Calliope T - Oregon House

I named this photo Oregon House. It was taken in Oregon on July 1st 2024. It was taken with a canon digital camera. I edited this photo to make it look a little more foggy by blurring the background and the fog around the house. I think it could be better if the picture was a little bit more zoomed in or closer to the house.

Caroline S- Cross

The title of this image is Cross and it was taken at my grandparent’s house during the night. I took it on my phone and I edited it by sharpening it and I adjusted the lighting. It could be better if I had sharpened it less, because the background is grainy.

Javier O- Untitled

This was taken in the month of November and it was taken in the studio room in the Digital Photography class. It was taken with the camera inside the room. I edited it by dimming the light and using the burn tool to dodge out some distractions. It could be better if maybe certain things werent in the image but overall it is a good image in my opinion.

Reagan M - Makeup Close Up

The title of my image is “Makeup Close Up.” It was taken at night in my room with an iPhone 11. and shows my makeup on my vanity. I edited this photo by turning up the saturation and giving it more warm tones. It would be better if it were more focused.

Angel H- Apple on a Brick

My image is called “Apple on a Brick”. It was taken in my 2nd period photography class. It was taken on November 14, 2024 at 11:13:01 AM. The picture was taken with a camera. I sharpened my image to give it some more detail and made it a bit darker. It could have been better if I gave it a bit of brightness.

Jaxson L- Road to the Sun

I named this Road to the Sun. I took this in Bangor, Maine on June 14th. I took this photo with my iphone 14. I made the contrast higher and made it so it was more level. I could have made it so the sign was more to the left. I took this also three days before I moved from Maine.

Mary Alex R- My Star

I titled this image “My Star” and its a picture of my little glass Christmas tree. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago in my bedroom. I put it on my bed and used a tripod to get really close up. I manuel mode and spent a few minutes just trying to get it perfectly in focus. I was really careful when using sharpness not to overdo it and make it grainy, but I increased the sharpness of the colors of the star and I used dodge to bring light to the tree. I also slightly decreased the curves to make the background darker and cropped it so that the star could be in the center. It could have been better if there was a little bit more color in the background to make it pop more but overall I really like how it turned out! This is the best close up picture I’ve taken so far.

Victoria S- Abby

This picture is of my cat Abby. It was taken in my bedroom on November 3. I took this picture with my camera. I edited this photo in Photoshop and added one of the Nik 6 Color Efex filters over it. I think this picture could be better if my subject was more centered.

Sarah S - Eggy

This image is titled “Eggy”. I took it in Mr. Rigsby’s photo studio with my IPhone 14. I edited it with photoshop in this order: Saturation/color manipulation, Sharpening, Grain filter, Cutout filter, and then more grain. This specifically gives the eggs a printed look. I think this image turned out perfectly, and I wouldn’t change anything about it if I could. I named it Eggy because everytime I see anything relating to eggs, I blurt out “Eggy!”

Montana T- Strings

This photo is called “Strings”. I took this shot in my room by placing my guitar on the floor and taking the picture close to the strings. I edited this photo by upping the brightness but adding a bit of a dark vintage around the photo to make the center pop more. I also increased the vibrancy of this to make the wood look better. I do wish I could’ve got a better angle without my room being the background but, overall I liked how this picture came out and it’s one of my favorites.

Irais B-C - Duet

This picture was taken a few weeks ago in Mr. Rigsby’s studio. It was a little shoot I did with one of my friends. The photo was taken with my iPhone 14 on the regular camera setting. I edited the image by darkening the corners and sharpening the mouthpieces to make them stand out more. I also brought out the saturation to the places where the colored light was touching, to make the colors pop. I think the photo could have been better if it wasn't so blurry, but I like the overall photo.

