Shelby S - On the Edge
The title of this image is “On the Edge” and it was taken on the corner of the D-Hall building, taken during 3rd period. This was taken with my Canon EOS T4i that belongs to my mom. I edited it by adding vignette, sharpen, and a little hue/saturation change. I couldn’t get the corner quite in the middle, but I wish I could’ve made it in the middle. I do enjoy how the background blurs a little, it adds some contrast to the photo.
Spencer S - M4
This was taken last Saturday at Cars and Coffee using my Nikon D40X. For editing, I increased the shadows, decreased the highlights, color graded it, and boosted the clarity. Looking back, I think I could've been less aggressive with my editing.
Cedric C - Spring
The title of my image is Spring because these flowers are starting to come out in spring, It was taken on the weekend at the backyard of my house with my Iphone 14, i edited it on photoshop and i just lowered the shadow and darkness and increased the brightness, i think it could be better if i had taken the picture better.
Darnell C. ~ Little Habibi In The Woods
I took this picture over at the Vestavia library’s walking trail at the beginning of the school year, and I took a picture of my friend Nabeyal here at the school in February when we were taking shots for the Portrait assignment. I brightened up the background and darkened up Nabeyal a bit. I took the forest picture using my Olympus X-935 camera, and I took my friend's picture using my phone. I could’ve done this better if I made my friend a bit darker, and if I used a tripod for the background so it wouldn’t be so blurry
Ella H- War Eagle
The name of this photograph is “War Eagle.” I took this photo on February 19, 2023 in Auburn, Alabama when touring the campus. I took this photo with my iPhone 13 camera. When I edited the photo, I increased the sharpness and saturation, while I lowered the exposure of it a little. I think this photograph would have been better if I were to have used my digital camera instead. However, I am pleased with the way this photograph came out.
Aleli S- Winds
This is a photo that I took at Samford On February 21 when Symphony Winds was doing there per MPA concert this photo was originally very dark I was able to bring some light to it but it made it look a little bit orange
Jordon W - Blooming in the Dark
David C- Chill Cat
The title of the image I like to present is called “Chill Cat.” This photo was taken on December 23rd, 2023 at my friend's house. I was cat-sitting while my friend was on vacation during the Christmas break. I took this photo with my iPhone while the cat was just chilling. What I did with the editing is I cropped it a lot to get the cat at an angle to where there was no space on the outside. I also lightened the image and had the vibrance go up. I could have maybe had the contrast and definition go up more so the cat could pop out.
Lauren B- Cat
This was taken December 28th 2023, It was taken at a relatives house. This was taken with my Canon Rebel T7, and there were no modifications made to the image. However, I do wish I cropped the image so that there would be no extra room to the left of the picture.
Blake P- Man's Best Friend
My picture is called “Man’s Best Friend”, this photo was taken on my grandparents property, out in the field. I had let my dog go out there to run around freely and took some photos of her. I can’t remember exactly when this photo was taken but it was from before taking this class. I used Camera Raw to add grain, lighten the shadows, lower the highlights, and added a vignette to make the photo look worn out. I added a black and white filter over that then created a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and used the Sepia preset. I think it could be better if I found a way to make it look even less uniform and more damaged but overall I'm happy with it.
Reagan P - The Back Way
This photo is titled “The Back Way”. This photo was taken on February 18, 2024 in downtown Birmingham. The photo was taken with my Sony Camera. I chose to not edit this photo because I liked how the photo looked. If I had edited this photo I would have changed the lighting to make the photo better.
Chris H- Happy Blake
The name of this photo is called, “Happy Blake”. It was taken in the Photography room on Feburary 2nd. It was taken with Mr. Rigsby camera. I edited it in the Photoshop App. I don’t know how I could improve it.
Diego H- A Church
My image is named, “A Church.” It was taken in Orgon, France on October 15, 2022. It was taken with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I made the colors a bit more vibrant. I wish I had a better camera to use because it gets a bit blurry when you zoom in a little too far.
Miley H- Individual Interior
The title of the image is Individual Interior. It was taken at the Alabama Theater on February 20th, 2024. I took the picture with my iPhone 13. I made the picture brighter and I also edited someone out that was in the corner of the picture. I think the picture could also be better if I made the brightness less bright on some of the lights because you can hardly see the detail of the lights hanging on the side. I also think I could have cropped or edited some of the people out on the bottom floor.

