Kye W - Cinnamon Honey Cheerios

 I snapped this picture in my kitchen around 7:30 p.m. using my trusty iPhone 11. To create a cozy ambiance, I always like to have more than just regular lights, so I set up some brown lighting. I also cropped the photo to better showcase the cereal as the focal point. If I had edited it further, I could have removed the dirty laundry hamper that accidentally made its way into the left side of the picture next to the Cheerios. Despite that, this picture holds a special place in my heart. It serves as a constant reminder to step out of my comfort zone, mix and match, and experiment with unexpected combinations. It's amazing how two different things can come together so beautifully! It's definitely one of my all-time favorite captures.

Morgan W- After Practice Sunsets

 The title of this picture is called After Practice Sunsets.This picture was taken after one of my band practices this month. I remember seeing the sunset so I just thought it would be a good idea to take a picture of it. I edited it by making the background grainy so it could give a vintage vibe and I also increased the color of the sunset. I think that I should've taken it in a different location because I did a lot of cropping and retouching in order to get it like this but overall I like it.

Eugene K- Ripple and Time

I called this picture Ripple and Time, because of the clouds and sea ghoul, who’s trying to sneak through it and flew away. It was taken in Apr 16, 2023, at Florida, Panama City Beach. I took this photo with my phone(Iphone 14) and haven’t edited it in any way. This picture was taken in a little bit of a weird angle and it can be changed. But at the same time this angle is giving the main mood to the picture. This picture reminds me of great times I spent with my family.

 

Xander B- Dark Abyss

 I took this picture while on my front porch, I call this picture the Dark Abyss. I took this picture with my phone. This was a picture that was slightly edited and happy how this came out and would not edit it any other way. 

Adam K- May 26th

 The picture was taken May 26 2021 and it was taken driving down 69 south Tuscaloosa Alabama. It was take with a iPhone 13 pro. I just added some clarity and lower the contrast level. I think it could be better if the exposure was a little higher and the rain bow was more visible. This image was when i was living in Tuscaloosa.

Dallas H- Million Dollar Jet

 The title of the image is the Million Dollar Jet. I named it that cause its the million dollar band playing and they made a jet for the fly over at the game. The photo was taken at Bryant Denny stadium on Sep 2, 2023. I took the photo with my phone cause I didn’t bring my camera and I thought it was just a cool scene to look at. I didn't do much editing the only thing I did was make it darker on the outside and lighter by the band. I think if I was able to get a better angle on the picture it could have been better or maybe I could have taken out some things and cropped some things out so there isn’t to much around the photo.

Kennrix J - Close to Ground Landscape

This photo was captured on a sunny day, I have decided to name this photograph “Close to Ground Landscape.” This photograph was taken with a Canon 4000D.

Zander H- My Dog Obi

 This photo was taken at my grandparents house on September 2nd for the “About Me” assignment. I took this photo with my Canon Rebel T7. I edited this photo by adjusting the green in the background, increasing the brightness to it and adding more color. I also decreased the brightness of the whole photo so the sunlight wouldn’t be too bright, also making the photo a little more calm. I think what could’ve made this photo a lot better if the background was maybe a sunset or some sort of scenery in the background. 

Maggie O- Nostalgia

  This image is called Nostalgia. It was taken on July 22, 2023 at a playground with my Iphone 11. I enhanced all of the colors to make everything bright and saturated like you saw the world as a kid. I don’t think that I could’ve done anything better.

Remo M - Purple Sky

 The name of this image is Purple Sky. I took it on September 24th at 4:09 p.m. outside of the Legions Stadium. I took it on my iPhone SE camera. I increased the brightness and purple hue and also lowered the detail on the subject and increased the grain of the image. I used daylight as the light source and I think I edited it pretty well even though I went a little crazy on the editing.

Owen P- Party Room

 This picture is called Party Room. This was taken in my bedroom on October 2, 2023. I took it with my Cannon 7D using a flashlight, a disco ball, and my LED lights. I edited it by making the reds pop more and I increased the contrast and brightness. I think it would be better if it was a little less blurry around the sides. This picture took me about 10 minutes to get.

Reagan P- The Escape

The title of this photo is “The Escape” because my dog, Peanut, looks like he feels accomplished and proud of himself. This photo was taken at my house on October 5 with my Sony Camera. I edited this by cropping the photo and adjusting the contrast. I think this photo could be better if some of the plants were alive.

 I took this photo outside my house with my Nikon camera. I didn’t edit the photo very much, I mostly just turned the exposure up. I think I should’ve included more of the smoke and I could’ve tried to edit the photo to where the background is less UP IN YOUR FACE fr.

I took this photo of this shovel because it kinda shows how just the smallest thing like a match can lead to chaos like burning other things.