Dani H- Thankful For The Sun

This picture was taken at my grandparent's house on Thanksgiving when me  and my brother
Went for a walk. This was taken on my phone around 6:00 I edited this by adjusting the light to make the orange pop out more. I also adjusted the color to make the lake stand out last but not least the warmth is at 60. I feel like I did good photo  there noting i cloud have done to make it better

Ashlyn G- Beauty in Pain

I named this image beauty in pain, I titled it Beauty in Pain because the moth had broken its wing and it was in pain but was still beautiful. I took this image out on the football field this summer while practicing. I took this image with my Iphone 14. I edited it by changing the background to look less messy and defined the moth's unique features. I could have removed more light from the sides of the image to make the moth the main object of the picture without any distractions.

Luke F- Lola

I took it at my house. It could be edited better and clearer but pretty good overall.

Liam D- Header

The title of the selected image is Header .Taken late November at a soccer field. Taken with my Canon  camera.  Applied the analog effect with as well as changing the colors. Could be better if my brother wasn't covered that much.

Chandler D- Beach Sunset

The title of my selected image is “The Beach Sunset”. This photo was taken in Panama City Florida, this year during Spring break. This photo was taken with my Iphone 14 camera. To edit this photo I enhanced the brightness of the sunset and lowered the exposure. This photograph could be better by sharpening areas in the photo to enhance.

Hayden C - Remember When?

The title of this photo is “remember when?” and is of some Littlest Pet Shop Toys on my floor. Specifically, all the cat LPS I own. It was taken on my Canon camera, and it was the same day I was taking photos for the still life assignment. I edited it by bringing down highlights and deepened shadows before trying to make everything warmer in tone to hopefully make it feel more “nostalgic.” This photo was taken more on impulse, so I wasn’t thinking too hard about the composition or anything like that. I wish I had because I feel as though everything feels a little awkward in how it’s placed. But I think it kind of helps the photo in giving that feeling of beloved childhood toys pushed aside as someone grows older and moves on in their life.

Kaitlyn W- Stay Sleeping

The title of my selected image is “Stay Sleeping.” I took this picture while doing laundry, and my dog wanted attention, but he had just gotten tired and was sleeping. Almost anytime I look his way, he is in his third dream, growling in his sleep. I edited this picture using the sharpness tool, although I think I could have cropped the couch out of the picture.

Marvin M- Sunset

The title of this image is  ‘Sunset’, and I called it that because that's what it is. I took this in a Target parking lot. I edited it to be more saturated so that it can highlight the color of the sky. I feel like I could turn down the saturation a little. But i feel like it's good.

Nicholas T- Exotic

I call this photograph “Exotic”. It was taken on November 15th, 2024 at the art exhibition we had. I took the opportunity to take multiple photos of the vases. As usual I used my DSC-W800 to capture the photos. I used a Nik Collection filter called “Color EFEX” to increase the contrast of the photo. I also removed a sticker on the vase that looked stupid. There is a bit too much noise in there for my liking.

Sadie S- My Cat

The title of this image is “My Cat”. It’s a picture of my cat Narcissa that was taken at my house over thanksgiving break. It was taken on my Iphone 16 Pro Max using the camera app. I used lightroom to edit it and made adjustments to the temp, saturation, highlights, and exposure. It would be better if the shadow in the back wasn’t so dark.

Joshua N- Aubie

This image is called Aubie, because it is the name of my dog. I took this photo with a Nikon D5100 in August on my side porch. I edited this mainly by adjusting the colors and making it warmer to make his fur more orange because that's what he actually looks like. I applied a warm filter, but didn’t really make any massive adjustments. I think it would look better if his eyes didn’t look lopsided and if I was a little farther back, but I like it just the same.

Nora M - Mountains

The title of the image is Mountains. This image was taken on June 19 2024 in the mountains of Yemen. This photo was taken with an Iphone 13 pro. I edited this image by increasing the vibrance and exposure, and decreasing the offset. This photo could be better if the plant in the front wasn’t so blurry.

Laura H- Alaska

The title of this photo is Alaska because that is where it was taken. I took this photo with my Canon Camera and Edited it with the silver efex tool in the NIK collection in Photoshop.

