Emilee T- Samford University Conservatory

I took this picture in September at the Samford University Conservatory. I took this with my iPhone 8plus. To edit this image, I played around with replacing the colors and increasing the contrast and brightness. I could’ve spent more time with the lighting in this picture or taken it from a better position. I really like how this turned out, I think it’s really neat.

This image is so cool. I love the way you distorted the color. The neon is great and adds a little uniqueness to the image. Its also great that the color outlines the plant better and makes it more visible to the eye. Overall, this is a really good image.

I absolutely love the colors in this image! The plants themselves are a very cool medium to use to pallet colors, and I'm a huge fan of the choice of color used. I can tell a hue shift was used, and it makes the background agree in color with the foreground, a great choice for the image. One thing that really made this picture stand apart for me was how the plant stood out so vibrantly against the background, be it the dark window or the mortar bricks below. Overall, this picture works very well, if there was one thing I'd change it would be to tone down the saturation a bit to combat the compression artifacts around the edges of the colored spots. Other than that, the picture is great!

Nice picture! The focus of your photo is very precise on the plant which I love because it immediately caught my eye. I like how the bulk of the color is centered on the part of the plant that is in the pot while it decreases and contrasts to the ends of the plant against the brick wall. I would suggest cropping the picture a little bit more so that the plant on the right isn't showing too much because it takes away a bit of attention from the main plant. But besides that, I love how the photo came out and this would be a keeper for sure due to the color range of the plant from the top to the bottom.

I like this photo because of its unique nature. While it seems like it was originally a quite average photo of a plant, the editing you did really elevates the image adding new purple hues that contrast well with the paler greens left over. The vivid purple really draws the attention of the viewer. The sharp focus allows the audience to see a lot of the details in the plants and walls.

I love this image and your editing was fantastic! I do agree that possibly taking at the picture in a different angle then using the same color editing would have definitely enhanced the image . But still overall this was a great picture!