The title of this image is Paxton. I took it on August 19, 2023 at my house. It was taken with my camera which is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. I edited it by changing the brilliance and brightness to make it lighter. I also moved the dial on the color to go up some. It could be better if it was less blurry. It also would be better if the lighting was a little brighter.

 The title of the selected image is Cat, this was taken at my home with my iPhone. Didn't edited it too much. not sure how it could be better.

Marissa H- Path

 I titled this photo “Path” It was taken by the Cahaba River on Saturday (10-7-23) morning. I took this photo on my phone. I edited this photo using the camera raw filter, and I added texture and clarity. On photoshop I added brightness and vibration. I contrasted the picture and also darkened it a little to make the trees not so bright. I think it could be better if the picture was a little more clear. If the trees in the back were clearer to see specifically. I really liked the colors and the weather was really nice. The path was enclosed by trees and hills so I liked the look of this photo. 

Blake P- You’ve got to BEE kidding me

This picture is called “You’ve got to BEE kidding me.” It was taken on my back porch on September 30th, 2023. I used my Nikon D5100. I used photoshop to darken and highlight areas of the image. The picture could be better if I had a better prowise and more skill in editing.

I took this photo on September 30th of 2023 after returning home from going to my friend Colton's house. I took this photo on an iPhone 11. Funny thing is I didn't edit it cause you know Im really him for real for real. I think it doesn't need to be better cause I cocked without cocking. 
 

Dalia AH- Corner Poster

 The title of this picture is Corner Posters. This was taken in the corner of my room with my string lights on. This was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T1i. I made the colors brighter and I liked the contrast. I think it would be better if it was only slightly darker in my room.

Ella H- Moonlight on The Mountain

The title of my image is “Moonlight on the Mountain.” I took this photo around 8 pm in my backyard. I took this photo with my Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D camera. I also used a tripod to capture this photograph. To edit this picture, I enhanced the brightness of the moon, and added stars to try and fill in the dark sky. However, I do wish that I had cropped more of the sky out, and enhanced the visibility of the stars. If I were to do this image again, I would try to be more creative with resolving the issue of the empty space.

Evie G- Flowers

 This image I took is called ‘Flowers’. I took this image in my backyard towards the end of September. This was taken with my Canon ax700. To edit the image, I brighted it up and I also took away some of the color saturation. I wish I could have gotten this image when it was around sunset to see a different effect.

Daniel F- Black and White Leaf Bug

 The title of this image is “Black and White Leaf Bug”. This photo was taken at 10:47 p.m. on August 29th, 2023. I took this picture of a Leafbug on my window sill inside of my home. I took this picture with my Nikon D7100 camera. I edited this image by obviously making it black and white but I also sharpened it and added a small amount of grain. I feel this picture could have been better if I could get closer but I don’t own a macro lens so this was the best I could get. The Leafbug in this photo died the next day as I tried to catch it to release it but It flew away and I found it the next day dead on the ground. R.I.P. Jeremy.

Haiden G- A Walk Down the Dirt Path

 

Hello my name is Haiden and this is me describing the image I chose for my blog assignment and I call it “A Walk Down the Dirt Path”. The photo was taken between September 25 and 29th at Fun Go Holler Park in Pelham. Then I edited it using an adjustment called “Warmer”. I don’t have an idea on how I can make this photo any better than it is right now.  And that is all I have for today thanks for reading.

 

Harleigh P- Red Light

 The photograph is titled "Red Light". It was taken in my backyard during sunset using my iPhone 14 Pro and edited on the Adobe Photoshop app. I used the app to change the light color from bright yellow to a darker red, creating a spooky effect, perfect for the current spooky season. Although I believe the image would have been scarier if I was closer, I am still proud of the overall result.

Spencer S-Mocking Bird on Fence Post

 After school, I captured a shot of a mockingbird perched on the fence in my driveway using my Nikon D40X. To create a more serene and vibrant composition, I decided to remove the fence spikes that might have cluttered the frame, and I enhanced the colors in almost every aspect of the photo. Looking back, I believe the image could have been even more captivating if the bird had been in motion, adding a dynamic element, while ensuring the clarity of the shot, which could have resulted in a cooler and more captivating photograph.

Jordon W - A Warm Welcome Home

The title of this image is A Warm Welcome Home. It was taken right in front of my house on a Wednesday night for the Day & Night assignment. I used an iPhone 13 to shoot it and messed around with the shutter speed to increase the exposure. I edited the photo by mostly using the raw camera filter in Photoshop. I mainly increased the whites and also increased the texture, clarity, and definition. I do not really know how this image could be better, maybe I could have tried to do some more playing around with the lighting when editing if I wanted to go for a more unique-looking shot, but overall I like this image.