Caroline L - Fake Flower Analogue

This is “Fake Flower Analogue.” It was taken in my house on November 2nd. I took it with my NIKON camera. I edited it preliminarily in the Photos app, then used the Analogue Efex on the Photoshop extension to add the Analogue effect, the border, and the swirl. It could be better if the border was a little less distracting on the bottom. I really like how this turned out with the Analogue Efex, as it was one of my first tries using it.

Xenon S - Port Annapolis

The image is titled Port Annapolis. It was taken on November 12, 2024 in Annapolis, Maryland using an iPhone 15. I applied an iPhone filter, “Vivid Warm,” and decreased the exposure, brilliance, highlights, shadows, contrast, and brightness. I also increased the black point, warmth, sharpness, and definition, as well as cropped lots of water out of the bottom of the image. I really like the vintage vibe of the photo but I do wish I could have gotten more clarity and detail on the boats—they were just too far away.

Angel E- City

The title of the image is City. This photo was taken when I went to Nashville and my cousins and they took me and we went to a view where the water was on the bottom and there was a white bridge to our left of us, I don't remember the spot exactly but it was more in the city, The Photo was taken on my phone/ iphone 11. I edited the photo by using a camera raw filter and moving the blue shade, the texture and clarity of it.It Could be better if i had a higher angle when I took it.

Emily C- Dizzy

The name of my image is “Dizzy”. This image was taken in the summer when my family went on a beach vacation to florida. This image was taken on my canon camera. When editing this picture I used the Analog efex from the Nix collection in photoshop and I just played around with that editing tool. I could make this image better by making the girl(my sister) more in focus.

Daniel K - Railroad

The title of this image is “Railroad”. I took the picture with my phone during the summer on
some tracks that run close to my neighborhood. I edited it by increasing the brightness and
centering the tracks through cropping. I think the photo could have turned out better if I took it
slightly earlier, where there would be a little more light. This is because simply trying to brighten
the photo makes it lose a lot of quality because the scene was too dark for my phone camera to
pick up much detail. I suppose I could have taken it with my DSLR camera too and simply mess
around with the aperture/ISO/shutter speed, but I didn’t have a carry-on strap at the time.

Angel M- Untitled

This photo was taken in October with my Canon camera. I edited it by increasing the contrast because the colors were a bit dull in the original photo, and I also increased the shadows to make the colors stand out even more. The photo would have been better if i blurred the foreground instead of the background.

Ethan S - Clear Skies Overhead

This is Clear Skies Overhead. I took this picture in mid-August earlier this school year in the parking lot of Johnny Brusco’s Pizza. I took it with my Nikon D40 DSLR camera. I edited it with the Nik 6 Analog Efex filter, adding a nostalgic looking border; some scuffs, scratches, and smudges for an effect of age; as well as some chromatic aberration. I think it would’ve been better if it had been a full moon and/or if the moon was a little larger in the frame, but I still think it came out pretty well.

Lamon J- Summer Days

The title of this image is Summer Days for no other reason than it looks like a lazy summer day. I took the photo from my dad’s car with the original intent to capture an image of the bright moon. The analog NIK filter pretty much did the editing work on this image along with a few color adjustments on the camera raw filter. I probably would cut out the fourth section of the photo that just depicts the blue sky because it’s not very visually interesting. Other than that, I really like this image.

Mazzy C- Ornament

This photo is titled Ornament. It is a picture of a white ornament on my Christmas tree in my living room on November 13, 2024. I used my canon camera to take this photo. I edited this picture by making the lights brighter and making it more colorful by making it more saturated. This image could be better if I made the camera more focused so the whole ornament could be sharper.

Ellie B - The Trolly

The title of this image is “The Trolly”. It was taken in the San Francisco Trolly Museum on June 20, 2024. It was taken on my phone. I cropped the picture to place better focus on the subject and I put a filter on it to bring out the reds of it.

Lily D - Take a Stroll

This image is called “Take a Stroll”. It was taken at the zoo last May. It was taken with my iPhone 15 pro. I edited it by turning up the vibrance and contrast and using a light filter over it. It would be better if it was a bit brighter.
