Marshall H.- Happy Dog
I took this picture at my house on November 13th 2017. I took it on an iPhone 7 plus. To edit it I darkened the image and added a vignette. The picture could be better if I had a pro editor edit it.
Gracie C - Fall Vibes
The title of the image is “Fall Vibes”. It was taken on top of Mt. Cheaha on September 16th, when my friends and I went on a rappelling trip. The picture is of our friend Graham sitting on a ledge, waiting for us so start so he could take pictures of us going down. It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T5. I edited it by using the Nik Collection Plug-in, Color Efex Pro. I just applied the filter “Indian Summer” to the picture, and it turned all the leaves orange. This picture could be better if I had brightened it a little bit and cropped it.
Brady S- The Tilting Sunset
The tilted sunset was taken in my hometown by the lake, it was taken around 4:50PM on my iPhone 5s. The vibrance, contrast, and brightness have all been slightly raised with the shadows / exposure lowered. If I had gotten out of the car the photo would be better but honestly I’m happy with how this turned out
BetsyB- Caves
The title of this image is Cave. I took this picture on November 12, 2017 at DeSoto Caverns. It was taken with my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy. I edited the image by increasing the image and the contrast. It could be better if I had cropped the image a little.
Justin M-Seaside
My picutre is called seaside because that is where I took the photo. I took it about 5 months ago while I was in Florida with a really close friend of mine. I took it with my mom’s Nikon camera. I edited it by washing out all the light and putting a filter with and tweaking the overall sharpness. It could be better by maybe taking the filter away and leaving it original.

Michelle A- California Beach
This picture was taken at a beach in California on spring break 2017. I took it with my iPhone 6s. I edited this picture but lowering the brightness to show off the sun more then increased the contrast where you can barely see the sand. It’s better because it like sets a mood. Like, chilly vibes kind of way.
Josef H - Hills
I took my picture “Hills” while on vacation at the St. Kitts Islands. I used my Canon EOS Rebel T6, and I tilted and cropped the picture to make it more geometrically aesthetic. Making the image better could involve blurring the clouds in the background, as they are not the focus of the image. I like the colors and sharpness the way it is, but I would be okay with changing the sky a bit.
Cami M- Red Blanket
This picture was taking in California back in April we are sight seeing and we found this park were you could just lay out blankets and chill out. This picture was taking with my iPhone 6s, in this picture I turn the saturation up on all of the red in the image then I put the picture in black and white. Then highlighted all of the all the red in the picture.
Ashley M - $avvy
I titled this picture $avvy. It was taken at the top of the mall. I added more color ad contrast to it. I think it would be better if I blured it out a bit so it would focus on her more.
Anna Kate L- Beach View
The title of this image is “Beach View”. It was taken in Panama City Beach, Florida on November 12th. It was taken with a Nikon D3400 DSLR. I turned up the brilliance and lightened the photo. I also gave the mage more exposure so the sky was very visible. This image could be better if the ocean didn’t look slanted. I love this picture because the beach is one of my favorite places to go. I would love to frame this photo.
Emily R- Morning Flower
The title of this photo is simply morning flowers. This was taken about a month ago. I Took this with my iPhone 7+ with portrait mode. I bumped up the color and saturation. I made it a little darker and a little more defined. I wish that there was a little more happening in this picture, but overall I like this picture!
Dalton C. - Road Less Traveled
The title of my image is called The Road Less Travelled. I took this picture in Ross Bridge, me and my friend were walking down the trail and went past where people usually stop so I decided to stop and take a picture. I took this picture with my phone because I did not have my camera with me. I increased the shadows and shifted the black point down. I also made the greens brighter to bring out the leaves in the image. I feel like the picture would be better if I could have taken it with my camera.
Fahima M- A Mosque's Beauty
This photo was taken in Atlanta, Georgia on August 19, 2017 . I captured this picture with my iPhone 7 and I also edited it with the Photos editing. I enhanced the photo, adjusted the brightness, and re-touched a few places, then made the photo sharper. It could be better if I did not take it in a hurry, and took the time to choose a better angle or view. This image is a picture of the outside balcony or entrance of the mosque from the mosques stairs leading up to the doors to go inside. I found this mosque so beautiful and relaxing. The waterfall and the Islamic geometric design of the mosque was done so beautifully it all fell into place. This is my one of my favorite mosque’s, I fell in love when I saw the mosque in the car as we drove close to it.

Madeline T. - AK
I decided to title this picture AK. I took it at Panama City Beach a few weeks ago, on a trip with my youth group. It was taken with a Nikon DSLR camera. I edited this to reduce the highlights and enhance the contrast in order to make Anna Kate stand out from the water. The one thing I would change about this picture is the placement of Anna Kate in comparison to the water.
Christian P - A Card from Nature
This picture is called “A Card from Nature” it was taken in my backyard when I accidentally dropped a card while taking pictures for the pick a color assignment. It was taken with my Nikon D3300 and I edited it by desaturating the background to make it black and white and adding some saturation and contrast to make the card stand out more. I think it could be better if the card followed the rule of thirds better and if there was less blue color bleeding into the white parts of the card.
Alex H - Fall
This picture is of the changing leaves on a Ginkgo tree. I took this picture on November 9th. I edited this by turning up the brilliance and black point and the contrast. This picture could be better if the colors were brigh
Carter S - Sunny Trees
This photo is called “Sunny Trees”. It is called Sunny Trees well because in the picture there are sunny trees. The photo was taken Houston, Texas. November 22nd, 2017. It was taken with my iPhone 5 and I edited the sharpness and brightness. It could be a better photo maybe if I changed my angle, got closer to a specific tree, or took the photo at another time. The photo was taken when I was walking dogs with my friend who lives in Houston. I saw the scenery and thought it would be a good picture to take so I took a picture.

