Tyrelle H- Evil Lake

The title of this image is Evil Lake. I took it while going fishing with my cousins at this pond in Bessemer. I took this photo with my Iphone 12 Pro Max. I edited it through the photos app on my phone. I made it completely black and white to bring out the detail in the water while also giving the photo an evil feeling to bring out the overall theme of the photo. If I could, I would bring the color of the photo back and adjust the contrast and everything to make the picture look more dark while still having color.

Nora G- Eye

 This image is a photo of my partner's eye and the name is just “Eye”. I didn't really do much to edit it besides change the saturation a little, then I used photoshop to get rid of a few things that stood out too much in the background. I like this one because you can really see the colors in their eye very well.

Jonathan F- Birmingham Night

 The title of this picture is Birmingham Night. I chose to name it this because we were flying above Birmingham and the city under it was lit with all of the lights from restaurants, hotels, and street lights. It was taken in a plane on January 4, 2022. I took this picture with my Iphone. I tried editing by making the clouds more foggy and making the street lights brighter. Could have done it better if I took it without the clouds in the way or gotten a different angle

Martha Claire D- Apollo's Muses

  This photo is titled Apollo’s Muses. This photo was taken outside a theater in Nashville on January 29th. It was taken with my iPhone 11 because that’s all I had on me. I edited the photo in photoshop by using the Silver Efex Pro as well as adding grain to give the photo more depth.  I wish I was able to capture more details of the statue.

Alex B- Smile in The Distance

 I titled this “Smile in The Distance”, This was taken on the outdoor stage of the courtyard on January 11th, 2022 with a Canon EOS REBEL T3. I used the crop tool, turned down the contrast and saturated the photo with Photoshop. I honestly do not know how it could be better. 

Matthew B- Lucky

 The title of the selected image is Lucky. I took it in my house and I don't remember what it was taken with, I think my phone or my camera.

Floyd G- Make a Move!!!

The title of my image is Make a Move!!! I took this picture during 8th period in the gym during the girls basketball team practie I took this picture with my iphone 12 pro I turned the saturation up and added shome shine effects on the court The picture could be better if picture had a more of a focus on the girl dribbling the ball

Betsey S - Coyote

  The Title of this photo is Coyote because it is a photo of a coyote. This was taken in January of this year while I was touring Montana State. We went snowmobiling in West Yellowstone. This photo was taken with my Canon Rebel T6. I edited this photo by cropping the image and bringing out the contrast a little bit.

Elizabeth C- Basketball

 This photo is titled Basketball. It was taken at my house a couple weeks ago when my brother was playing basketball in the driveway. I took this picture on my iphone. I edited it by upping the contrast and saturation and then changing it to black and white. It would have been better if the basketball was actually clean. 

Emily B - Spinning Top

 The title of this image is spinning top. I took it for the action assignment at my house. It was taken with a DSLR camera. I adjusted the color and tone and that’s about it. I don’t know how it could be better, I like it the way it is. 

Joseph R- Smokestacks

This photo is called smokestacks. It was taken in the parking lot of Books Beans and Candles in early February. The only editing I did was increasing the saturation slightly. I think the blues in the sky could be darker and the buildings could be lighter, but I wasn’t sure how to edit it.

Wil B - Against the Odds

 The title of this image is “Against the Odds.” I titled it this because of the dice, and because I took this picture in the studio on February 2nd for the action assignment and the title fits really well with the subject of action photography. Since it is nearly impossible to get the same image twice in action photography, I thought “Against the Odds” was a fitting title. I used my friend’s Nikon d3300 and did some minimal editing by cropping and increasing the brightness in some areas. The only thing I would have done differently is maybe change up the lighting as I was taking the pictures, but I am still very happy with how this turned out. I really enjoyed taking pictures for this assignment because although I took a couple hundred pictures, every one of them was still unique.

