JulienF - The Biltmore

I took this picture of the Biltmore mansion during Thanksgiving break. When editing the image I messed with the sky. I messed with the hue and saturation on the sky using control points. I’m really proud with how the image looks and how the sky now has a purple look to it.

I really like this image! I think that the low lighting really sets the mood, it is not too bright or too dark and has the perfect amount of exposure for a night shot which is hard to achieve. I like the coloring of the sky and there is a good heavy balance between the light and dark areas. Overall, I think this image is a keeper, I would definitely print this and hang it in my home!

This image is so beautiful. I really love the color of the lights and how the color of the sky makes building pop out. One thing I probably would have done though is brighten the building and the people maybe just a small touch. It is pretty dark and not a lot of detail can be seen. But this is amazing.

I really enjoy this photo particularly because it feels like it tells a story of the mansion. As the surrounding sky is strange and different from as we know it so would be the rest of the surrounding world to people when the mansion was built. This creates this story of the mansion being an unchanging monument to when it was created. Another thing i like about this photo is the exposure and dark areas as most of the photo is dark with small sources of light. The photo could be interpreted as underexposed but i think because of the kind of shot you went for it still worked.

Such a beautiful image! I love the purple sky mixed in with a bit of blue. It definitely stands out to the rest of the photo. In some spots it looks like its raining /or snowing but I know that it's just a smudged lens. Be sure you clean your lens and keep on being creative!

This photo is really nice. I really enjoy the composition of it. The lighting behind the building is really cool. I know you couldn't control it but It would have been better if the front of the building had a bit more light. I also think that you should have cleaned the dust particles out of the sky. I also watched you edit it so that was cool to see the before and after. ;)

I really like this photo. especially the colorful night sky. The blue and purple go well together. One feature I would change is the contrast level. But Overall, it's a great picture.

I love how the mansion looks during the nighttime, it's hard to capture an image when it's dark out. The sky and the lights on the mansion allow the structure of the building to look magical
