Welcome to the Hoover High Digital Photo Blog.
Here you can see images and comments by Digital Photo students at Hoover High School. The blog will be updated daily so check back to see whats new.
This photo was taken in Saint George Island on Spring Break. It was taken with my Nikon 3400 camera. I edited this by bringing down the exposure and bringing up the contrast. I wish the gate on the front of the dock was not there.

This image is amazing. The way the water fades into an empty scene is amazing.I would not change anything about this image as it is a perfect image. HHS ar
This picture looks really good! I think that bringing down the exposure was a good idea because it really adds to the mood of the picture. It gives the picture a softer, more gentle look. I like how the walkway has a softer focus due to the fog which also really adds to the mood of the picture. I also like how the walkway is off to the side and not in the middle because I think it makes the picture more interesting and really brings your attention to the different parts of the picture. Overall you did a great job and I really like the picture! - Abigail P. HHS
This is such a cool image! I love how the color of the sky and the color of the water are the same and they seem to blend in with one another. I think it was a good idea to lower the exposure to give it a little bit of a darker look and a creepier feel. I think it would be cool if the dock was more towards the center of the picture, but other than that I think it's great! Good work! -Ella F-HHS
I absolutely love the eerie feel of this photo. I really like the color of the muted sky and doc- it really adds to the overall vibe on the photo! I also really like the angle you took it from and the proportions of the doc to water. Really neat picture!
I love how he fog adds to the color scheme of this image. I also like that the rocky shoreline is visible. I really like the way this image is composed and framed, but I would love to see a version of it where the dock is centered. You said you did not like the gate in the photo, but I think it adds to the eerie theme and draws attention to the dock. The low visibility of the sky draws more attention to the focus point of the photo as well. - IH - HHS

This image is great! I love how the water and the fog/ sky blends into each other. Bringing the exposure down defiantly improve this image. I like how the duck is in the right third of the image. Very creepy and cool!
I like the way it looks like something is about to come out of the water and I like the darkness and the gloomy look or the look after it rains but still the fog is rising up from the water but I think it'll look better if you took the picture right in front of the deck but overall it looks good.