Blake P- Environmental
This picture is called “Environmental” and was taken over thanksgiving break in North West Arkansas. It was taken with my Nikon D5100 camera. I changed the hue with camera raw to make the person more blue than green. I also bumped up the shadows and contrast to get that light to pop. I think it could be better with different lights shining on him but I was working with what I had and I really like this photo.

Dalia A H- Elise
This was taken in my bed room about a month or so ago, it was taken with my canon EOS rebel T1i, this is unedited because I prefer it that way. Maybe this could be better if it was taken farther away and got more of my posters in the frame.
Avery- A Gentleman
This picture of my dog is titled A Gentleman. I took it at my house with my phone on February 11. I didn’t really edit it at al, I just thought it was funny. I could’ve been better if I had fixed the framing and posed him a little bit.
Evie G - Plant
This Image is called “Plant”. I took this during the ‘Night and Day’ unit with my Canon Ax700 in my backyard. I edited out some of the flyaways from the plant and brightened the image just slightly. What I wish I would have done differently is to have taken the image from a different angle.
Jaiyva C- The Price of Freedom
The title of my image is The Price of Freedom because Palestinians are experiencing horrendous events daily. It was taken in February in New Orleans with my Canon Rebel T7i. I didn’t edit the photo, as I think that the blurred effect with the signs visibility lets the photo show the calmness of the protest. I wish the photo showed more people then I got, or I got shots from another angle. It was such an amazing experience, and some people were carrying bundles of cloth with blood, micking the babies killed in war. The signs, parents walking with their babies, and some people from there made you just be thankful for your life and blessings.

Xander B- Blue Pillars
The title of the picture is Blue Pillars due to the blue light on the pillars. This picture was taken in downtown Birmingham, right outside of city walk skatepark. It was taken with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I edited this photo by taking out unwanted signs and messing with the light and the intensity in Photoshop. I think it could have been better if I was standing still and not in the car. But so far out of any projects or pictures I have teken this school year this one has been my favorite.
Maggie O- Pipes
This photo is called Pipes. It was taken with one of Mr Rigsby’s cameras in the new PAC building. This is underneath the stage in the orchestra pit. I edited this photo by making the walls cooler and the lights warmer. I also added a dark vignette on the corners of the photo to really emphasize the light coming from the pipes. I wish I could’ve gotten rid of some of the glare in the background of the photo, but otherwise I am very proud of this piece.
Haiden G- Run Away
I call this photo “Run Away” it was taken at my church when the lights were off and i was wandering around and i saw this hallway and i took a photo of it with my phone and i was happy with what i got it i think it could be better if i used an actual camera and not my phone

Aleli S- TV Girl
This is a photo of my friend Mars. We called this photo TV Girl b/c the colors were inspired by an album cover. I think this is a really nice photo. I think I could have worked a lot more on it to make it a lot better.
Jordon W - Happy Halloweeen
I took this photo in my living room using fall season props. Halloween had already ended by then but we were slow to put things up so I took that to my advantage for the still life assignment. I used my iPhone for this photo and mainly used the color wheel to play around with the colors while increasing highlights and contrast. I think it’s a decent photo overall

