Madalyn M- Light
This photo is called light. I took it over the winter break with my iPhone 8. I added highlights, brightness, black points, and cast. This picture could be better by by making the background dark so its just the light.
Katie H - Shedding a Smile
The title of this image is “shedding a sm:)e.” This was taken on the street next to my house on November 24th that afternoon. It was taken with my parents Nikon camera. Actually, this photo is not edited at all, this is the original image. It could be better if there was not as much of a shadow casted on the left side of her body. Overall, I really liked how this photo turned out!
Jennifer L- Untitled
This image has no title, but its was taken a few months ago in the front of my house and I took it with my Canon T5 Camera. I edited this picture by adding a filter to it and added more color to the flowers and brightened it a little more. I think it could be better if the flower was complete and not broken and maybe a bit more contrast with the image but overall I really like how it turned out.
Hillary A- Ghost Adventures; Episode 13
Personally this picture scares me. This is my friend Michelle. We were having like a little photoshoot with our friends and while taking the pictures I got this one. We were laughing at this picture because her face is leaving her face if you know what I mean? Oh I named it Ghost Adventures; episode 13 because it looks like a ghost and I just thought of that at the top of my head
Rowen A. - Buddy
I took this photo of buddy in my backyard on July 22, 2018. I had taken this photo with my previous phone, LG G7 ThinQ. I know that this was Buddy’s first time outside because of the way he is positioned in the grass. I didn’t do much editing to this photo because of the positioning of the light, place, and the angle that I shot the photo from.
Kirsten W- Windows
This picture was taken over Christmas Break in Campbellford Ontario, Canada while I was visiting my Grandmother. I took this picture with my iPhone 6s and edited I by increasing the contrast, saturation, and grain of the photo. I feel like if I had take the photo with a higher quality camera it would have turned out much better, but overall I think its pretty cool.
Kat N- Genuine Happiness
The image I chose is to represent genuine happiness. This picture was taken at my neighborhood pool at the beginning of the school year. I used my phone to capture the photo. I changed the contrast, brightness, and the sharpness of the picture. This image could have been better if the background were clearer and if I hadn’t cut off her hands in the image.

Jonathan O- Early Morning Trapping
The title for this picture is early morning trapping. I took this photo last semester in the morning hence the title. I took this photo with my iPhone 6 plus. I forgot what I did to this photo.
Jake D.- The Lone Leaves
I call this picture “The Lone Leaves” because they were a very small group on a bare tree. Pretty straightforward. I like this shot because of its unique perspective. I edited this first using photos and then enhanced it more with photoshop. I like how the rainbow became more present. It was very faint when I first took the picture, and I think it makes the picture even more cool(in my opinion). And I think the blue of the sky makes the trees pop out more. I took this with a Nikon Coolpix L830 and it was taken at Ross Bridge Historical Park.
Hannah R - Tiffy
I took this photo sometime last year. It is of my dog named Tiffy and it was taken in my backyard. I edited it by increasing the saturation and brightness. I’m not sure if I would change anything.
Paula C- Emaleigh
The title of the image is candid of Emaleigh. This picture was taken in the Hoover High School court yard. It was taken around the month of September of 2018. The picture ws taken with my old iPhone 7 plus. I edited it by turning up the brightness. It could be better at a different angle and maybe more of a horizontal picture. This image was taken at depth effect.
Spencer B- Dreamscape
I call this Dreamscape…everything about this picture is perfect in my opinion according to the standards of photography. This picture reminds me of something I would see n a dream. -<+_+>-
Marc T- Polaroid
The name of my image is called Polaroid it was taken on Christmas at my great grandma house. The photo was taken by an iPhone 7 and it was not edited. My background could have been better and I really like that hoodie.

Natalie M - Untitled
This image does not have a title. It was taken one night in my yard. It was taken with my iPhone 8+.
I edited it by putting some filters on it using Nik Collection. It could be better if I edited it differently.
I edited it by putting some filters on it using Nik Collection. It could be better if I edited it differently.
Emily S- Pink Rubber Duck
This is a picture of a pink rubber duck toy that I had in my bathroom. I took this picture on the counter top in my bathroom when I was getting ready for bed. I took the picture with my Nikon D3400 camera and I tried to get level with the duck. I edited this picture by turning up the saturation to make the pink brighter, and I sharpened it a little so you could see the outline of the duck better. I wish I would have taken a little more time in taking this picture so I could get maybe a better angle. But really was happy in the end with how the picture turned out.
Jennifer C- Flying
I titled this picture Flying. This picture was taken on a plane while flying over Mexico City. It was taken last thanksgiving break and I took it with my iPhone X. I edited this picture by increasing the shadows to make the sunrise more bright, this picture could have been better if the picture was more focused on the clouds.

