Shelby S- Better Together

 This photo is called Better Together, and it was taken in downtown Birmingham in the middle of August. I captured this photo with my canon eos rebel t4i. I edited this picture by adding saturation and vignette, my two most favorite effects. I think I could’ve taken it earlier in the day, the shadows kinda hide some of the wording.

Harrison H-Eerie Forest

     The title of this photo is Eerie Forest, as it resembles a creepy forest-like setting as if you were out camping by yourself but you weren't alone in the woods. The image was taken in Mr. Rigsby’s studio on Nov 10. The photo was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T7. I edited it using adobe photoshop, I increased the contrast and increased the brightness slightly and then added a gradient layer to give a foggy effect adding to the eerie feeling. I think I could have taken the picture in a different place like the actual woods but I was running out of time so I had to do what I could.

Harleigh P- Hazel Mae

 On November 12th, I took a photo titled "Hazel Mae" in my kitchen. I used my Canon EOS camera to capture the shot, which was taken with natural lighting coming through the window. I didn't edit the photo in any way, and the result is what you see. However, I feel like the background could have been captured better to improve the overall image. 

Marissa H - Different Color Roses

I titled this photo Different Color Roses. I took this photo at Costco on November 1st. I took it with my iPhone 11. This photo was originally just bright pink roses, but I used the lasso tool to go around each rose. I then changed the hue and lowered the saturation to make the roses look more realistic. I also added some brightness, texture, and sharpness to the photo. I could have edited this photo better by being more precise with the lasso tool, so the colors didn’t go onto other roses. 

 

Yevhen K - Fade Away

The title is Fade Away. This shot was taken in the end of October near Hunter Street Church. It was taken with a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P200 + tripod. This photo wasn’t edited in any way. It would be better if the lamppost wouldn’t get so much focus.

 

Dalia A-H- Dalia's Clutter

 I chose this as my blog image because it has all of my jewlery and things that I associate with myself and I took a lot of shots of it but I liked this one the most. I increased the saturation of this picture and added a cooling filter to make the purple stand out. I added more contrast between my red items with the purple sheet under it.

Zander H - Bottle Cap Collage

I took this photo for the “Still Life” assignment. I edited this photo by bringing up the brightness and then increased the contrast to make the colors pop more. This is actually a corner of a picture frame made out of bottle caps. I like how some of the bottle caps are rusted and since it was taken up close you would never guess it is a picture frame.

 

Evie G - Looking Through Colored Glass

 This image is called ‘Looking Through Colored Glass’. I took this at my house with my Ax700 Canon model camera. I edited the image so that it had a reddish tone, like fall colors. I then put the filter on to make it look like textured colored glass. A thing I could have done differently is to get a better angle over the piano keys to get more of the keys into frame.

 This was taken August 27th 2023 at the park. It was taken with my iPhone 14. I didn’t edit this image at all. I think this image could be better if I had edited it a little by brightening it or cropping it to get rid of any unnecessary details

Samantha M- Rose

This photo is called Rose and I took this photo in my kitchen in the afternoon after school.

I didn't edit the photo too much because the light hit it just right and it came out. exactly the way I wanted it. I did make the colors more vibrant, and I also adjusted the curves to make the light hit the way I wanted it to. I took this picture against the kitchen floor under the ceiling lights. This photo is the daylight version of this object, and even though I love the way it turned out, I could've taken the shot outside, so it didn't look identical to the Nighttime version.

 

Alisha C- Fuzzy Brain?

The name of this photo is “Fuzzy Brain”. It was taken During a still-life shoot. I shot this using a Canon T7. I edited it by adding text and saturation. I think it could be better by brightening it up a bit. I think of this image because I know a lot of people who can relate to having a fuzzy brain on medication prescribed to help with mental health.

Kye W- Dead Grandma

 This picture was taken in my living room on October 21. I took this picture with my iPhone 11 using the Snapchat app. I use a brown and white filter on this picture, but also editing some of the smudges on the table. I could’ve used a better filter to better give off the feeling I want people to feel.

Aleli S- Candle

 I took this on November the 2nd at a Day of the Dead event downtown. I used a Nikon D750 camera to take this. To edit this I used Adobe Lightroom to make the background a bit darker so that the candle in the front stands out more. I didn't really edit this photo that much. I think that something I could have down to make it better was to get more of the front candle in the frame insted of cutting it off at the bottom.

 

Ella H- Tea Time

 The title of this photo is “Tea Time.” This photo was a part of my still life project, which I took pictures for on October 30, 2023. To take this photo, I used my Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D camera. When editing this picture, I enhanced the brightness, vibrance, and increased the clarity. To bring out the gold from the cup and saucer, I increased the saturation and vibrance. I wanted to have a color contrast between the light colors of the background and the teacup, so I adjusted the tint to be more of a bluish tint. If I were to edit this again, I would have changed where the cup is positioned in the picture to fit with the rule of thirds, and increased the brightness a little more.

Miley H- Flowers

 The title of my image is Flowers. I took the picture at my house on November 6th, 2023. I took this picture with my camera which is a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi. I edited it by changing the color of the picture to black and white. I also erased some little spots that were in the picture. I think it would be better if the flowers in the back were not as blurry. 

Haiden G- Flower of the Wild

The photo was taken on September 2, 2023 at Fun Go Holler park in Pelham. I edited the photo by making it a tad bit brighter and focused more on the flower. If there was a way to make this better I’d probably make the background a bit less blurry.

