Lamon J- Glorious Light

This image is titled “Glorious Light” and it was taken at my grandparent’s church while I was sitting in a pew and noticed a striking piece of stained glass art. Because I wasn’t planning to take any photos originally, I didn’t have my camera on hand and took the original image on my phone. I really wanted to emphasize the yellow light coming through the window so I darkened the shadows on the surrounding area and made some of the lights in the background have a blue-ish hue. I really like how this image turned out and I don’t really regret any of my edits in creating the finalized version.

I like how the light is coming through all the panes differently, and how some of the colors look very neon. I think that if the overall picture was a little brighter it would be better, but overall a very good picture. JN- HHS

Great picture! I love how the light from the outside is coming in and giving off a ray of light. The only thing I would change is the angle of which the picture was taken. I think it would look better croped or closer to the subject.

I love this photo!! I think the exposure and brightness are balanced really well. The focus is really good as well. I think if you cropped it a little more in on the window it would have the same effect in the dark room, but some of the distracting parts of the background would be eliminated. The story here is very interesting, like a heavenly light is coming through the window into a world of darkness. I really like this photo!! Keep up the good work!
