Madilyn B- The Little Things

This image is called The Little Things. It was taken at Logan Martin Lake on January 2nd, 2021. This photo was taken with my iphone. I did very little editing to this photo. I adjusted the color a bit to darken the image but that’s really it. This photo could be cropped more and focused more on the rocks.

Sidney A- Squirrel

This is a picture of a Squirrel, it was taken at my apartment. I'm not sure the actual date but it was sometime last year. I’m not sure how it could be edited or what could make the image better but i'd be happy to hear someone else's opinion on it.

Raven L- Untitled

This photo doesn't have a title. It was taken last January with my Canon EOS Rebel t2i. I increased the contrast and blue tones in the sky. I wish more of it was in focus and that the horizon couldnt be seen.

Caeden H- Blue Skies

The title of this image is “Blue Skies”. I took this image November 26th, 2021 while we were driving over the bridge going to the beach. I took this photo with my Iphone 11 pro. To edit this picture I decreased the exposure slightly, increased the contrast and hue, and cropped it so the water would fill more of the picture. I think this image could be better if the railing was not there pulling focus from the water and sun.

Tyrick H - Pear Tree

The name of this picture is the pear tree. This tree is located in the front lawn of my house. I noticed this tree a couple of months after I moved into my house. I took this picture for my night and day assignment around late September. I took this picture with My iphone which is an iPhone 11 pro. I edited this image by taking out the solar light that actually shines on the tree and I also added some softness around the edges and dodge tool to make the subject pop out more. I think the picture could have been better by having more of a close up shot of the tree.

Marshall H - Dirt

The name of this image is “Dirt” I really have no reason for that to be the name, it just seemed fitting. This was taken on November 28, 2021-- I was driving around Montevallo and the sunset was just breathtaking. “Dirt” was taken with my iPhone 13, I didn’t do much to edit it. I honestly wish the dirt mounds couldn’t be seen, but I think they kinda add a certain charm.

Ayla S- New Years Eve

This image is titled “New Year’s Eve.” I took this photograph at my friend’s house on New Year’s Eve. This photo was taken with my EOS Canon Rebel T6. I cropped the door frame off the sides of the photos so that the photo was more clean and focused on Abby’s face. I think if this photo was a little less pixelated it could be a little better than it is.

Caroline M- Light in the Dark

This picture is called “Light in the Dark”. It was taken December 26,2021 on our way to Tennessee. I took it with my IPhone 8 plus in the back of my car. I decided that with the bright orange color to darken the picture and brighten the car lights a little. I wish I could have made the glare of the car lights go down but I couldn’t find a very good way to do it. I also tried to brighten the tail lights of the cars going the other way but it didn’t turn out like I wanted.

Alpha S- Big Dog

The name of this photo is big dog. This photo is of me in the car about to go to a basketball game.

Santo F- Driving the Free Way

I took this picture on I-65 south. I took it  2 months ago  I took it with my phone  I edited it a little bit with my phone. If I had changed the color I think the picture would have looked better.

Betsey S- Golf Course

This image is titled Golf Course because it is quite literally a picture of a golf course. It was taken at a course near my beach house like me and my uncle played over christmas break. This photo was taken with my phone because while playing golf I couldn't carry a camera around with me. To edit this picture I cropped it in a lot to try and make it fit into the rule of thirds category. I also bright out the saturation, highlights, shadows, and exposure. I feel like if I would have had a better camera on hand the quality would have turned out better.

Adam T- Bham

The title of the image is called “Bham. It was taken on top of the Vulcan Statue during Christmas near downtown Birmingham. It was taken with my IPhone because I’m not taking a $500 camera all the way up there for some pictures. I just dropped some of the sky out and applied a black and white filter to the photo. Overall, I feel like if it was more focused and clear, the picture would be ten times better.

