Maddox D- Pink Flower

 The title of this image is Pink Flower. This was taken in my backyard on October 30 ,2022. It was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T6i. I brightened the image and put more saturation to brighten the colors. I feel like I could have focused on the flower better.

 

Helen S- In The Mirror

I took this photo in my room at night a month or two ago. I took this picture with my Sony A6500 with the micro lens on it. The way I edited this was by using the burn tool and making the image darker. I think the position of the image could have been better and the circumstances as well. I took this picture just to mess around and it turned out pretty good. 

Anna Gale H- Flowers in the Night

 This image is called Flowers in the Night. I took it in my neighborhood as the sun was going down. I took this photo with my iphone 13 pro. To edit this picture I cropped out the background some and I made the purple color show more. I think this image could be a little bit clearer but I think overall the image is nice. 

Amber H- Aquarium

 This image is titled Aquarium. It was taken in July at the Mcwane Science Center. It is a photo of my brother and my boyfriend looking at the jelly fish. I took this photo with my iphone 12. The only way it was edited was with cropping, there was another person in the image that I cropped out. I think this photo could have been better if the quality was better. At the same time, I like the natural and candid feel it gives the photo. 

Ahmad J- Blazing Wood

 This image was taken at point clear in Mobile AL during Thanksgiving of 2021. It was taken was my iPhone 11 pro. I increased the saturation a little bit but other than that nothing has been modified. I think I might be able to crop it in a bit to improve it but other than that I think it’s good. It’s a nice lil fire.

 This photo was taken November 1, 2022 & on my front porch. This was taken on my iphone 11 in portrait mode. I messed with the sharpness & lighting a bit & it would’ve been better if I cleared the dirty spots up around it.

Dori H - Changing Seasons

 This is my favorite picture because it is an odd picture but still shows a story. This picture is called “Changing Seasons”. It is a snow boot with cranberries and frosted leaves coming out of it. It also has different leveled candle holders with pinecones on top of them. It is strange but gives the picture a nature-like and elegant look. There is a warm autumn light coming from the right and a cold blue light coming from the left. This represents the seasonal change from fall to winter. It reminds me of the festive and loving season ahead of me. I changed the levels a bit in photoshop as well as changing the exposure o the boot laces. Overall this is a picture that I really like.

Jade S- Wedding

 I took this photo at a wedding on June 4th at Vulcan Park. I edited the photo using photoshop. I really thought the view was very beautiful with all the decorations they had up. I increased the brightness and exposure so it can look more “alive”. I also increased the color balance to give it a more cool tone. For the last few touches I decreased the vibrance.

Ashton T - Close-Up Narrative

The title of this image is “Close Up Narrative” as I took it for the still life assignment. I took this in my dad’s game room on his pool table. I took this with my NIKON D80. I edited this image a lot by adjusting the contrast and making the focus more on the yellow pool ball. I also had to move the pool ball in editing to make it centered with the rest of them. I really like this image and don’t know how I could make it better. I’m also very excited to have this printed, as my dad says he wants to hang it in his game room.

 

Ayda M- October 1st

 The title of my picture is October 1st, I took this picture at my granddads house with a Canon Rebel T7i. I turned up the saturation and contrast and I also made it warmer. I think if there were more trees on the right side of the picture it would be more balanced and I would like it more. Overall I like this picture and it makes me think of the beginning of fall. 

Diana P - Sunset

 The title of this image is “Sunset.” I took this picture when I was driving around with my boyfriend back in October. I took this picture with my Canon Powershot SX530. I didn’t edit it, I liked how it came out as it is. Although, I do think it would be better if it was more focused on the sun.

COOPER G - Interest

  This photo is titled “Interest.” I took this photo at school in my second period photography class on October 26th, 2022 just messing around with some settings and I actually do like the way it turned out. I took it on my iPhone 13 and edited it by slightly turning down the highlights and the brilliance up a little bit as well as the contrast, I also put it in black and white to give it a lighthearted tone and mood. I think that if I focused more on the pencil it’s look a little cooler but I am pretty happy with the turnout of this composition.

Aniah J- Chocolate Heart

I was at work when I took this picture. I was making a chocolate milkshake and then just decided to do a heart design and take a picture ( with my phone camera ) because I thought it looked cool. I edited it with   brightness,contrast,and exposure until I thought it looked neat and creative. I think the heart could have been a little more skinnier and not as wide but otherwise I thought it looked good.

