Derek T - Fall Leaves

I took the picture, “Fall Leaves”, on March 8, 2014 at Moss Rock Preserve. I took it with my own Nikon D3100 with the kit lens set on 42mm. I edited it in iPhoto by boosting the saturation to make the orange pop and slightly sharpening it to make the leaf veins more detailed. It was slightly off center so I straightened it. I guess you could edit the little burnt spots to fix the imperfections.

I love how the leaves are the main focus in the picture and the background is blurred out. I love the orangey red colors in the photo. They remind me of Autumn. The light in the back makes the leaves have shadows on it which I love.

I really like how the focus on this picture is mainly the leaves and the background is blurred. I also like how the leave is in the right third to let the leaves develop into the picture. The mood I see in this picture is relaxed and serene. Fall is a relaxing time and when I see leaves, that is what I think of.

A few reasons that I love this photo is that it symbolzes fall. The bokeh in the background is amazing and really complements your lens!

I really love the way this photo looks! I like how the background is out of focus so you're just focused on the leaves in the front. I also love the colors in this picture! Good job!

I really like this picture. I like how the background is out of focus, and the two leaves in front are focused. I like how the orange color pops out. Overall i really like this photo.
