David J- Any Other Name

The title of my picture is Any Other Name. I took it in the Hoover High school courtyard. I took it wit a Canon Powershot. I edited it by changing effects and coloring in photoshop CS4. It could be better if I could make it a higher resolution.

I like the exposure of this photo, because it is very bright so that you can see the detail of the flower. If it was underexposed, you would lose the elements of the flower. I also like the tonal range of this photo. Especially with the white in the background, it makes the tonal range very specific. I like the mood of this photo, it emits a certain fresh and simple feeling.

I love the overall simplicity of this image. It's straightforward, the center of the picture is the vibrant pink flower and it's really brought out by the white background. It's very soft as well.

I think the blank background compliments the photo really nicely. It puts much more emphasis on the soft colors of the rose. I think it would look nicer if it was a bit more centered, but other than that you did a great job.
