Caroline L - Lavalamp Slash

This is “Lavalamp Slash”. It was taken on October 1st, in my room on my floor. I edited it by increasing the Brilliance, exposure, contrast, and saturation. I decreased the shadows, black point, and vibrance. I also went into photoshop and blacked out one of the annoying reflections. It could have been better if I had removed the glare on the lava lamp itself.

I like the use of lighting to give the picture kind of a sci-fi feel. I do think that the cropping on this could be better though because the lines in the back are unevenly cut.

I really like this photo and the light vs. dark areas. I like the way the flashlight is shined behind the lava lamp and the pattern it creates and I also like the way the light and the dark are balanced, there is not too much of either. CS - HHS

I love how the lava lamp is silhouetted against the light painting. I also love how the light painting isn't just random swirls, but instead an actual pattern. At first, I thought the glare on the lava lamp was an error, but even if it even, I think it creates a really cool effect where the light cuts the lamp into pieces. Overall, great picture! DK - HHS

I love this picture so much!! I would definitely hang this on my wall! I like the balance between the dark areas and the light areas! The lighting isn't too harsh or too soft and the subject of your photo is in focus. Very cool photo! -V.S. HHS
