Caroline L - Fake Flower Analogue

This is “Fake Flower Analogue.” It was taken in my house on November 2nd. I took it with my NIKON camera. I edited it preliminarily in the Photos app, then used the Analogue Efex on the Photoshop extension to add the Analogue effect, the border, and the swirl. It could be better if the border was a little less distracting on the bottom. I really like how this turned out with the Analogue Efex, as it was one of my first tries using it.

Xenon S - Port Annapolis

The image is titled Port Annapolis. It was taken on November 12, 2024 in Annapolis, Maryland using an iPhone 15. I applied an iPhone filter, “Vivid Warm,” and decreased the exposure, brilliance, highlights, shadows, contrast, and brightness. I also increased the black point, warmth, sharpness, and definition, as well as cropped lots of water out of the bottom of the image. I really like the vintage vibe of the photo but I do wish I could have gotten more clarity and detail on the boats—they were just too far away.

Angel E- City

The title of the image is City. This photo was taken when I went to Nashville and my cousins and they took me and we went to a view where the water was on the bottom and there was a white bridge to our left of us, I don't remember the spot exactly but it was more in the city, The Photo was taken on my phone/ iphone 11. I edited the photo by using a camera raw filter and moving the blue shade, the texture and clarity of it.It Could be better if i had a higher angle when I took it.

Emily C- Dizzy

The name of my image is “Dizzy”. This image was taken in the summer when my family went on a beach vacation to florida. This image was taken on my canon camera. When editing this picture I used the Analog efex from the Nix collection in photoshop and I just played around with that editing tool. I could make this image better by making the girl(my sister) more in focus.

Daniel K - Railroad

The title of this image is “Railroad”. I took the picture with my phone during the summer on
some tracks that run close to my neighborhood. I edited it by increasing the brightness and
centering the tracks through cropping. I think the photo could have turned out better if I took it
slightly earlier, where there would be a little more light. This is because simply trying to brighten
the photo makes it lose a lot of quality because the scene was too dark for my phone camera to
pick up much detail. I suppose I could have taken it with my DSLR camera too and simply mess
around with the aperture/ISO/shutter speed, but I didn’t have a carry-on strap at the time.

Angel M- Untitled

This photo was taken in October with my Canon camera. I edited it by increasing the contrast because the colors were a bit dull in the original photo, and I also increased the shadows to make the colors stand out even more. The photo would have been better if i blurred the foreground instead of the background.

Ethan S - Clear Skies Overhead

This is Clear Skies Overhead. I took this picture in mid-August earlier this school year in the parking lot of Johnny Brusco’s Pizza. I took it with my Nikon D40 DSLR camera. I edited it with the Nik 6 Analog Efex filter, adding a nostalgic looking border; some scuffs, scratches, and smudges for an effect of age; as well as some chromatic aberration. I think it would’ve been better if it had been a full moon and/or if the moon was a little larger in the frame, but I still think it came out pretty well.

Lamon J- Summer Days

The title of this image is Summer Days for no other reason than it looks like a lazy summer day. I took the photo from my dad’s car with the original intent to capture an image of the bright moon. The analog NIK filter pretty much did the editing work on this image along with a few color adjustments on the camera raw filter. I probably would cut out the fourth section of the photo that just depicts the blue sky because it’s not very visually interesting. Other than that, I really like this image.

Mazzy C- Ornament

This photo is titled Ornament. It is a picture of a white ornament on my Christmas tree in my living room on November 13, 2024. I used my canon camera to take this photo. I edited this picture by making the lights brighter and making it more colorful by making it more saturated. This image could be better if I made the camera more focused so the whole ornament could be sharper.

Ellie B - The Trolly

The title of this image is “The Trolly”. It was taken in the San Francisco Trolly Museum on June 20, 2024. It was taken on my phone. I cropped the picture to place better focus on the subject and I put a filter on it to bring out the reds of it.

Lily D - Take a Stroll

This image is called “Take a Stroll”. It was taken at the zoo last May. It was taken with my iPhone 15 pro. I edited it by turning up the vibrance and contrast and using a light filter over it. It would be better if it was a bit brighter.

Branning C-Vroom Vroom

This Picture is titled Vroom Vroom and it was taken at Lovers Leap in Bluff Park. The image was taken with a Canon Eos Rebel. To edit the image I brought down brightness but increased brilliance and the color blue to get it to show out more. It could be better if I edited longer and spent more time with the sunlight.

Brayden H- St Peters Church

The title of this image is St Peter’s Church. This picture was taken on November 22 at 7:23 p.m. in New York City, Rockefeller Center, and is a picture of St Peter’s Catholic Church. I took this picture with my iPhone 13 and used Photoshop to darken the image and increase the clarity.