Lana Q- Sisters

This photo was taken in the parking lot of a waffle house early in the morning. This photo was taken with my Canon EOS T3 Camera where I focused on my sisters. I edited it with warmth and sharpness. It could be a little less bright in the background. These are my two sisters, my twin and my younger sister.

 

Mohamid S- Red Egg

The title of the image is Red Egg. This picture was taken at my grandparent's house on my phone. I selected parts of the egg and edited the hue and saturation of the parts. I could have made it look more realistic. The egg is in a litter box.

 

Courtney L- A Saturday Out

The title of the selected image is called “A Saturday Out”. This picture was taken as i was driving on a saturday afternoon as I noticed the scenery arounded me was very pretty so. This photo was taken via my i phone. This photo is currently not edited because I never really used this photo to be shown. The photo could be better if I did decided to edit the photo to give it some color and contrast.

This was taken on Oct. 8th while Ally and her boyfriend were messing around in Target after our hoco dinner. I edited the colors and changed the filter. This image was taken off of my iphone 11. I don’t know what all I did just that I changed the brightness and contrast to make the image brighter. 

 

Ryan G- Pumpkin

 The picture is of a pumpkin in front of my house. I took this picture for the night and day project in front of my house. I took it with my iphone. I made it darker and made the inside a better color of orange and tried to make it look more real. I don't really think it could be better i really happy with the way it turned out

Lana Q- The World in His Eyes

I took this photo in my boyfriend's living room, over last weekend, using the flash. I used my Canon EOS t3 Camera. I adjusted the lighting/brightness and sharpness and warmth. I am actually very satisfied with this photo. 

Joshua M- Parking Lot

 This picture was taken on Apr 13, 2022 at 7:43pm, I messed with the  sharpness and I also cropped it and straighten the picture some definition and noise reduction, I don't think I could’ve made it better but overall I like this picture,  it was a picture I took at the Hoover Supercenter Walmart with a friend. We were meeting after a long time of not seeing each other after 4 years.

Will M- Watcher

The title of this photo is Watcher. I titled it that since the photo makes it seem like I'm watching my neighbor. This photo was taken on September 28, 2022, a few minutes before I went to bed. I edited the photo by cropping some of the original photo so that the house was the main focus of the photo, but you could still see the outline of the blinds on my window. The only lightsource that I used was the light from my garage and whatever light there was in the background. I probably could have made the colors a bit more bright or vibrant, but I wasn’t entirely sure on how to do that since this is my first time actually using photoshop. I wasn’t able to find my camera so I had to take all these photos on my phone.

 

Nikolaus H - Revolutions

 The title of my photo is “Revolutions” and it is of my 350 small block engine in my garage. I took it about 2 months ago with my Pentax k1000 camera. To improve the image, I reduced the greens to make the colors better match real life along with increasing the sharpness and definition to clear up the foreground. What I think I could’ve done better is focusing more on the wix racing filter to give the photo background.

Layla Q- Antiques

 This image was taken in the parking lot of an antique store near Tip Top called On-A-Shoestring on September, 28, 2022. It was taken with my Canon PowerShot SX500 IS. I edited this picture by adding some light, warmth, adjusting the color to a more orange tone, and cropping a bit of the background out. I think this picture could be better if I had taken it from a lower angle with a tripod. But overall the experience of taking this picture was great, I love Bluff Park. 

Ken P- Tree of Life

The title of this image is called the tree of life. It was taken on a sunday outside of where I stay 

It was taken with my camera. I edited by trying to take the sun out of the way a little because it was really bright that day. Probably could've went into more detail with the picture.

 The title of this photo is Purple Lights becauseof the headlights colors. It was taken in a parking lot on october 1st. I took this picture with an Iphone I changed all the Reds and yellows to be purple. I think it could be better if I made the background less distracting

I edited it on my phone. I could have lightened the background .

 The title of the this is Stuttgart its a city germany where my half of the family from i took with a KODAK PIXPRO AZ401 and i just edited the lighting that's really it for real and no lens or nothing like that 

Milan S- Road Lights

The title of this image is called road lights. This was taken in the car on the road on the way back home on September 27. This was taken with my phone. I turned the light down and brightened the color to give the lights a warm tone to it. I like it just the way it is because I like that there's some motion to the picture.
 

Patrick C - Achievement

The title of the image is Achievement, I chose this name because my brothers have also graduated from Hoover High and have their rings and I just got mine even though I’m still a senior.  It was taken in my backyard on the railing of my deck during the day.  It was taken with a nikon d40x digital camera.  The edits I made were to enhance the saturations to make the color of the gems show more.  For this image, I wish I made it to where all of the rings were in focus and not just 2.

