Paige L - Beautiful Day

Beautiful Day is the name of the photo. It was taken at the moss rock preserve, august 31st 2023. It was taken with a Iphone 14. I used a filter to make it darker and more vibrant and used dodge andburn in some area to really make things pop. could of been lighter and taken better.

 This picture doesn’t have a title because it came from my About Me project, but this picture says a lot about me because I love shoes. This picture was taken in August in my bedroom right after school started. The picture was taken with my IPhone 13 Pro Max. I edited this picture by making it a little darker, but it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to. I think this picture could be better if I would’ve with further back some and took the picture in portrait mode.

 I like this photo, it is one of the best for me. In my opinion, you don't need anything to make it look better. Maybe it can be improved by lowering the brightness or contrast, but in my opinion, it is the best.

Maggie O- Dreams

This photo is called Dreams because it’s a blurry, soft photo that almost looks like it came out of a dream. It’s a self portrait that I took with Mr Rigsby’s Canon T7 in his studio. I edited this photo by cropping it, exaggerating the lighting, adding a pink and yellow hue, and blurring a lot of the photo for a softer look. One of my only complaints is how grainy the photo is. Because of how dark the studio was when I took this picture, the photo didn’t come out as clear as it could have been. Other than that, I love how this turned out and I’m very proud of it. 

 

Remo M- Staring Reflection

 The title of the image is “Staring Reflection” I named it this because my model is looking away from the camera but his reflection is looking directly at it. I took it on September 30th, 2023 after Homecoming at Waffle House and it was taken with my iPhone SE. I really only used the dodge tool to remove some blemishes on his face and there was a weird purple mark on the side of the image that I decided to make the border of the image. I don't think I could've done anything to improve the image.

Samantha M- Environmental

 This photo is called ‘’Environmental’’ because It was taken for the portrait assignment in January-February. I took this photo with my iPhone 15 and I edited it in Photoshop by making the colors more vibrant and using multiple filters to give it a more professional look. I think this photo could be better by having the model do a different pose because it's a basic idea, but overall it turned out good.

Cailyn M- Alabama Nights

The title I gave this image is Alabama Nights I took this image at the Alabama theater on December 21st 2023. I took this with my phone as we were waiting in line to go see Die Hard. I added a blue tinted filter to this image to make the lights look slightly better. The only thing I could do to make this image better would be cropping in a little to get the street lights out of the image. Other than that I am very happy with how the image turned out.

 This is titled Flowers. I took in my backyard with a Canon T7. It is not edited. I wish there was a bit better focus.

 This is a picture of my friend dalia. I took this photo at moss rock the other day. I did not edit the picture at all.

Harrison H- Purp Port

The title of this image is Purp Port because it’s very purple. This image was taken in my bedroom up against my wall. The photo was taken with a canon eos rebel t7. I edited this picture in a lot of different ways using lightroom, I increased the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, and blacks, I then cooled the temperature of the photo and increased the tint. I also decreased the texture, increased clarity, dehaze, and gave it a slight negative vignette. I think I could have made it a little better by using the masking tool a bit. The person in the photo is my little sister.

 

Marissa H- Yellow Flowers

 I titled this image Yellow Flowers. I took this photo on August 31, 2023, at Oak Mountain State Park. I took this photo with my iPhone 11. I edited it by lowering the exposure slightly and I brightened the flowers. I also used the burn tool to dim the sunlight in the back so that way there would be more focus on the flowers. I turned the sharpness up as well and added some color to make everything in the photo more vibrant. I saw these flowers all by themselves and I thought they would be good to photograph. I think it would be better if I cropped the image to be more around the flowers. I also think if I took some pictures of the flowers close up there would be a better outcome. Overall I like this photo.

 This picture was taken in my room with a Nikon Z7. I barely edited it, because I adjusted camera options before taking a shot. It would be better if I’d use a tripod to keep angles straight, but it’s still a decent shot

Diego H- Clouds

My picture’s name is “Clouds”. I took it in Hoover Alabama on October 6th, 2023. I didn’t edit it much, all I did was make the blue darker. I wish the sun were behind the clouds to shine through. It would have been nice to have a beam of light coming through the clouds.

This was taken a few weeks ago, in Calera at a random guy's house. It was taken with my Nikon D40x. I turned up the shadows and increased the warmth. I also added a vignette. I wish i would've had a more close up shot so it would be clearer

 This picture is called Sunset and I took it while I was on the bus on my way home. I really liked how it looked and im glad how it turned out, i think it looked really good, i didn't edit it and i took it with my phone, it obviously could’ve been better if i had more time to take it and i wasn’t inside the bus but i still feel like it looks good.

 This was taken at Moss Rock on January 18th 2024 and this was taken on my Canon EOS Rebel T1i. Maybe if it showed more background it could be better but I am overall satisfied with this picture and I love the scenery in contrast of her hat and outfit.