Hellen A- Light Bulb

 I named this picture “Light Bulb”. I took this in October in my backyard. I used a Canon Rebel T7. I feel like I could’ve lighted the pictures.  I really enjoyed taking this picture  because I was able to use the filters from my camera. I also got to experiment with other things such as brightness and exposure.  

Carol A- Friends

The tittle of this image is Friends, this photo was taken Jan 12, 2022 in the Hoover High School court yard it was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T6, what i did to edit it was blur the background so that it would focus more on my friend Micah, something i could have done to make it better would have probably been cropping the image.

Marshall F - Skate

 This photo is titled Skate. It is a picture of my friend skating at bucees. I took this for the action assignment with an iPhone XR. I edited this image by making it black and whte. I think the picture could be better with just a bit more blur. 

Paris C- Beyond

 This picture is labeled as (Beyond) because of how she is looking beyond the leaf crown. It was taken on 1:12:22 at Hoover High school. I made the corners more thicker which meant making her more visible to other people. It can be better but I like it just the way I did it. Overall this is one of my favorite pictures I have taken since I’ve been in this class.

Bradley B - Jumping Teniyah

This is a photo from our recent Action Photography project.This was taken on February 15,2022 outside in the courtyard.It was really fun taking the freezing action pictures as you can see Teniyah had a fun time in the picture. I really enjoyed editing this picture by changing the hue and saturation of the trees and the sky and as you can see I did something to get rid of the benches.I changed the contrast and the lightning of the picture and that's about it Overall very fun project and great freezing picture that I took. 

Jackson B - Getaway

 The title of the image is “Getaway”, it was taken at the tennis courts near the Finley Center. It was taken with my Canon EOS 6D. I edited by adding a motion blur effect on everywhere but around parts of the tires. It could be better if I spent more time cleaning it up. 

Emily B- Cloud 9

 I titled this image “Cloud 9” and I took it at the beach over thanksgiving break. I took it with my phone camera because I liked how the clouds looked over the ocean. I edited it by lowering the brightness to make the people darker and to enhance the colors of the sky. It could have been better by taking it at a different angle but I really like how it turned out.

Madilyn B- Powerlines

 This image is called Powerlines. This photo was taken on December 21st, 2021. It was taken in my backyard on the powerline trails of Moss Rock. This photo was taken with my Nikon D40. I didn’t edit it much. I cropped the image and sharpened the edges some more. I also increased the contrast in order to lighten and darken the image. I did not adjust the colors of this image. This photo could be clearer and more focused on one specific subject. 

Grace A- Butterfly

 The title of this image is Butterfly. It was taken on October 13th, 2021, outside my house on a lantana bush. It was taken with a Nikon D50. I edited the picture by mainly lowering the contrast, but then raising the saturation of the oranges and yellows in the butterfly and the flowers. I added a slight vintage filter over the photo to finish it. It could be better if a bokeh was added around the edges of the photo, but otherwise there aren’t any other changes I would make. 

Will A - Misty Skyline

 This image is titled “Misty Skyline” and was taken about 2 years ago on a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. I took it on my iPhone, and as far as editing, I lowered the saturation a bit and I also raised the contrast. Sidney A- The Coolest K9

 This Photo is called The Coolest K9, it was taken at Hoover high school in the courtyard on February 7th, 2022. It was taken with Mr. Rigsby’s Camera, I am not sure what model or brand camera it was but I didn’t edit anything about this image, just cropped it. I think this image would’ve been better if I would’ve caught this while he was in the air. Overall I really enjoyed this project and think this is a pretty cool image of our famous K9 obi.

Trevor P- Morning Coffee

This image is titled Morning Coffee, this photo was taken in downtown Birmingham at a local coffee shop at railroad park. I took this photo in the beginning of January, I took this image for the portrait assignment. As you can see this picture is a candid photo. This was taken on my Nikon D5500, the editing techniques I used for this image was very simple to say the least. I brought the contrast up a little and removed a car that was in the background using photoshop. I felt like the car interrupted the photo and the color pattern in the background. I really like how this image came out after the editing and really can't see anything that I could change about it.

