Faye M- Hypocrite
The title of my image is Hypocrite because when I found this sticker, “Don’t Be Boring” it reads, was in the middle of an absolutely massive blank and cracked wall, and seemed kind of ironic to me. It was taken in Charleston, SC during spring break. It was taken with my Nikon camera. I edited it with a greater contrast and added a vignette to the edges in order to push the focus more towards the sticker itself. It could be better if the image was framed so the sticker was less of the main focus, and maybe tried to shift the composition to include the boring wall and some of the more colorful items by the wall.
Katie N- Peace
I call this picture “peace”, because it os so peaceful. I took it with my Canon Rebel T16. I took it when I was leaving my bay house for a softball game. I love it so much. I edited it by adding a Nik collection preset. I do not really know of anything I could do to make it better.
Katie H - Color Wall
I call this photo “Color Wall”. I took it in New York over spring break on my phone. It is a panorama. I edited it by cropping it into it just being the wall and boosting up the saturation to really make the colors pop. It turned out having really good quality which I am surprised about. I like how this turned out.
Jennifer L- In Memphis
This picture was taken in Memphis, Tennessee inside of the Bass Pro’s Shop Pyramid. I took the picture with my Canon T5 Camera and it was edited by adding a filter and lowering the brightness to make the small lights stand out with all of it’s details, But overall I really like how the end result came out.
Emaleigh S- Sunset Portrait
This photo is a portrait of my friend Sade’. This was taken around the first week of January when it was really cold outside. I used portrait mode on my phone and on this computer I later added sharpness and fixed the lighting up a bit. Overall, I think this picture is good and would be better if I had more color on the beautiful sunset but still had spotlight on her as well.

Alyshan A - Picture of Water Ting
I took this picture while I was in Colorodo. I did not do any editing to it because I personally was not satisfied with the results so I decided to keep it plain. I was hiking around some mountainous areas and decided to take this pic.
Hillary A- Sunset
This Is a picture of a sunset I took a while back ago. Im not exactly when but I LOVE the colors in this.
Kat C- Blue Fire
I named this composite Blue Fire because of the color that it gives off. I took all the images from this composite at the Brookwood Mall. I also took this with my camera and edited it in Photoshop.

Madalyn M- Downtown
This picture is called Downtown. I took it with my iPhone 8s. I took it in mobile wile visiting my sister at south Alabama. I like the details but think it could be better by having it more focus and a better camera.
Devon H- Choice 1
My favorite picture has to be the first one the reason I say this is because because I just like the scenery this is the type of place I would take pictures in I personally love pictures in parking decks because of the poles and the lighting and. I like how the picture is an off guard but it’s really not an off guard because he obviously knows it’s being taken.I also like the lighting of the picture and the edits I used to make this photo fit my liking and this is also one of the only guys I can call a brother.
Yuliana Z- Flower Power
The title of this is Flower Power. I took this photo on March 29 at Noccalula Falls. To edit the photo I increased the detail in the photo, increased the saturation of the flower and brought out the pinks and purples of the background flowers more using the Color Efex Pro Nik Collections. My family and I went to Noccalula Falls since it’s the tallest waterfall in Alabama and it was one of the best parts of my spring break this year. To take the photo I used my Canon Rebel T6 Camera. I had a lot of fun trying to take a photo of the flower using different angles and perspectives but this one was my favorite. I think I’m pretty happy with how the photo came out. I think the fact that the perspective really doesn’t show the stem of the specific flower is really cool and I think the softness of the background is super nice.
Jake D- Long Exposure
Over spring break my friend and I decided to mess around with some long exposures. 30 seconds to be exact. We set up the camera on a tripod and used his car and a flashlight. Occasionally one of us would stand there too. I really like this photo just because of how cool it is. The flashlight really makes the orange paint stick out. It was dark out but there were a few lampposts around us, so the lighting was ideal. This is one of my new favorite photos and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. It was taken at the helipad at my church and the camera we used was a Nikon D7100.
Jennifer C- Overthinking
The title of this picture is “Overthinking”, the reason behind that is because of two things. One I took this picture with my IPhone X at 2 in the morning because I was overthinking things and two because of the quote. “We can’t solve our problems with the same thought when we created them.” I write quotes so hope you enjoy :)

Grace R- Field Museum
This picture is called “Field Museum” because it was taken at the Field Museum in Chicago a few weeks ago. I took the individual pictures for this panorama on my phone and put them together in Photoshop. I also used the NIK collection to edit this picture after I put it together. I think it could be better if it was less warped and I took more photos to make the panorama.
Deebaj F- Composite
I took this photo 3 weeks ago for the spring break assignment. I took the Photo with Rebel T6 camera. I edited this photo as a composite image. I also edited the bottom part with the clone tool. I like how it turned out at the end.
Kirsten W- Hazed
I named this image “Hazed” as I think it represents the trippy aesthetic of the picture. I took this picture in a car while my friend was driving, and used my phone to edit the movement waves into the picture. I like the colors in this picture; however I think if I had used a better camera to take the image they would pop more.