Maddie T- Pontiac

This photo is titled “Pontiac”. It was taken at the “Miles through time” museum and antique mall in Clarkesville, north Georgia. It is of a vintage pontiac sign, on the wall in a more muted way you can see more vintage signs. I fell in love with the environment and scenery of North Georgia and though I am not a fan of cars and all of that stuff I really do enjoy the way this picture and the bright lights shine through the surrounding areas. It was taken on my canon T-100 and edited in Adobe Lightroom on my phone. I turned the contrast up and edited selected colors such as blue and red to bring them out.

Gabby W- Cosmic Corner

I took this photo the day before my birthday when I was in Nashville celebrating with my friends. We were walking down the street after we had eaten dinner and I thought it would look cool, so I took a photo. When I was editing I toned down the exposure, brightness, and saturation. It gives the photo this gloomy look that I find really cool. I do wish that I could’ve gotten a more clear shot of it, since I took the picture pretty quickly it is a bit blurry. I also may take a picture closer up.

Isaiah M- Beach Day

The image name is Beach Day. The image was taken at Miramar beach and it was taken Sep 3, 2021, it was taken with my phone I turned the brightness up it could also be less burled

Aidan P- Flower Print

I named this picture “Flower Print” mostly because Mr Rigsby printed it out and so I just named it that. This image was taken at my Aunt and Uncle’s house of a real flower and as you can see the pine straw and other things from the fall decorations helped. I made it black and white because there already wasn’t a lot of color and making it black and white brought out a lot of detail. I did the black and white filter and picture taking with my phone and a little more editing on the computer but not much. I really like it and think it’s pretty well done.

Trevor P- State Capital

This image was taken January 1st 2022 in Montgomery at our state capital. This image shows the front door entering the capitol building. I took this with my Iphone 13 pro with the 0.5x lens. After taking the shot I edited it by bringing out the color in the wood to make it brighter and richer. On top of that I cropped a bit of the extra space that way the main focus in the shot is the door and I used the dodge and sponge tool to make the stain glass pop. Finally I changed the perspective of the image and made it appear more level with the actual height of the door. I really liked how this image came out overall.

Alexia T - You've got the Window

This photo was taken January 3, 2021 on my iPhone 7and it has never been edited. The title derived from a conversation with my coworker Anna.  My main manager that day listed the position of my coworkers (excluding Anna) but only pointed towards the back in reference to my work station for the day. At first this confused me but I became relieved when I realized no one was in the window which meant I'd be working alone or running the register. These were my thoughts until Anna popped out of the break room saying, “Aht,aht. You’ve got the window baby.” The picture could be better if the clock-in area was not in the background.

Amelia R- Little Doggy

The name of this picture is “Little Doggy” featuring my dog, Sophie. I saw her laid out on the driveway and laid down next to her and I thought it would make for a good picture. I took this photo in my backyard with my Nikon D5000 camera. For editing I cropped some of the bottom concrete out, and I tried to edit the lighting but I realized I preferred the original. I think it could’ve been better if I had laid the camera parallel to the driveway.

Joseph R- Minions

This photo is called Minions. It was taken on New Year’s Eve in Ebenezer Swamp in Calera. I increased the brightness on the foreground and decreased it in the background. I also adjusted the hue and saturation of the background to make it redder and more vivid. The foreground is a little too dark and the entire photo is somewhat harsh on the eyes, but overall I like it. My friend, the subject, is a little bit too obsessed with Minions. She needs help

Nora G- Perspective

The name of this image is just Perspective. It was taken at a park After school one day. It was taken with my camera and it was edited by changing the lighting and the saturation. I really like this image because I like the way the trees look so much bigger than the person on the ground. It could be better in many ways. If there was something that was more of the main focus it could make it better. I just like this one because I think it is cool to look at the difference in size.

Connor G- Rainbow

This picture is called Rainbow, for obvious reasons. As far as editing it, I really didn’t. I think it is a simple photo that I took three years ago and it doesn’t require anything special. It could have been way better. I could have taken time to really center the rainbow, taken different shots from different angles, things like that. But, I didn’t.