Imani P- Blue Zone
I took the photo Blue Zone is based on 11/23/18 in a local Walmart. It was taken on my Nikon digital camera. It started as a closeup photo of the fabric on a Christmas wreath. Then I cropped it even closer to make it into a kaleidoscope. I duplicated the image 3 times and mirrored them. Then I used 2 Color Effex Pro filters. The first to enhance the blue and the second to darken the border. The picture could be clearer. I had trouble getting the camera to focus on the wreath so some parts were blurry. It was made worse with all the closeup cropping.
Barrett S- LED Headlights
This picture is called ‘LED Headlights’ and was taken on December 6th at my buddy’s house. I took it with a Nikon D50 Camera and edited it with a black and white filter, along with certain adjustments. I edited its saturation, exposure, brilliance, and shadows. I do not think it could be better.
Esmeralda V- Untitled
This picture was taken at Oak Mountain State Park. I took this photo sometime in the summer of 2018. I took this photo with an iPhone 7Plus camera. I edited this photo by brighten it up a little and sharpening it a bit. This photo could have been better if the water was clearer instead of being the color of the dirt. This photo was not taken on purpose, I just had my phone out and happened to take it.

Omar T-Whats Next
The title for this photo is “Whats Next” And this photo was taken in my backyard and I shot this photo with a canon rebel t6 also I messed around with the color and also I messed around with the vignette and added strength to the photo I think I made it the best I could made just could have focused the photo better.
Grace R- Branches
This photograph is a kaleidoscope of the branches of a palm tree in my room. It was taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ70. I edited it by cropping and arranging the photo in a kaleidoscope pattern. I then used the NIK Collection in Photoshop to edit it. I also added a square of black and white to make the picture more interesting and add to the geometric forms already in the photograph. I think this photo would be better if it was a little sharper and the box of black and white was more defined.
Rachel G - Birds Eye New York City
This photo is called “Birds Eye New York City.” It was taken in New York on an observation deck during the day. It was taken with my iPhone 7 because my camera was not with me at the time. I edited the photo by increasing the contrast, colors, and adding the Indian Summer filter from the Nik Collection Filters. The picture could be better if there wasn’t a slight glare from the window, but otherwise I am happy with how it turned out.
Yovani T- Cheyenne
The Title I gave this picture was Cheyenne. I took this picture at a church in Gardendale 2 weeks ago.The picture was taken with and iPhone 8 plus. I used Color Efex Pro 4 and cropped it a lot which is why its a little blurry :/ I think it could better if it ween’t that blurry and Mayne a little brighter.
Deebaj F- Pinch Pot
The title of this picture is Pinch Pot. My sister made this pinch pot in her ceramic class. This picture was taken at my home. I took this picture with my camera, Canon EOS Rebel T6. I edited it this picture changing the brightness and contrast. I think this picture could be better if it was focused from the bottom. But I like how its turned out in the end.
Emaleigh S- My Friend's Portrait
This image was taken at the Galleria Mall last weekend. This photo was taken with my phone using portrait mode and was added with a black and white filter. I also added some light to it and amped up the sharpness. This photo would be better if the mirror was more clean. This picture was taken because me and my friend were bored at the mall and decided to have a photoshoot.
Ashley D- COIN
This photo I took during the beginning of the school year, entitled “COIN”, was taken in my backyard one day after school. This is a very simple photo, so I just took it with my phone. Through tweaking the contrast, exposure, and overall saturation of the photo, the hands shown in the image have a shadowed affect and the sky pops out more. One part of this photo that I feel like could be improved would be the subtitle. The quality of the subtitle is not the best. The song lyric used comes from the song Feeling by COIN.

Aundrea A. - Just Relax
The title of this image is Just Relax. I named the picture this because it was taken at the beach and that is where I can just relax and be myself. This picture was taken earlier this year at the beach. It was taken with my iPhone 7 camera. I edited this picture by making it a little darker. It could be better if I had brought out more of the green.
Emilee G- Bath Time
The photo I selected is called “Bath Time.” It was taken a few weeks ago at my home. I originally took this photo for a previous “About Me” project. I edited this by turning down the exposure, turning up the clarity and sharpness, adjusting it to a higher contrast, and lastly added a blue tint. I really like this photo, but it could be improved by adjusting the angle back to included more of the water. My favorite part about this photo is how clear the bubbles appear.

Erika P- Donny
This picture is titled, “Donny” because it’s a picture of Donny. I took it with Mr. Rigby’s camera. I brightened it and increased the exposure so you could see the details of the main focus of the picture, and it also brings out the effect of the sun. I do like the way it turned out, but I wish it didn’t look so grainy.
Anna S- Crystal Snowflake
I titled this image, “Crystal Snowflake.” It was taken in my room sometime before Christmas. It was an ornament hanging on my tree. I took it with my Nikon D3300. I edited this photo by adjusting the lighting and contrast to make it more defined. I also added a filter that made it more of a warm tone and added a nice glow. It could be better if I had gotten more of the ornament, but my camera would not pick up the lighting if it was not centered this way. I really like how clear it is and the focus of the snowflake. I was pleased with how it turned out.
Colby H- Untitled
Mazda was taken in front of my driveway. It was taken about 2 months ago. It was taken with my Nikon D5100. The picture could be better if the car was clean and had less paint chips. It could also be better if I had taken the photo on a sunny day instead of a cloudy one.

