Anna D- Hydrated
The title of my picture is called “Hydrated”. It was taken about a week ago and it was taken inside my house. I took it with my phone. I edited it so the water could glow a little and be pretty. Maybe another angle of the camera could be better than basically straight over the water.
Erik S- New Years
The title of my selected image is “New Years” as this is a photo that I took of the 2021 New years fireworks outside my house. This is an image I took with my phone (Google Pixel XL). I edited the photo first by cropping the image so that it was 14x11 inches and so that the firework was at the center point of the image. In addition to cropping, I also used the “smart sharpen” tool on Photoshop to make the image less blurry than it was. A good story behind this photo is that this was actually taken the night of january 1st, because at 12am, it was raining.
Madison R - Dolphin
This photo was taken last summer at Saint George Island. This photo was taken with my D3400 Nikon camera. I edited this photo by bringing up the contrast and the brilliance. And bringing the contrast all the way up. I think if the photo was crisper it would be better.
Logan W- Carl
This image is called Carl. I took it on February 18th, 2020, under a railroad bridge in the middle of the woods. I actually took it with my phone. I first increased the contrast as well as lowered the brightness there wasn’t a ton of glare from the water running down the pillar. I then actually decreased the greens and increased the magentas to create a larger contrast between the paint and the wall. I also increased the cyans to create a larger contrast as well. I feel this is a really alternative styled photo. If there were anything I could do to change it, I would have taken it with an actual camera. I also probably could have edited out some of the pieces under the “205”.
Julie H- Captain Leroy
I named this title “Captain Lery” because my dog likes to act like the captain of the boat when we take him on a boat ride. This image was taken this summer at Perdido Key, in the bay area, I took this picture with my phone. To edit this photo I turned up the saturation, Brightness, and contrast. I think this image could be better if I would have gotten my sister out of the background of the image so the main focus could be on Leroy.

Yori D- The Book
The name of this photo is called The Book. I name it The Book because the book is the main focus of the photo and I love how the color of the book is very loud. I took this picture at school in the photography lab. It was taken with my phone and I edited by turning off one of the lights and keeping the other one on and I just made the whole photo focus.
LINLEY W - The Royal Flower
This picture is titled The Royal Flower. This was taken at my house a few weeks ago for the Still Life Assignment. I took this picture with my Nixon D5200 camera. I used black t-shirts as the background and used a flashlight for the lighting. I edited this picture in a lot of ways. I made the overall brightness brighter while increasing the contrast. I also sharpened up some of the flower and changed the hue to a royal blue color. I also lightened up some of the petals. This picture could have been better if the center and bottom half of the flower were more in focus. Besides that, I am very happy with how this picture turned out.
Allie S- Jellyfish
The title of my image is Jellyfish. I took this photo January 16, 2021 at the Tennessee Aquarium. I took this photo with my iPhone XR. I edited it by bringing up the saturation and bringing down the shadows and adding a slight vignette. I also messed with the individual colors and saturation and luminance of them. I also retouched some of the little things floating in the water. I think I could get a little less of a glare on the glass but overall I like it.

Drew B- Lincoln
This photo is called Lincoln. I took this photo on the DC trip in 7th grade. I took this photo with my iPhone 8. I don't know how it could be better.
Emma J - Garage Grease
I took the photo on February 29th of 2020. The title of the image is Garage Grease because it was taken at the Galleria Mall garage. It was taken with a Canon t6 and it was edited using a mixture of the photoshop express app on my phone and photoshop on the computer. I used the hue tool, heavily increasing the hue to red and adding saturation on top of that, as well as darkening the image and adding some contrast to it. I wish the model was more in focus and not as blurry as he is.
Luke F- Candle
This image is called Candle and it was taken on October 25, 2020. The photo was taken with a Nikon D60 in my basement. I edited the photo by lowering the brightness a little bit and then changed the color of the reflection of the light from the candle to pink instead of white. I think the image could be better if it was just focused a little bit more.
REGAN F- Manipulated
This image I have chosen is titled Manipulated. The title simply comes from a previous assignment we did for class. I took this picture in my moms house a couple weeks ago. I edited the photo with saturation, light and color enhancement, and I also played around with hue and saturation to make the colors more vibrant. I do wish this picture wasn’t so plain. I definitely would like to play around with it more but overall I think it turned out good.
Mary B- Cotton Sunset
The title of this photo is “Cotton Sunset”. I took this photo in the cotton field behind my grandparents house during sunset. I took this photo with my canon rebel t3i camera. I didn't do much editing to this photo except for increasing the brightness a little bit. This photo could be better if I got rid of the weird line in the background, but overall I am happy with the image.

