of the picture is Light due to how much I love the color and lighting of this image after editing. This picture was taken inside my neighborhood. It was taken with my iphone 15 plus and I edited it by scaling the colors and brightening certain areas. I think it can be better in multiple ways like maybe cropping it better or so on. 

Cassidy D- Broken Wings

The title of this picture is “Broken Wings.” I took this picture on June 30th at Parc Maisonneuve. This is a picture of a Pipevine Swallowtail with, well, broken wings. I wish I could have centered it more and gotten better lighting for the color of the wings

Reginald L- Composite 2

 The title of this photo is composite 2 it was taken in front of my house and how I edited was i first added another photo to the picture then I flipped the second photo making it upside down and then I moved it to the bottom of the image after that I both of the two images making it look clear and I also kinda blended the middle of the two images to make it have a cleaner look.

Kavi H - Performative

The title of this image is Performative. I named it this because the man in the photo is being productive and is very interested in the book. It was taken in the photography studio on Jan. 29th. I think the image could be better if I added more shade to the man or the book.

Kingston C- Shadow

The tidle of this photo is Shadow because the photo and the car are so dark. I had a warm kinda of filter on it. I took this photo at World of Wheels at the BJCC. I could have better lighting and a better angle.

Braden K - Rural Roads

 The title is “Rural Roads” because I took it in the countryside of Tennessee. I was taken on August 22nd at my dad’s house and shot with my Nikon D70. I edited it by blending in another shot of a neighborhood and some candlesticks. I think it could’ve been better if I got the greenish tint off the barn and fixed some of the errors from masks.  

Reese J- Birmingham Skyline

 The title of this image is called Birmingham skyline. It was taken on the va parking-deck on march 1st, sometime in the late afternoon around sunset. It was taken with my Olympus od-e. It was not edited because i think it looks good how it is. It could be better if i made the shot closer to the skyscrapers.

Ava J - Drizzle

 The title of this image is ‘Drizzle’. I took this picture with my iPhone on February 3rd, when I was picking up my sister from track practice. I edited this picture by decreasing the light, increasing the color, and turning the dramatic filter to 40. It could be better if I had made the picture clearer and had a stronger focus on the subjects in the shot. I really liked the droplets of water on the window because I think it has a cool effect on the picture. 

Reagan H-Chicago Lights

 I titled this image Chicago Lights. I took it last year when I went to Chicago with the band. I took it on my phone when we were driving back to our hotel. I edited it by turning up some of the brightness that was in the picture. I feel like it could be better if it was more centered and maybe more in focus. 

Kendal R- Pima Canyon Trail

This photo is called “Pima Canyon Trail”. I took this photo on December 6, 2025, on my Canon EOS Rebel T7. I was walking on a trail in Phoenix, Arizona, when I decided to take this picture. I brightened up the lighting in the photo a bit, although I probably should have done more to remove that yellow glare in the photo. 

Isabelle G - French Garden

 This image is called French Garden. It was taken on the island of Mont-Saint-Michel, France, on May 30, 2025. It was taken with my iPhone 14. I edited it by increasing the lighting and color. It could be better if it were taken as a landscape. This was a little garden in a church on Mont-Saint-Michel. It was very peaceful because people were quietly enjoying the view.

Tully S- Church Cookout

This photo is called Church Cookout. It was taken last fall at my church. I took this photo with my Canon EOS 2000D. I just made it so that the food would pop while having some good shadows, and I added a vignette. I don't know how it could be better, but I would love to get everyone's opinion.

Caleb C - "On My Pond"

 “On My Pond” is the title of the image. It was taken at Alrdidge Gardens, and me, my mom, and my sister were taking a walk. It was taken with my iPhone 14 Pro. It wasn’t edited, but it did have a warmth filter on when I adjusted my camera settings. I don’t really know how it could be better; it’s very cinematic.