Nabeyal K - Mugshot
The name of this photo is Mugshot, it was takin at the school in January. It was takin by using the editing application on the computer. I edited it using different mugshots from different students in the class. It could be better if it was more blended in and more clean.
Kennrix J- Trojans Trip
The Photo was taken at Troy University, on October 9th. It was taken with my cellphone camera, it wasn’t edited at all everything is unedited.
Ava J- Sunset
This is a photo I took at the Hoover Met. It was taken on September 26th 2023. I think this photo could be better if I got more of the sunset than the trees. I just added a filter to the picture . This picture was taken with my iPhone xs.
Zander H- 2013 Camaro
This photo was taken Sep 6, 2023 and it was taken in my driveway. This was taken with my Rebel T7. I edited this photo by brightening the green in the background and making it more vibrant while it’s reflecting off my car. I think maybe this photograph could have been better if I made a version were I removed all the colors that are reflecting off the car making it stand out more around all of the green.
Kyle H- Car Wash
It was taken in my driveway on November 14,2023. It was taken on my iPhone 12 Pro. I increased the color on this image. Then I increased the definition to make my car stand out more. It would be better if I took the image at a better angle.
Zoey M- Kash
This is called Kash, because that’s my dog’s name. This was taken in my bedroom on August 12, 2023. I didn’t edit this but I used lighting and a backdrop. I took it with my phone. It would be better if I edited it.
Jaden O- The Hole in the Sky
This picture was taken at a lake a little earlier this year. It was taken with a phone.I edit it by making the light brighter and the clouds a bit darker. I feel like if the clutter weren’t on the ground it would’v been better but it still look good to me.
Milan S - Horizon Line
The title of this photo is the Horizon Line. This was taken at the movie theater in Vestavia on December 23. I took this with my Iphone 15 pro max. I cropped it in some so the focus would be more on the sunset. I also blurred out the cars. The only thing I would change would be taking out the poll so you can see the sky more overall I like it.
Kye W - Don't Cry
On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 3:31 AM, I captured this moment in the studio with Shelby and Rose using my T7 rebel camera. After snapping the picture, I decided to enhance it by adding some text and adjusting the brightness to achieve the desired effect. Looking back, I realize I could have improved the placement of the LED lights on the balloon to create more of a glowing bubble effect, aligning with my initial vision for the shot.
Morgan W- Sunset Strings
I titled this photo “Sunset Strings”. I took this in my closet using my iphone camera and a sunset lamp. I edited it by removing some of the spots on the guitar using the remove tool and the spot healing tool. I wish I would've paid more attention to the touch-ups I made because you can kinda see where I tried to fix it.
Reid S- Clear Blue Water
The title of this photo is “Clear Blue Water”. I took this photo on June 6, 2023 at Turks and Caicos. It was taken with my iphone. I edited it to make the color of the water lighter. It could be better if I got more of the water and a little more straight.
Emmanuel MDiamonds
The title of this photo is, “Diamonds”. This picture was taken a few months back in a guitar center. It was taken with my IPhone 14 plus camera. I edited this photo by cooling down the tones and by increasing the exposure a bit. I feel like it could be better by getting rid of the slight Sun Flare in the right side of the image.
Porter M- Plant
This image is called Plant. I like it because it is a plant in a little collection of rocks. It was taken on my phone in the woods by my house. I upped the exposure and highlights while lowering shadows and brightness. I could improve this picture by capturing more of the surrounding wildlife.
Kayli M - Beauty in Death
This is an image I took on my phone of a dying bouquet of roses. I took this photo at my house near a window for the lightning. I edited it by brightening the image and making the color of the roses more saturated. I think the image could have been better if you couldn’t see me holding it but overall I really loved this image!
Brooke L- Outside
This Picture was taken on February 2nd in a parking lot. It was taken with my iPhone Xr and I edited it by brightening up parts of the picture, making it more vibrant and getting rid of small flaws. I think one thing I could’ve done better was maybe have the lightning in a better position
Adan K- Lake
This was taken with a iPhone 13 Pro at Lake Tuscaloosa. It was taken may of 2023. I edited it by cropping out some stuff that didn't look good in the photo. I think it could be better if I turned the exposure up so the trees in the background would show a bit better.
Tayla S- Candid Portrait
The title of my selected image is “Candid Portrait.” I took this photo on January 27, 2024 at a fabric/fashion store called Joannes. This photo was taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max camera. I edited this photo by vignetting it, changing the brightness and contrast, making the background black and white and blurry, deleting a few things with the remove tool, and coloring the edge of the fabric in this photo white to make it look shiny. I could have made this photo better by blurring the background a little bit more so it would give less of a distraction from the main subject.
RJ R- Family Breakers
I named this photo Family Breaker because this card can get people really mad. I took this photo at my house near the beginning of the year and I took it with my Canon T3i camera. I edited the picture by altering all the colors and by making small changes like brightness and contrast. I wish I had gotten the bottom right corner more into focus because it looks a little out of place to me but overall I think the image is good.
Reagan P- Dog Nap
The name of this photo is “Dog Nap”.This photo was taken at my house on August 24, 2023 at 8:10 am. This photo was taken with my Sony camera. I edited this photo by changing the saturation and the lighting of the photo. I actually don't think this photo could be better.
Marshall P- Mountain Range
This photo was taken at a ski resort in Massanutten, Virginia. I didn't edit this photo at all, just took it raw on my phone, I probably could have edited it some to make it better.
Owen P- Error 404
The title of my image is Error 404. It was taken in the photography studio on January 31st with a Canon Rebel T7. I did not edit it because I think the colors are good just how they are. I could be better with a more solid background and lighting, but overall I really like this picture.
Katelyn Nabors - Streetlight in the Day
This image titled “Streetlight in the day” was used for our night and day project. It was taken using my Iphone. I edited it by adjusting the exposure and coloring in the sky and trees. It might be better if I had cropped it more.