Amira A- Narritive
The title of this photo is “ Flowers”. I took this photo with my camera at my home before two weeks ago. To edit this picture I just do more dark in the picture aspects because I feel when people look at it they feel it is old and antique. The things in the picture is called in Aribic “Censer” and these is use for house and clothes to give them a good smell by take a coal and put is on the fire and after the coal become red we take it and put it inside the “ Censer” than we put on the top of the coal “Eat” to give a beautiful smell. The eat is something solid but smell so good.
Ella K- Memory
The title of this picture is “Memory.” It was taken at Alabama Veteran’s Memorial Park during a choir performance in November 2017. It was taken with my iPhone 7. It was edited by adding a “Dramatic” filter. To make it better I could make the picture straighter by using the crop tool, and maybe editing some spots out. I really like this picture because it shows something about me. My grandfather was in the military and he passed away recently. We both loved music, so having the microphone in the picture surrounded by the pillars makes me feel closer to him.
Shae M- Blue Hue
The title of this image is Blue Hue. This is a photo of this flower magnet I found laying around my house. I named this image Blue Hue because of the pretty blue hue the flower is giving off. This picture was taken in early November on the windowsill in my room. I took this photo with my Nikon D3500. I edited this picture by retouching some blemishes, I increased the brightness and saturation, and I also brought up the color so the image was not as dull. I really like this photo, but I think it could have been better if I adjusted the color in the shadow of the image so it was not so bright. Overall I am really happy with how this picture turned out.

Redezel L- Rihanna
The title of this photo is Rihanna. This is a photo of my baby sister/friend at the corner of her room. This was the night of her birthday party, January 30, 2021. I took it with my Canon EOS Rebel SL3. I edited this photo using filters from photoshop and played with the brightness. I think it would be better if I adjusted the filter a little and the focused on her fingers or took a picture of her whole hands.
Mary Ryan M- Last Fall
This photo is called Last Fall. It was taken this past fall at my dad’s house. This was taken with my Canon camera, and I edited it by brightening up the colors to give the bottom a little more definition. The vibrancy was also increased to bring out the colors and the light of the sun in the top corner. To improve this photo I would try to make the puffy parts of the plants more defined.
Abigail P - Reading
This picture is called Reading. I took it at my house in November with my Canon elph 180. I took the picture in the afternoon so I could use the natural light in my photo. I decreased the highlights and brightness to really bring out the words on the page and bring down the lighting. I increased the warmth and tint to give the pages a yellowish kind of color. I also increased the noise reduction and definition to really bring out the contrast of the words and the page and make the letters really stand out. The only thing I wish I could have done better is gotten a more clear shot because I feel like the picture is a little fuzzy.
Valentina R- Miami Beach
This photo was taken In Miami, at the Bal Harbor Dog Beach next to a superb skate park. It was taken on the 30th of January, 2021. This image was taken with an Iphone, and edited with camaroll edits and an app called picsart. I edited by bringing up the brightness and highlights, tired to make the clouds have shadow and contrast with the ocean. This photo could have been better if it was more defined and sharpened. This photo was taken on my last day In Miami to enjoy the beach.

Bess H -- Music
This image is called “Music” because I listen to music all the time and it is something that I use as a mood booster. I took this photo with my Canon 4000D. This photo was taken on January 24th, 2021. I used a pink background from my computer and set the headphones in front of the computer. I didn’t really do much to this photo. I brightened it up and deepened the contrast. I think that I could have made the headphones a little more defined in some areas.
MaKena C- Oils
The name of this photo is Oils. I took it in my office. It was taken with a Canon g9X. To edit this picture I just turned the saturation and the brightness up and I sharpened it a bit. I could have fixed the stick in the middle. When I turned the saturation up it made it look pixelated.
Ella F- Colorful Converse
This image is called Colorful Converse because it is a photo of my Converse with some fun and colorful lighting. I took this picture a few weeks ago for the still life assignment, and I used my white couch as a backdrop. I took this photo with my Canon 60D camera. I edited the image by turning the saturation up. I wanted the fun colors to be bright and to really pop. I also sharpened the image some, but it is still a little soft in some spots. I really like how this image turned out, but it would be even better if it was sharper.

Linley W- Country Star Horse
This picture is titled Country Star Horse. I took this picture over Winter Break at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. I took this picture with my iPhone. I decreased the highlights, increased the saturation, and I increased the vibrance. I also increased the sharpness of the overall image. I believe this picture could have been better if I had edited it with Photoshop and taken it from a different angle. This picture is not the best picture I’ve ever taken, but I am pretty happy with the result.
Julie H- Leroy
I named the image Leroy because that is the name of the dog. The image was taken in the car when I had gotten back home from getting chick fil a. I took the picture with my phone. To edit this photo I cropped out part of the car and the seat of the car to put the main focus on the dog. I also turned up the brightness and the color contrast. To make the photo better I would have maybe taken the photo at a different angle. Next to leroy's paw at the bottom is a treat from chickfila that he ended up not eating because he did not like it.