 

Edgar E- The Sunset

 This photo was taken Thursday, Nov 9 at 4:49 in the afternoon. I took it with my iPhone. I chose this photo because I think it is very pretty. I didn't edit it at all. For me, it looks cool without editing. It could be better if I put less light and density on it.

Zoey M- In My Bedroom

 This was taken on October 29, 2023 in my bedroom. I used the camera raw filter and I used the sepia filter or some other filter that dull colors. I used the spot healing tool for any stains or eraser markings or dust, basically any imperfections. I also used the Photos app to edit the contrast, shadows, highlights, exposure, and the brilliance. I could probably make it better by maybe editing it better or getting a better angle. 

Daniel F- Black and White Ghostface

This photo is called Black and White Ghostface. I took this photo on October 30th in my house. I took this picture with my Nikon D1700 camera and I edited it by making the image black and white then darkening some of the shadows and making the black areas more harsh. I could have made this better if I realized there was a fingerprint on the knife before it was too late the re-take the image. I used the 25th-anniversary Scream Ghostface mask which is the same mold as the one used in Scream 5 and 6 so I decided to use my ticket that I still had from going to see Scream 6 in theaters earlier this year in the picture.

 

Avery A- Garlic Aioli

This image is called Garlic Aioli. I took it at my best friend Owen’s house with my iphone. It was originally a live photo but I changed it to a long exposure to give it a more blurred and dream-like look. I like the way it looks as is, but I think it might look better if it was clearer. I don’t think he knows I took this picture, but as I was standing there looking at him from the window, I couldn’t help thinking it would make a really good picture. 

Sophia H- Breakout

The title of this image is called “Breakout. It was taken at my friend’s birthday party on Nov 10th. It was taken with my cellphone and I edited it on a Macbook photo editor. I feel like this could be better if there were more attracting elements to the photo.

 

Jaiyva C- Basking in the Sun

I chose the name “Basking in the Sun” for my image because my puppy Cooper loves to lay in the sun. He will intentionally lay in a spot the sun shines through. I took this photo in my home in the summertime when he was dozing off. It was taken with my IPhone 13. I edited the lighting in the photo to be more warm and pleasant. If I could change anything it would be to change the angle more upright and to back up. 

Jaden O- Purple Night

I took this picture at the bank and around sunset time and it was the perfect time to snap the picture because the colors were so pretty and the street, road, and building lights went so well together I edit the sky to make it a bit light but dark around the edges. I wanted to find a way for the lights in the roads to gleam a bit.
 

Sean M- Frog Pond

This image is called Frog Pond. I took this picture of the frog pond on schoolgrounds.to take this picture i used my iphone because i dont have a digital camra yet.I edited it by make the hue more red this turned most of the rocks red and made it look like its taken at dusk. I also made it a little more bright.I might have been able to make it better by zooming out a little in the picture.

 The sunset the photo was taken at the hoover met it was taken on september 26, 2023  i took the photo with my phone camera. I just edited with a filter and Photoshop. I think this picture can be better because I could have got a picture of more of the sunset.

Elyssa W - Bring Back Summer

 This picture is called “Bring Back Summer” and was taken on a boat in Panama City Beach. It was taken on September 3rd with my iPhone 13 Pro and I did not see any reason to edit it however I wish the boat wasn't blocking the top of the photo. Honestly, I’m not sure what I could have done to make it better, I really like the scenery and the hear my mom and I created.

Timothy R - Downtown

 The title of this photo is “Downtown.” I named it downtown because at the time I was leaving the hospital and whilst walking across the street I thought that this would be a good photo. This Photo was taken September 7th, 2023 in the middle of the road by UAB Hospital. I took this photo with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I mainly edited this photo by making the lights a bit brighter and I also sharpened the shadows in the back to make it seem pitch black.

Edgar E- A Day on the Beach in Florida

 This was taken on Saturday, September 9, 2023. It was taken on my iPhone 8. It was not edited with anything. It would be better with less light but I didn't add anything to make it natural.

Milan S- Cloudy Sunsets

“Cloudy Sunsets” is the title.  This was taken on the airplane in Puerto Rico on October 4th. I used my iphone 15 pro max. I edited it by turning the brightness up some. I wish I cropped it a little bit more and added vignette around the edges. I also think I should’ve taken a sideways angle so you would be able to see the full thing. Overall, I really like it.
 

Nabeyal K- Cool Car

This was taken at the Ross parking lot in Hoover in 2020. It was taken on a S Ultra 22

I have editiited it with changing the colors. I think It could be better if I could crop a bit of it and change a little bit more of the colors. Its a cool car!!

     The title of the picture I selected is My Jeep. I took this picture at my house. It was taken on September 5, 2023. I took it with my Camera. I think it could be better if I got more of the Jeep’s front and sides. 

Porter M- Helmet

  My image is a picture of Jilly and I at America’s Thrift Store, and the title is Helmet, because we found helmets. I took it with my phone, and I edited it by adjusting the hue and saturation and dimming down the brightness while making red the most prominent color. I chose this picture because it is a picture of me with my favorite person.

Marshall P- Lots of Different Things at Once

I really like this photo because it captures lots of different things at once. The flowers are in bloom which is really nice. It could be better though. I maybe should have edited it more but I like how it was. Overall, this is one of my favorites I have taken.