Ella H- Sunny Flowers

This picture is named “Sunny Flowers.” I took this picture on October 30, 2023 as a part of my Still Life Assignment. I took this picture in my backyard with my Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D camera. To edit this photo, I enhanced the saturation and brightness a little. However, if I were to do this picture again, I would have fixed the focus of the sunflower, so the image came out a little sharper, as well as increased the sharpness through editing. But overall, I am pleased with how this picture came out.

 

Evie G - Soundboard

This photo is called ‘Soundboard’. I took this photo with my Canon Ax700 in the Hoover Theatre lightbooth. I turned up the brightness and added some blue tones from the lights reflection. I wish this picture could have been a little clearer, but besides that I love how it turned out.
 

Daniel F- Warm Light Cold Night

 This photo is called “Warm Light Cold Night”. This photo was taken in my backyard on September 24, 2023. I took this photo with my Nikon D7100. I edited this photo by turning up the saturation as well as turning down the brightness and adding grain. I this photo could have been better if I had not gotten my flashlight in the bottom of this picture. This photo is older so now with more experience I could probably remove that but I decided to leave this as it was when I made it early this school year.

Elyssa W - Dragon Attitude

 I titled this image “Dragon Attitude” and this was a picture of my bearded dragon named Rocco. This image was taken at my house in his tank and to edit this I just brightened it up a little bit. I wish I had better lighting but overall I’m happy with how it came out.

  This image's title is black ice. The ice formed over my back porch during the frost when schools were closed due to the weather. Although it looks dark, it is not in black and white. I edited this on my phone. I took many other photos during the frost which I like very much.

Jaiyva C- Generations of Love.

 I titled the image “Generations of Love” for the fact this is my dad looking at my nephew! It was taken at my sister’s house, and it was taken on 2.22.22 (play that number) which is my nephew’s birthday. It was taken with my phone, and I retrieved the photo from the video I took. I only cropped the photo, but I feel like I could've removed some things like the white table, and mark up items on the table. 

Shelby S - Blinded Lights

 This photo is called Blinded Lights. It as taken in Mr. Rigsby’s studio with his camera during 8th period. I edited it by adding saturation, hue, and vignette. It could be better by cropping it a little better and using more colors other than just red and blue. Kye was my model and Rose helped me take this photo and helped me give Kye the props to use in this picture.

 I took this photo on November 3, 2023 at Spirit Halloween. When editing it, I made the colors more saturated and added grain. 

Rose B - Euphoria

This image is called Euphoria. I took this image in Mr. Rigsby’s studio with his camera. I got my friend Shelby to model for me and I sprayed glitter in front of the camera to get the sparkly look. I added more saturation to make the photo look blue to cover up the flash that was used. Personally, this is one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken. This was for my Portrait assignment.

 

David C- Bible

 The title of my image is just simply “Bible.” This picture was taken on October 27th, 2023 in my upstairs living room. The photo was taken on my personal iPhone. What I did with the image is I cropped it to show it is mostly from an angle of the bible. I probably could have done a better job of the actual photo taken for the image because I didn't like the angle as much as when I first took it. That's why I pretty much cropped it a lot as soon as I went into editing.

 This was taken August 21st 2023 at a local park . This was taken with my iPhone 14. I edited this by lightning the photo and increasing the hue and saturation. I think this could be better if I didn’t increase the saturation so much, giving it a harsh look.

Avery A- The 2do Floor

My image is called The 2do Floor. It was taken at the BJCC on February 3, 2024, with my iphone. The only editing I did was cropping out a few unnecessary details. I think it could’ve been better if I had done a little more editing, but I didn’t really want to do all that.

 The title of my image is Rome. I took the picture on June 19, 2023. It is a picture of the Calcium in Rome, Italy. I used my iPhone 13 to take this picture. I edited it by cropping the picture and I also brightened it a little bit as well. I think the picture could have been better if I edited some of the people out of the picture.

I call this one “Foggy Morning” mainly because it was pretty foggy outside I just took the photo with my phone and it looked pretty good in my opinion and i cropped the picture a bit I do think i could've taken a better picture if i used a better camera than my phone camera

This photo was taken on Jan 31, 2024 in the studio room. It was taken with a Canon T7. I didn’t edit this photo I love how it is already. However, if I were to edit I would probably add some darkness to it to make it not as bright. I like this photo because it has such a euphoric feel to it.

I took this image on my Iphone 14 pro. I saw how pretty the sunset was and decided to photograph it.

 

David R- Outside of My House

 I took this picture about a year ago outside of my house on my back porch. I edited it by making the sun a more orangey color and making the sky look like a darker yellow color. I like how the picture turned out and it feels like the sun is sitting right on top of the house. Overall, I think I did a pretty good job on this picture.

Kyle H- Ferrari SF90

This was taken at an Atlanta car show this past summer. It was taken with my phone, an iPhone 12 pro. The way I edited it, was increasing the contrast. Then I lowered the color filters. I think it could have been a better image, if I took the picture from a different angle.
