Madison R - Parrot

This photo was taken at the Birmingham Zoo on the first of November. This photo was taken with my Nikon D3400 camera. I edited this photo in photoshop by bringing up the saturation and moving the curve to make the photo brighter. This photo could be better if the background was darker and the parrot was in better focus.

This is a really neat image! I think that all of the colors work really well together, and I like how you increased the saturation to highlight all of the bright colors. I also think that the depth of field works really nicely in this image. The blurred background really brings the focus onto the parrot. Great work! - Ella F- HHS

I love it! The subject is in the center of the photo, the colors of the subject are really vibrant, and the photo's bright enough for it not to be considered too dark/too bright. One critique, someone that you already mentioned in your post, was that if the parrot was in focus just a little bit more, it would make the photo even better than how it already is. But all in all, the photo is already very good and this is definitely a photo that I would hang on my wall!

I really love your picture! I love the lighting of this picture. The lighting is soft, which I really like. I like the depth of field this picture has. The background is not too close or too far away. You can still make out what the background is, which is nice. I really love the overall colors in your picture, especially the colors of the parrot. However, I do wish the cropping was a tad bit different. I do wish you could see the end of the tail feathers instead of them being cropped off. Other than that, I really love your picture!

I think your picture is really cool! I really like all of the bright colors. I think using the saturation was a good idea. It really seemed to bring out the colors in the picture.I also really like how the background is out of focus and the bird and the wood are in focus. I agree that the bird could have a little more focus.I think it would be kind of cool if you increased the red or blue colors in the photo to really accent some of the bird's feathers. I really like the brightness of the picture though and the light green of the trees in the background. This picture has a happy summer ind of feel because of the bright colors and green plants and I think you did a good job with the brightness and saturation! Good job!

This is such a pretty parrot and a beautiful picture. I like how you brought up the saturation and brighten it up. Also, I love how the background is blurred and focused on the colorful parrot. I hope you took some photos from different angles because I want to see them. This makes me feel so light. And I think I should really visit the zoo.RBL-HHS

I really like your photo. I really like the lighting because it is bright but not too bright. I like how the bird is in the center of the frame and the colors are very pretty. I like this photo and I think that the Zoo should hang it up!

I really like this picture it's not blurry at all and the colors in it really just make the picture beautiful. I like how everything is blurred in the background as well so all the focus is on the Parrot.

This picture brings so much of a color vibe to the scene. I love the focus on the animal in its exact position. The detail of the feather fits well with the whole area. One thing I wish you would have done different is make the green background more darker so the parrot could stand out more.