Erika P- Yellow & Red
This image is titled Yellow & Red. This is because it’s the colors of the houses. It was taken in Seaside a few months ago. I edited it by putting a dark filter over it but that’s it. It’s not my favorite image but I need one for the blog.
Aundrea A. - Beach
The title of this image is Beach. It was taken at Gulf Shores Beach over spring break. I took this picture with my iPhone XR and I edited this picture by changing the radius shadow and a sharpening the image. It could be better if I had gotten a little bit more of the ocean in the picture and if the persons shadow was not in the picture.
Anna S- Pure Happiness
I titled this picture, “Pure Happiness.” Obviously because I was enjoying my turkey sandwich and strawberry daiquiri (virgin of course) on the beach over spring break. I took this with my Nikon camera. I edited it this by increasing the brightness to make everything more white, and I adjusted the hues to enhance the blue tones. It could have been better if it was more from an above angle, but I like the point of view it has. I love this picture and forever wish I could go back to this moment. You can too enjoy this moment by checking out my spring break vlog. Link in my instagram bio (@anna_snider).
Emilee G- Melting Heart
This photo is called “Melting Heart.” I edited this by turning up the contrast, sharpening it, and turning down the exposure a bit. I really like this photo because it is simply just steam on a mirror, but it is still very dynamic and tells a story.
Amani S - Lots of Color
This is one of my favorite pictures that I’ve taken. This pictures shows a lot of colors. I took this picture on the nature trail where I live.

Jacob D - Highland Cow
This photo was taken on Mach 26, 2019 at the Drive Through Safari in Hope Hull, Alabama on my iPhone 6s Plus. Over spring break my family drove to the Drive Through Safari in Hope Hull. When we got there the first animal we were greeted by were highland cattle. Highland cattle are native to the Highlands so getting to see them again after all these years was absolutely wonderful. I’ve been to Scotland a couple of times do to my Scottish ancestry so we were very excited to see something represented of such a beautiful place. To edit it I played around with the contrast, definitions, lights & darks, and sharpness.I wanted a pristine photo to capture the beauty of this animal.
Anna Claire H - Sunset Cruise
I call this photo Sunset Cruise. I took this photo with my Canon Eos Rebel XS. I took this while I was on spring break in Gulf shores. I edited it by increasing the saturation and adjusting the color. I wish some of the birds were more in focus.
Alexis W- Bright Clouds
The title of my image is Bright Clouds. It was taken on August 8, 2018. It was taken with my iPhone. I edited the picture by adding brightness, contrast, and subtracting exposure. It could’ve been better if I wasn’t in the car and if it wasn’t a little blurry.

Faye M- Never Ending Spring
The title of my image is ‘Never Ending Spring’ because of the contrast between the flower and the log it was placed on. It was taken in my moms backyard with my phone about 3 months ago. I started the editing by increasing the vibrance and saturation and then putting a black and white filter over the top. I used a mask and got the color of the flower to show through. I think it would be better if the composition framed the flower a little better.
Devon H- Panorama
The reason I chose this is because of the coolness. I turned 17 pictures into 1 fat picture and I just feel like that’s really cool. To be honest that might be the only reason I like this picture, it’s really basic but fascinating. The picture was taken with my iPhone xr by d hall. I added a filter that kinda makes it look more alive so it wouldn’t be dull and basic. The filter gives it more life in my opinion and makes it a better looking picture, that’s why this is my favorite picture.
Yovani T- Downtown Sunset
I took this Picture Downtown sometime around the beginning of February . I used my Xs Max to take the picture. I just cropped the picture and made the sunset a bit brighter.
Tyler W-Dinner Time
This picture was taken in the studio with a Canon T6. I used the props in the studio to make this picture for my still life photo. This photo was only edited with photoshop to increase color and contrast, as well as to add the text. Be sure to eat all your veggies.
Trevion C. - Highlands
This title of this image is “Highlands” because this image was taken at Church of the Highlands in Greystone. I didn’t do any edits to this image.
Skylar J - Lights
This photo is called Lights. I took this last week in my kitchen. I used this Photo for the Architecture assignment. I took this photo with my iPhone 7 camera. I edited it by using iPhoto. I used a black and white filter, some contrast, and lots of definition to Gove it an intense look.
Katie H- Liz
This picture is of my friend Liz. It was taken with a Nikon camera last year during the fall. I edited it by giving it a darker tone effect and by giving the background a tile-like look. I darkened the the photo and darkened her skin tone. Overall, I like how the picture turned out.
Ramzi M- Abandoned Hospital
This is photo was taken at the abandoned hospital in Birmingham called Carraway. I used my phone X and it was taken on Feb. 28. if the weather looked darker and like a storm like condition it would been spooky like I wanted it to be.
Emaleigh S- Sloss at Day
I named this photo because it is literally Sloss in the daytime. I took this photo downtown at Sloss Furnace for my architecture assignment. I put no edit on this photo and I took it on my phone. I think the lighting should be altered a little bit and maybe a different angle. But overall, I like the picture.

Daniel T- Lakehouse
This picture is called lakehouse. I took it over the 4 day weekend at my friend’s lakehouse with my iPhone 8. I used photo merge to edit the photos together and cleaned it up and adjusted the lighting. The photos would have been better if I had lined up the planks on the dock better.
Jake D- Gazebo
The title of this photo is simply, Gazebo. It is simple and I want to keep it that way. As you can tell, this photo is a panorama. And it was taken at a small pond by my house. It is a really pretty area and especially when all the trees are in bloom. I edited this in photoshop, and used The Nic Collection as well. Overall the only thing I wish was different In this photo is the yellow caution tape. I feel like it is a bit of a distraction.
Kirsten W- Stairs
The title of this image is called “Stairs” and shows my panorama from the recent Architecture Assignment. I used the Photoshop Photo-Merge technology to integrate around 25 photos together to create this image. This picture shows the stairs and doorway leading into my house, along with a Filter from the Nik Collection. I really like this image as it creates a cool eery vibe, and was fun to blend together!