Josie L- Looking for a Way
“Looking for a Way” is the title of this picture. It was taken on a hiking trail in Signal Mountain, Tennesee. I took it while I was on a trip with my youth group on November 10th through 12th. I edited it slightly with the photo editing with apple photos, making the light saturation a bit brighter. I think it would be better if I could find a way to make the yellow on the sign brighter.
Amari M - Hall of Emotions
This picture was taken in a tunnel filled with different color lights. This was taken soon October 6, 10 days before my birthday it was late at night and my dad told me I should take pictures so we did. I used iPhone 6s to take this photo and I used the Apple computer to edited. I honestly don’t think it could be better than this it looks perfect to me. This actually one of my favorite.
Presley G- Fall
I titled this picture “Fall”. I took this picture about a 2 weeks ago in the court yard of my school. I took this image on a Canon EOS Rebel T6. I edited it by adding color to it to make the contrast pop out. I also made the leave darker and the background lighter. It could be better by shooting from a higher aperture so more would be in focus.
Hayden H- Hot Coco
This photo is called Hot Coco because it is a picture of a glass of hot chocolate. I took this with my Nikon D7100 with my 50mm lens. I basically bumped up the brightness and sharpened up the image. This was taken at my house on my desk.
Jasmine W- Purple Waterfall
This picture is called “Purple Waterfall”. It was taken in Gatlinburg, TN on November 25, 2017. It was taken with my iPhone 6s. I used the spatter filter and made the color a blue and purple hue. It could be better if the purple wasn’t so vibrant.
Annalisa P- Vinilla Cane
The title of my image is Vanilla Cane, It was taken on Thanksgiving at the Thanksgiving buffet Ross Bridge was hosting at the resort. It was taken with a Canon T6 and edited with Photoshop. This could be better if I could have focused more on the milkshake and blur out the back.
Brianna H - Smooth E
The title of this photo is called Smooth E because when I met Elijah (the person pictured), he introduced himself by saying “they call me Smooth E. Not really, but I wish they would.” The photo was taken at Skates 280, where Elijah is considered a regular, about two weeks ago. It was taken with a Canon EOS REBEL T2i. I believe it could be better if I had used a different background or had him pose a certain way.
Brandon M- Downtown
My,picture was taken with an iphone 7 on November ,14,2017. I went downtown in Birmingham to shoot up some nice pictures and I couldn’t decide where to go so I wondered around and went through the light bridge and then I saw a big building with a nice view and took this amazing picture. I could make it better by taking the brightness down a little.
Will C.-Bay St
The title of this image is Bay St. and I took this in Beaufort, South Carolina during Thanksgiving break. I took the with my canon rebel and to edit it, I made the plants a more vibrant colored and darkened the sky a little bit. This image is one of my favorites I’ve taken since starting this class and it always takes me back to one of my favorite places, with my family

Olivia N- Evening
The title of the image is called Evening. The photo was taken in Hoover,Al on November 14,2017.It was taken with an iPhone 7.I edited the image by using the Transfer filter, adding more light and exposure to it.Also, by adding sharpening and complete definition, vignette border, and having half amount of noise reduction. It could be better by changing the angle and brightness of the picture.
Charis H- Winter Bloom
This is “winter bloom” It was taken at my friends house in her yard. I toned down the vibrance and gave it a little bit of a blue hue. I think the angle at which I took the picture could have been better.
Abby W- Clouds
This photo was taken at Vulcan in Birmingham, AL. To edit It I increased the vibrance, saturation, and contrast. I then add a slight amount of noise and turned down the brightness to bring out the slight shadows within the clouds. I think it could be better if it cropped in a little more to make the three forefront clouds more balanced.
Ali M- Flower
I took this picture in Lake Crest. It was took on November 19, 2017.The Time was 4:51 PM. The camera that I used is NIKON COOLPIX P500. I edit the light and also the color. This could be better If edit the cast.

Zach B - Donut and Coffee on a Fall Day
This photo was taken at Shipley’s Donuts on October 13. It was taken with an iPhone 7+ Camera. I edited the photo with the editor in the Photos app. I mostly used retouch to help get displaced hairs out of place in order to clean the image up. I think the image could have been better if there wasn’t so much glare in her (Ashley’s) eyes from the window looking at nearby traffic. This image was taken in a spontaneous moment since the love of Shipley’s arose with the topic of photography.
Yuliana Z.- Side Eye
The title of my image is Side Eye. This photo was taken at Birchall apartments on November 7th. I took the photo with my Samsung S8. I enhanced the darkness of my sisters hair and eyes, while also darkening the background, and enhancing her. Along with that I cropped the photo a little and rotated it to the left. If the second eye in the background could be just as edited as the main one, I would prefer it.
Carmine C- Sunset
I took this picture at my new house on the porch. I took this photo with my iPhone 6s Plus . I edited it with the transfer filter and some changes on the lighting. I could probably make it better with a better camera.
Caroline K- Stare
This photo is called “Stare.” I named it this because she had just looked at me when I had taken the picture. This picture was taken a few days before Halloween when me and my friends went to a pumpkin patch. I did not edit this picture but if I did, I would turn up the brightness and color. I would also make it focus on her just a little bit more. Other than that I’m pleased with how it turned out.
Kam W- Esther and Terio
The title of this photo is called Esther and Terio. I took this photo on a Thursday at home it was taken with a Lumix Panasonic. I edited it by increasing the definition, contrast, and the sharpness. It could be edited better by lowering the contrast.