Aidan P- Pretty Flower

 

I took this image at school and just like another image I posted I put it in black and white to bring out more detail. The flower was white and I didn’t really think it looked good with the dark green leaves. I like the lighting in it but there are a few spots with the leaves that are a little bit too blurry. I think the flower looks pretty much perfect with the position and lighting, but I do admit that there should be a few more things in the background to make it look better or maybe not. That’s just what I think. It was pretty well done and I’m happy with it.

Mary Mason P- The Best Night Ever

This  was taken at the BJCC on January the 29 , 2022. It was taken with an iPhone 12. I just cropped it a little bit. I took this photo at the Riley Green concert. Me and some friends went. And it really was the Best Night Ever. The song we did the flashlight on our phones to was I Wish Grandpas Never Died. It was the best concert!!

Isaiah M- My Bike

 The image was taken with my phone. I add a filter that I thought was cool so adjusted it to make it look better. It could be better if was a brighter day. It is one of my favorite images I have taken so far for any project I like the way the bike was posed 

Raven L- Tiny Thief

This image is called Tiny Thief. I chose it because I find it funny. It was a composite portrait that we did for a project. I had to edit out a bat and soften the outline of him. I could have made the images blend better but I like the non-realistic aspect. I look the background with my phone at publix and and the picture of Will was taken in our basement with my Canon EOS REBEL T2i

Gabby W - Rose

 The title of this photograph is Rose. I took this photo in my kitchen sometime around September of last year. I shot this time with my Nikon 3100 DSLR. I added some vibrancy to the rose itself and darken the background a bit to take the rose to stand out. It would have been better if I had used several roses instead of one to add some interest to the photo.

Adam T- Shooting

The title of the image is called “Shooting” and it was taken a week prior toward the action assignment in the practice gym at school. It was taken with my iPhone 10 XR and I edited it by adding a black and white filter and increasing the definition in some areas. It could have been better if I used a better camera and a better shot in general so the main focus of the photo would stand out more and look better in quality.

Caeden H- Tired Tortoiseshell

The title of this image is “Tired Tortoiseshell”. The title is pretty self explanatory, my cat is a tortoiseshell and she was taking a nap. This image was taken in my house on January 16th, 2022. This photo was taken with my Iphone 12 pro. I edited this photo by increasing the exposure, color, and saturation. I also cropped this photo so that she would fill the frame more. I think it would have been better if I had taken it in natural lighting instead of with the flash on my phone. 

Tyrick H - Late Night Drive

 This is a Photo of me driving at night close to my house. I was actually on the way to the gym and I thought it would have been a cool picture to take even though it was very risky. I took this picture with my iPhone 11 Pro. I think it is a really cool picture and kinda gives off a chill vibe. I could have maybe edited this picture a little more than it was. 

Marshall H -- Madoka Goes to Walmart

 This photograph is called “Madoka goes to Walmart.” I took this picture for the “Action” assignment. Me and my friends went to various places as I photographed them in cosplay-- this one happened to be in the sports section in Walmart. I took this on my iPhone 13 and I blurred that background some. This picture has quickly become a favorite. I really wish the background was different, but in a gross way, I guess it adds to it. 

Ani W- Bella In The Backyard

 I’ve titled this image Bella In The Backyard because the photo was taken in my backyard over the weekend around 5 PM. I took this picture using my Canon EOS Rebel T7 camera. I first edited the photo by removing some of the leaves that were in the way and fixed the brightness, exposure, and contrast of the image. I could’ve cropped the image a bit more and used a vintage filter on it, but I honestly like the way it turned out.

Sydney R - Chester

 The title of my image is, “Chester.” It was taken near the beginning of the school year for the About Me assignment. It was taken in my living room with my Nikon D3500. Editing wise, I didn't do much. I just made the blacks/shadows darker, and the brightness lighter in order to create contrast. I actually like the way the picture is!