Rihanna C- The Beautiful SunRest

I really love this picture. It's the best I've ever taken, in my opinion I took this picture on a Nature Walk I had with my classmates and teacher also we usually take these walks every 2 weeks just to explore see nature things we can catch . I took this picture with my iphone 14 during my Nature Walk like 5 weeks ago , I edited this photo in Adore Photoshop In Nike HDR Efex Filter I don't really remember how I  edited it lol I just know i edited it very well to bring the sun out more I feel like this picture couldn't get no better then this I love editing my photos wit new filters trying to see how to make things better , removing some things and just exploring and learning as I go .

River B- The Beach

The title of this image is “The Beach”. It was taken at the beach during last summer. It was taken with my phone camera. I edited it by changing the saturation and hue a little bit. I think it could be better if the people on the far left were cropped out.

Maddie B- HDR Efex

The title of this image is “HDR Efex” because I edited it for the Nik Collection assignment. I took the picture back in September with my Iphone. I was in the parking lot outside my dance studio, and I saw these geese flying in a V-formation. I edited it by applying the HDR efex filter in photoshop. It might be better if there were less power lines in the picture.

Anna G- The Star Gazer.

This title is this image is “The Star Gazer”. This photo was taken in my backyard at night a few weeks ago with my Nikon D5100 camera. I edited this photo by increasing the brightness and especially increasing the brightness of the stars and then using the Analog Efex to make the stars look like shooting stars. I think this photo could be better if my house was not in the frame.

Amaya T- Vintage

The title of my image is “Vintage”. It was taken on November 16,2024 at Renaissance Ross Bridge/ Clubhouse Terrace.I took the picture with my Iphone 15 pulse and I edited it by putting the  Analog Efex form the Nik Collection on it

Chloe C- Routine

The title of my selected image is ‘Routine’. It is simply a lone shirt hanging on a bar with a window in the background. I took this image in South Carolina at an Airbnb we were staying at for my cousin's birthday. I didn’t have my real camera with me, so it was taken on my IPhone. I darkened the inside of the room and tried to make the outside a bit lighter, trying to give a clinical feel inside the closet. I do really like this image, though I wish the outside landscape was a bit clearer to see. It feels very blurred.

Finley B - Benson Boone

The title of this image is “Benson Boone.” This was taken at the The Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville about two months ago. The photo was taken with my iphone 14 pro. I edit the image to be very vibrant and warm. As well as with lots of contrast and darkness to concentrate on the stage lights. The image could be better if I had taken it from a different angle or edit it differently.

Milo B - Staircase to Heaven

The picture is called Stairway to Heaven. It was taken November 20th, at Auburn University. It was taken with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I turned down the brightness as my edit. It could be better if there was better lighting, so that way I wouldn’t have to turn down the brightness so much.

Victoria S- Pulchritudinous Paradise

My picture is titled “Pulchritudinous Paradise.” I took this picture when I visited the Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina with my family. I took this picture on my iPhone. I edited it in Photoshop by increasing the brightness and adding filters. I think I could make it better by decreasing the luminance because the glow on the leaves makes the whole photo a bit overexposed. Other than that, I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Xenon S - Sunset Branch

The title of this image is Sunset Branch. This was taken on September 25, 2024, at 6:37pm. The image was taken with a Canon EOS R100. When editing, I increased the saturation of reds and oranges, as well as shifted the yellow hues slightly to orange. I blurred any details that brought attention away from the main branch that the camera focused on and sharpened that central branch. I also cropped the photo so that the end of the branch sits directly in the center of the image. I think this image could be better if it had a more interesting subject and if I had brought in some artificial lighting to bring out the details of the branch.

Mary Alex R- Wildflower

This picture is of a “Wildflower” I found at the beach on Columbus Day weekend. I took it with my Nikon camera. To edit this picture I increased the curves, used dodge to brighten up the actual sunflower, and added vignette around the edge of the image to really focus on the petals and center of the flower. I also sharpened up the edges of the leaves. It could’ve been better if there was a more aesthetic background, but I really like this picture.

Kaleb P- A Christmas Evening

This photo is called “A Christmas Evening”. I took this photo on November 24, 2023, this photo was taken with an iPhone 13. I didn't edit it at all, I could’ve edited it better by getting rid of the photos in the background and getting rid of the carpet.