 

Lauren B- Sea Photograph

This photo was taken March 27th, 2022 on my cruise to Mexico. This photo was taken with my Iphone 11 at the time. I didn’t edit this photograph heavily, however when I was taking this picture I did lower the brightness of it. I feel as though If I brightened the water and made it a lighter blue so the water and sky can align in color, it would be nice. I like this picture a lot because I love how the water and sky meet at the end, along with how the clouds scatter out but somehow connect right where the sky and sea come together.

 

Tayla S- About Me 5

 The title of my selected image is “About Me 5.” This photo was taken on August 19, 2023 in my bedroom. This photo was taken with my iPhone 11 camera.  I changed the lighting, vignette, and erased some things from the photo. This photo could be better if I shaped the heart of the necklace to make it look better. This photo is one of my best photos I took and edited.

Jaiyva C- Beginnings

I chose the name “Beginnings” because I noticed that I was looking more like fall and the beginning of a new season. I took a photo almost identical to this last year, so it’s becoming a personal trend. I took this photo walking around my neighborhood in September. I took it with my Iphone and just cropped it a bit to keep the natural aspect like my other one. It is a little plain to the eye, yet I think I wouldn't change anything.

 

Maya H- Forbidden Love

 The title of this photo is “Forbidden Love,” jokingly referring to the person in the photo on the right and the rubber chicken on the left. It was taken on October 10, 2023 in the courtyard at the Vestavia Hills City Center. I took it on a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 camera. The main thing I did editing-wise was add a pink tint, clarify the image more, and add a vignette. I think it could be better if the rubber chicken was a bit more in focus. 

Aleli S- Bluff Park

This photo is called Bluff Park. It was taken at the end of September by Tiptop. I edited it by adding more light to make the car light brighter and masking the rest darker. I think that something I could have done differently would have been the little lights on the building, making them look less like stars.

 

Chris H- Molotov

The title of the my image is called “Molotov”. It was taken at my Mom’s house on September 26th.

I took this photo with my Canon EOS Rebel 17 Camera. I edited this photo in the Adobe Photoshop App. I wish the bottle was more off to the right so that more “Rule of Thirds” was showing and more smoke was showing, but it’s still an amazing photo. I took about 20+ photos of just this bottle, and I honestly got it by complete accident. The paper towel was on fire but then it started producing a alot of smoke for a couple seconds while I was in the middle of pressing the button so I’m very proud of it.

 

Shelby S - The Lyric

 The title of this photo is “Lyric”. This was taken in downtown Birmingham and it was taken on August 20th at around 2:30 in the afternoon. It was taken with a Canon EOS T4i camera. I edited it by adding more saturation and increasing the vignette to focus on the actual building. I think it could’ve been better by increasing the vignette a little more and possibly going at a time closer to sunset.

Cedric C- Fog

 The title I gave this image is Fog, it's very simple but I like it and it's because the main thing that makes this image like it for me it's the effect with the fog. I took this picture for the night and day assignment on October 6, 2023 and I took it while walking on a trail I went to. This was taken with my phone and I edited it with photoshop while in class. I didn't do too much just adjusted to what looked the best for me. I didn't want it to be very colorful, I like it a lot and it might could’ve been a little better with some other angles but how this one is I’d probably prefer it, its my favorite image I’ve taken in a while

Kayli M - Pink Baby's Tea Party

 This is an image that I took for the ‘About Me’  assignment in August called ‘Pink Baby’s Tea Party.’ I took it with my camera at my grandmother's house because her house had the scrapbook pages that you see in the back. I edited it by brightening the image and fixing some of the miscolorings on the photo. I think it could've been better if I really focused more on the teacups instead of obsessing over the background. The lovies that you see having the tea party is actually the exact same! The one on the left is 16 years old and the one on the right is two years old.

Avery A- Mexico Beach

 This photo was taken on October 5, 2023, at Mexico Beach with my iPhone 13. I edited it by putting more focus on the sun and making the shadows more defined. I think it could have been better from another perspective, but I’m still happy with the result. 

RJ R- A Chaos Rose

This picture is a project my sister had to do where she had to put together random things so  because of that, I decided to title this image Chaos Rose. This image was taken at my house near the start of the year and I took this image with a Canon T3i camera. I edited this picture by changing the colors around like the reds (rose) turing into purple. It could be better if I made a few touch ups to it but I’m overall really satisfied with it.

 

Alisha C- “Back to 80’s”

 This image was taken in my 80’s themed kitchen. I took it with my Cannon EOS M50. I edited this photo using Lightroom. In the lightroom, I used the grading colors to bring in some warmth. I also used the masking effect to have highlights and shadows for more contrast on the subject's faces. I believe it could be better by highlighting the cool tones to bring in the 80s vibe.