Jacob Dew - Skulleidiscope
This photo is called “Skullediscope.” I titled it this due to the fact that is a kaleidiscope of skulls, and I thought it sounded funny. The photo was taken on Dec 4, 2018 in Mrs. Kenney’s art class. It’s a close up photo of a pile of bones in the class. I have a large fascination with skeletons and love to draw them. So photography is just another medium I get to use to show my love of skeletons. I edited it by making a kaleidoscope and then put a black and white filter over it and put a border around it. I don’t know much of what else I would want to do to edit it. I really like this piece and had a fun time making it.
Anna Claire H- Dark Days
I call this photo Dark Days. This was taken during Christmas break at Railroad park. I took this with my cannon Eos rebel xs. I edited it by adjusting the color to give the branches a more darker contrast than the sky. I think this could be better if I got more of the tree.
David J- Any Other Name
The title of my picture is Any Other Name. I took it in the Hoover High school courtyard. I took it wit a Canon Powershot. I edited it by changing effects and coloring in photoshop CS4. It could be better if I could make it a higher resolution.

Amari M - 3rd person
I took this with my Canon Powershot walking with my friend. For some weird reason I wanted to take a picture of her hair. I darkened the blacks in the picture and raised the color strength.
Alyssa C- Back to Wyoming
I call this photo “Back to Wyoming” because I wish I could go back. I took this picture this year on the Cross Country team trip to Wyoming to run a race and while we were there we went to Yellowstone National Park. I took this photo on my camera, I have a Canon Rebel SL2. To edit the picture I added a filter, then bumped up the saturation, and darkened the shadows. My favorite part of this image is the color of the mountains with the snow peaks. I probably could have added more saturation to bring more color to the trees and the dead grass, but I like the slight dark feeling from this photo.
Alexis W.- Palm Beach
The title of my image is Palm Beach. It was taken in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It was taken on December 23, 2018. It was taken with my Iphone. I didn’t edit the picture. It could have been better if there were more clouds in the sky.

Megan C- Red Film
The title of this image is “Red Film’ because the Converse are red and the image edit looks like it was taken with a film camera. I took this a month ago outside of my house on the sidewalk. I took this image with my Nikon D3400 and edited it using the film grain effect in Nik Collection. I also lowered the contrast and increased the sharpness. It could be better if the shoelaces were placed differently, but I’m really proud of the outcome. In the future I hope to do more edits using this effect.
Faye M- "Small But Mighty"
The title of my image is “Small But Mighty” because the subject of the photo is a model of a retired Destroyer docked at Patriots Point, SC. It was taken in November at Patriots Point, SC with my Motorola phone. I increased the saturation of the colors and increased the sharpness while also trying to blur some of the corners to push the focus towards the American flag. I think the focus could be a little sharper and the angle a little deeper. I encourage anyone interested inhibitory to research all that the USS Laffey went through during its voyages across the sea.
Hudson C- Lake
Lake was taken at lake Wilborn about 2 months ago. It was taken with a Nikon D40, and edited with the editing settings in the photo app. I wish it was a bit darker and spookier, the only way I could get this picture was if I stood in the water, so I took this photo in the water.

-Hudson C.
Yuliana Z- Peacock
The title of my image is Peacock. I took this photo on January 7th, 2019 at the Chattanooga Zoo. I took the picture with my Canon EOS Rebel T6. I edited this picture by using the Nik Collection Color Efex pro, I used the detail extracted control points on the peacock itself and increased the saturation on it. In the background I used control points to make the sky seem more blue, and at the end I did a yellow tint of Indian summer to give the ends of the feathers more of a yellow color. The picture could be better if there was more structure on the face to give it’s features more distinction.
Ainsley M- Untitled
This picture doesn’t have a title. I took it a couple days ago in the Moss Rock Preserve with my iPhone. I edited it by increasing the contrast, saturation, and exposure to make it lighter and the moss on the rock more visible. I think it could probably be better if I knew how to edit it better.
Nicholas L- Warm and Cool
The name of this photo is Warm and cool. I used the Nik collection’s Color Efex pro 4 to apply two different filters onto this picture to make the trees look like it was autumn and the ground look like it has frost on it. I feel like this adds a nice bit of contrast to the picture.
Abdul B- Lake Crest
This photo was taking at Lake Crest. It was taken sometime last year. It was taken with a iPhone 7. I edited it by making the colors brighter. It could be better if I had a better camera with a wide lens.