Markus M- Una candela accesa per l'assassino

In this Giallo-inspired piece, I lit a candle, darkened the room, and put on my black gloves. I used my mom’s tripod to take the picture.  I’ve always wanted to take a photo or make a drawing inspired by Giallo films. For those who don’t know, Giallo films are violent, erotic, Italian mystery and thriller films that were made from 1963 to the present day. These films mainly consist of a whodunit storyline, an unseen killer wearing black gloves, fedora, and trenchcoat, a sharp object used as the main murder weapon of the film, a high, bloody kill count, and some VERY serious subject matter. Giallo films were mainly inspired by Il Giallo Mondadori, West German Edgar Wallace and Bryan Edgar Wallace Krimi's mystery and thriller films(1959-1972), and Arne Mattsson's Hillman mystery thriller series (1958-1963).

Angel E- Spooky Scarecrow

The title of the image is called Spooky Scarecrow. It was taken Thursday morning at school. My classmate dressed up to school as a scarecrow and we went outside for an assignment in class and he started to pose and we all took photos.i moved around the temperature, tint, saturation, texture, dehaze and made it a little more orange but light orange to match the fall season. I think it would of been better if it was darker and had a scary dark tone.

Daniel K - Catmorial

I titled this image “Catmorial” because it’s a statue of a retired F-14 Tomcat, situated right
outside the National Museum of Naval Aviation. I took the photo with my Samsung Galaxy Note
9 on labor day as we were exiting the museum. I edited it by removing some people who were
standing in the shot as well as by adding some overall filters to make the photo look old and
grainy. I think the photo could have been better if I took it from a different perspective because
then the statues of soldiers surrounding the F-14 would be in a more uniform alignment with it.
However, any other angle would have a big flag pole in the way of it. I also could have removed
evidence of the flagpole in this photo from the top left corner as well as make the sky seem
more “smooth”, for lack of a better word.

Caroline S - Flamingo

The title of my image is Flamingo because it is of one of the flamingos at the Nashville Zoo. This photo was taken in the morning right before we left to go home. I took it on an iPhone and I edited it by darkening the photo, sharpening it a little, and slightly turning up the vibrance. It would be better if it was better quality and if I would have taken it on an actual camera.

Javier O- Weather Report.

The Title of this selected image is “Weather Report”. This image was taken as I was driving and captured the beauty of the sunset during the month of October. It was taken with a smartphone and I edited it by removing some distractions and making the sky blend more which adds more of a settling tone. It could be better if maybe the tree wasn't there but I couldn’t remove it as it would only make the blending of the sky not look as good as it does now.

Reagan M - Boo

The title of my image is “Boo”. This photo was taken in October above my fireplace. It was taken with an iPhone 11. I edited this picture by adding more cool tones, and I made it look like a painting. I think this photo would be better if more decorations were in the background.

Danielle H- Mall View

This was taken at the mall's top or as high as I could get to. This was taken on my phone. This was from a video I took so I screenshot the video removed a few cars and made  it more green. I could have done better if I had taken the video when the sun started  to set  I could do a lot more like that.

Maggie P - Get Fresh

This photo is titled Get Fresh because that was the name of the event at which I took this photo. It was for the culinary academy at RC3, which I’m in, and was about ways to eat healthy without eating only ‘healthy’ foods. One of our teachers made homemade pesto and pasta, and I got this photo of him plating it. To edit the image, I tried to get rid of the grain due to how dim the room is and did some color grading to bring out the yellows and greens. I think while editing the brightness and contrast I accidentally made the pasta on the plate too bright, but besides that, I love how this turned out.

Ethan S - A Light in the Dark

This is A Light in the Dark. This photo was taken in my bathroom at my apartment about a week ago or something. I took it with a Nikon D40 DSLR. I don’t honestly remember how I edited it or if this is even the edited version, but I’m assuming it was cropped and had lighting edited. It could be clearer, but I didn’t have a tripod at the time.

Davis M- Frog

I took this photo at the farm with my phone in the kitchen window. I did multiple color gradients, generative fills, and color inverts. I believe I could make this photo bigger by increasing the size of megapixels it has. I lost the file a long time ago so I had to screenshot it.

Rachel N - The Sunset

This photo is called The Sunset. I took it on the Fort Walton Beach on July 30, 2024. I took it with my Iphone 15 Pro Max. I edited it by playing with the saturation and the shadows. I think it would’ve been better angle and time to take the photo. I took this when I was fishing with my dad. We stayed until night time and that is when I took this photo.

Tristen P- Sunset

This photo, Sunset 1, was taken behind the school on September 24, 2024, using my Nikon D5100. During editing, I enhanced the brightness and contrast and increased the vibrance and saturation, adjusting individual colors to bring out the depth of the scene. I also added a dry brush filter for a unique effect. One aspect I wish could have been better is a small black spot on my lens that showed up in the photo. Additionally, I would have liked to capture more of the sun in the shot.