Ani W- Playdate Doggos

I took this picture on December 22, 2021 at 4:08 pm. I took it outside in my backyard with my iPhone 12 mini. It is a picture of my dog Bella (right), and my next door neighbor's dog, Lola (left). I titled the image Playdate Doggos because they are two cute little dogs having fun together. I edited this picture by lowering the saturation, sharpening the image, and put a vintage filter on it. I could have gotten a better angle of the two, but they were running so fast and having fun, I didn’t want to ruin the moment.

Sydney R - Bella

The name of this picture is “Bella”. It was taken about 2 years ago for photography class. The camera that I used was my Nikon D3500. To edit, I wanted to make the photo dramatic so I increased the shadows, contrast, and saturation. I like the photo the way that it is!

Liv R - Clover

This photo is named after my cat, Clover. I took this on my front porch mid August with my Nikon D3300. I edited this photo by increasing the saturation and making the reds pop. I think this photo could have been better if I had centered the chair better in the frame and against the wall. I also wish I could’ve gotten more of her tail into the photo, but I’m afraid if I touched my model she might have left, haha!

Britney P - Morning Crow

This photo is called “Morning Crow.” I took this photo on October 19 of this year on my way to the school bus. I was lucky to be able to take this picture because it flew away right afterward. I wish this photo was sharper and more vibrant, but I am just happy to be able to capture the crow at the moment.

A'Kelsa N- Hoover Belles

.

I took this around December 3rd in the Bluff Park neighborhood with aCanon t7. I added blur and made it lighter. It could be better is it was not out of focus sorta.

Mia N- Snow

I took this a few days ago on a road close to my house. This picture was taken with my phone and I edited it by adding contrast to the picture. I think this picture would be better if I had taken it with my camera so he quality of the picture was better.

Tyler G- Mushroom

This image is called Mushroom. It was taken about a year ago in my friends backyard. I took this photo with my iPhone and I edited it with photoshop. I think this photo could’ve been better if I got multiple shots with different angles and perspectives.

Jonathan F - Sundown

The title of this image is called sundown. It was taken on December 27, 2021 in some soccer fields in Huetamo, Mexico. The picture was taken with my Iphone. I haven't edited this picture yet so this is how it looks right now. I think this picture could have been taken better by taking it closer and trying to get more of the sun going down. I could have also cropped it so there was just the sunset and not the other things around it.

Martha Claire D- Up On The Bluff

The title of this image is “Up On The Bluff”. It was taken on Shades Crest in the car during mid-November. It was taken with my IPhone 11, because it’s what I had. I edited this photo by increasing the saturation, exposure, and color contrast. Then I used a Color Efex Pro filter in order to create the cozy, vintage feel of the photograph. I wish that the photo was a bit sharper and I wish the sky was more blended. It’ll probably end up as my phone wallpaper at some point.

Brooke J - Night Reading

The title of this image is Night Reading. I took this picture in my parent’s room around nighttime. I took this with my  Canon EOS digital Rebel XS. I made this image have a more pink tone and I darkened it as well. I think I could have arranged the items differently or had a different focus point.

Sam M - Pizza Hut

This is the first picture I took with my new phone. I took this in a moving car at night and was amazed by the quality of it. I know this picture isn’t the best but I still like it. This Pizza Hut is right by my house and it just recently turned its lights back on after a year of being closed.

Yori D- The Road

The name of my photo is called The Road. I took this photo while I was on a college tour at Alabama A&M and it was taken with my iPhone. I edited my photo by darkening it then bringing down the contrast just a little bit, nothing too extra. I feel like my photo could be better if it was a little bit more color and different types of filters.

Jackson C- Offroad

The title of this image is “Offroad”. This was taken in Lake Cyrus behind a new neighborhood on a trail. This photo was taken with my iPhone. I edited this photo by increasing the saturation and lowering the brightness and increasing the contrast to make the photo a nice shade to show off the colors of both Jeeps. This photo could be better if I had taken it with a DSLR camera to increase quality.