 

Kameron P-- Frontyard

 This is one of my photos that I took in my front yard with the lil sun in the background with the lighting and the bush in front with the lil pole. This photo was taken in my front yard, kind of like an amazing view but not that much. I really didn't need to edit it that much but I made a shade along with a vigilante and made the green on the bush  brighter and made it stand out more from the background. It could be better without the pole in the middle but hey I made it work anyway.

Chelsea G- Swam

 This image was taken at a beach in Florida, it was taken around the evening. Me and a friend were just walking around and I thought “I want to take a picture here”, so I set up my tripod and snapped this picture. I took it with my iPhone XR and I’m really happy with how it came out. I edited this image by saturating, desaturating, and blurring it. It could be better if the quality of the picture was better but you are pretty limited when it comes to phones. I don’t know why I felt like I needed to name this “Swam” but I think it fits.

Peyton K- Sunflowers

 This photo was taken this past weekend at a wedding. It is all the bridesmaid bouquets put together. It was taken with my phone. I changed the brightness and cropped it to be more centered. I think I could have adjusted the warmth and vibranceand focused ore on a specific flower.

Nathan E- Bright Heart

I took this photo with my friend Jade in the back studio room of the photography classroom I took it with my iphone I edited the photo by lowering the exposure to -11, Lowering brilliance to -100, lowering the highlights to -38, lowering shadows to -100, lowering my contrast to -100, lowering the brightness to -91, upping the black point to 53, upping the vibrance to 100, and upping the warmth to 27.

 I wish I had angled it where our fingers had more light around them.

Kamron Y - Mini Carrera

This picture is named Mini Carrera because it is a model version of a Porsche 911 Carerra. It was taken on my driveway during the day. It was taken with my Iphone 13 mini. To edit it I tried to make the image a bit darker but still having the color of the Porsche pop a bit. I think to make it better I could have used a better camera and with more editing knowledge I'm sure that wouldn't hurt.

 

Josmary L- The Light is Found in the Darkness

 This photo is called “The light is found in the dark”. It was taken on September 24, 2022 at The Battery, Atlanta Georgia I edited it in a very simple way highlighting the light of the Chinese lamps, I darkened a little the rest of the things that are shown in the image to highlight the lights, I added a little color to make it brighter, It was taken with the camera of my cell phone... I think it would have been better if there was something there that would represent history or just be something more representative, like a sculpture or a painting that would catch people's attention, but I think it's a good photo nonetheless.

Dori H- Forest Snake

 This picture was taken at the Georgia Aquarium in 2020, this picture only has a little contrast editing. I love marine life but I love snakes even more. This is an Emerald Tree Boa, a bright emerald green color. They easily blend into their surroundings living in the rainforests. They hunt by reaching down from branches and grabbing their prey, pulling it back up to the tree, and constricting it. Fun fact: their diet sometimes consists of monkeys but mostly small rodents. 

Jamie T - Horror Like Light

The name of my photo is “Horror Like Light”. It was taken in my driveway in front of my garage. It was taken with my Canon EOS Rebel T6. I edited this photo quite a lot. I added a vignant, interference/static, and changed some hues. To be honest I don’t think it could be much better.

 

Jade S- Tree Peeking

 The title of the photo is “Tree Peeking.” This picture was taken at a park behind my friend’s house. It was taken with an Iphone 13 and I mainly used the photo app to edit it. I could have fixed the saturation but overall I think it's a good picture. 

Emma B- Sun-Dried Bus Ride

 The title of this image imitates how we are young and always in the sun, but we are getting dried up and older, and soon we won't ride the bus as we do now. I took this image on the bus ride heading home from a long day at school. It was taken sometime in late August to early September. I captured this moment with my iPhone 11. Editing goes as far as retouching and adjusting the hue, saturation, exposure, and contrast. This image could've been better if Tristan's hair wasn't blowing in the wind and crazy, but I also think it adds to her outlandish character! She's truly one of the sweetest people I know, and she really helps me let loose! Being around her is like taking a needle and popping that allodoxaphobia bubble.

Steven L - Little Flame

This image is called Little Flame and it was taken on September 17,2022 at my room. I took this picture using the night mode of the camera combined with a tripod to stop the camera from little movements. I edited this picture by increasing the shadows of the image and increasing the red levels to get this slightly orange/red color. I think it could be better if I edited a little bit more the brightness and the colors of the picture. Not my best picture but the one I appreciate more.