Kais C- A Glistening Mirror

This picture was taken November 6 2024 inside of my house. My iPhone 13 pro camera. I used saturation filters and the used the threshold and cinematic preset for still life then I used it again and used HDR Efex to give it more color. I think i could’ve focused more on the mirror than the color on the photo

Samantha M - Metronome

This is my picture simply called “Metronome”. It was taken in an afternoon with my Canon camera after I ran down to the basement to try and get a shot of a metronome with two hands instead of just one. A spark of creativity had hit, so I didn’t wait until night when it was darker. My impatience said it had to be done right then. Unfortunately, because I was so impatient, I attempted several times to bring my creative vision to life but it never fully came to be. The yellow light seen was the light painting app I got for iPhone. I could never get my hand out of the shot, as seen with the red smudge at the top. The time to take this shot was around 20 seconds. After ten seconds I moved the dial to a different location, but it never was solid or clear like I had envisioned. If I spent a little more time and patience to get this specific shot, I am sure I could remove my hand smudge when taking the physical shot and get the dials to be clearer. My original goal was to get an “M” shape.

Montana T- Candles and Rings

This photo is titled Candle & Rings. This photo was taken in my room at night time and was shot with a Samsung A14. I edited this picture by making the background darker and adding some light to the fire of the candle to make it pop more. I also increased the detail of the rings to make them stand out more. This picture would've been better if the candle had been newer but other than that I like how it came out.

Rosalyn L- Pumpkin Patch

The title of this image is pumpkin Patch. This was taken At Helena on October 25th, 2024. This picture was taken on an iPhone. The way i edited this picture was by erasing some branches that were on the floor then I added brightness to it. I also added some texture and tint to it. It could have been better if the picture didn't look so zoomed in.

Caleb L- Waterfall 3

Taken at Niagara Falls, May 14, 2023. I was on a vacation.I could add more effect and more color

Anna G- Reaching

The title of this image is “Reaching”. There are multiple components to this picture. I took the picture of the sky a couple months ago on a saturday night in my backyard, I took the picture of the hand a few weeks ago in my backyard on an early sunday afternoon, and I took the picture of the moon a few months ago early in the morning in my front yard. All pictures were taken with my Nikon D5100 camera. I edited this picture by making the hand black and white, seperating it from its original background. Then, I dragged the hand to the picture of the sky and made a copy of the cloud on another layer and put it above the hand layer so the hand looked like it was coming out of the cloud. Then, I separated the moon from its original background and moved it to the picture of the sky and positioned it so it was just out of the hand’s reach. I think this photo could be better if the hand looked less choppy around the edges. I wanted this picture to look like a painting from a dream, because I really like how paintings are able to capture surreal dreamlike visions and I wanted to try to capture that same feeling with photography.

Rachel S- Swoop

My image is titled “Swoop” because that is the clear name of the airline on the wing of the plane. I took this picture over the summer on a plane ride to Canada. I love how you can see bits of the sunset and the night lights of Toronto below. I edited it by slightly cropping it and brightening the lights of the city below. However, I wish the picture wasn’t as grainy as it is. Because I took it through the window of a plane though, the quality is not as pure as it could be. Overall though, I really like the colors of this picture.

Chandler D- Boat Day

The title of this photo is “Boat Day”. This photo was taken in Panama City Florida, on The 4th Of July. This photo was captured on my iphone. To edit this photo i increase the brightness. I think this photo would be better if you could see the beach more.

Angel H- La Bandera

The title of the attached image is called “La bandera”  It was taken on September 15, 2024 The picture was taken on a phone I lowered the contrast, the brightness and gave it some shadows along with a dark colored blue. It probably could have went better by adding a bit more color to it in my opinion.

Nora M - Heart Tree

The title of the image is Heart Tree. This photo was taken in Yemen on June 4th 2024. I took this photo with an iPhone 13 Pro. I edited this photo by adding a preset filter and adjusting the blue hue of the image. I think this photo could be better if it was more vibrant.

Sadie S- Vroom Vroom

The title of this image is “Vroom Vroom”. It was taken at night in the parking lot of my house. It was taken with my phone. I edited it by brining up the saturation and light. I also brought the shadows down. I think it would be better if there wasn’t a glare on the left light.

Laura H- Neuschwanstein

This photo is titled Neuschwanstein because it's the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. I took this photo during the summer on a swinging bridge in Germany and it was taken with my phone. I used the saturation tool and art history brush to edit this photo. If I used a better camera, I am sure that the photo could have been better.

Lily D- On the Field

This image is called “On the Field”. It was taken at a ballpark around 2 weeks ago. It was taken with my iPhone 15. It was edited by using Photoshop and using the Filter Gallery filters. I think it could be better if I blurred out the background to make the subject stand out more.
