Jacob D - Chewie and the Porg
I titled this image “Chewie and the Porg”. This was taken by my Nikon Coolpix S700 outside the front of my house on August 21, 2018. The photo is of a Funko Pop! collectible of Chewbacca from Episode 8 of Star Wars with the Millennium Falcon in the background. I’m a big Star Wars nerd and I love collecting Pops! and Star Wars stuff. So I decided to combine the two loves to make one picture to describe a lot about me. This is one of my favorite photos I have done and feel like it is definitely one of the best. To make it that way I edited it by using the Fade filter and then I fiddled around with all the small details of the photo (colors, vignette, etc.) and I made sure to sharpen it to make all the details stand out to make it feel like a more immersive world that you’re seeing. If I was to edit it more I would use photo shop since it has more advanced features just to accentuate on certain details to make it stand out more and get rid of the fence and brick wall in the background. I wanted to make it feel more like it’s on a different planet all together..
Megan C - Golden Softness
The image is named “Golden Softness” and it was taken February in 2017. I edited it by using brilliance, shadows, black point, contrast, and saturation. I took this image with my Nikon D3400 with it’s zoom lens. It could be better if it wasn’t as orange in the background, but I’m happy with the result.
Jaylin R- Panama City Beach
This image was taken in Panama City beach on may 25, 2018 taken on my iPhone 6s and edited with a transfer filter with less light and more color. This image could be better by maybe putting more light in the picture.
Emily S- Farm Burger
The title of my picture is Farm Burger. This is a photo that I took while I was in Atlanta for a Post Malone concert. We went to eat at the restaurant Farm Burger before the concert. They had an outdoor seating area and this was painted on the wall. I took this picture on my phone (I have an iPhone 8 plus). I started by editing this picture with the chrome filter and then I went in and adjusted things like the saturation, the brightness, the black point. I also sharpened the picture to show the detail in the table and the lights. I think this picture would have been better if I could have taken the picture on my camera instead of my phone. Overall I really liked the picture because I loved how the painting on the wall looked.

Grant J- Sunset
Sunset is the name of this picture. It was taken on December 30, 2011 somewhere in between Comzel Mexico and Jamaica on a cruise ship over Christmas break. It was taken with Nikon D9000. I increased the color and slightly increased the sharpness it could’ve been better if the sun didn’t have much as a glare on the lens as it does.
Katie H- Collecting Dust
The title of this photo is “Collecting Dust.” This was taken in my house on August 19th. This pic was taken with a Nikon camera. I edited by darkening the photo a little bit which made the back wood look almost black. I also sharpened it as much as I could to bring out the keys. I also cropped it so it was just all focused on the piano. It could be better by removing the shadow kind of visible at the bottom and the glare in the far right.

Katie N- Night Out In Nash
I call this image “Night Out In Nash”. I took this picture when was on the way to concert few weeks ago, while I was in Nashville. I took this picture with my iPhone 8+. I edited it by turning down the brightness so the sun wouldn’t be so bright. Then I turned up the saturation and contrast so the colors would pop more. I wish I could edit out the annoying light on the right side of the picture, because I think it distracts from the balloons, which I wasted to be the main focus of my picture.

Natalie M. - Untitled
This was taken in my friends backyard where there is a creek and it was taken sometime in Spring. It was taken with my phone camera. I edited it by changing the brightness and the white point. It could be better if I knew more about what I am doing.
Garrett H- Fishing
It was taken in my house on the rod rack August 19,2018. I used my Cannon DSLR.
I squared cropped it and turned it black and white and brightened the picture up a bit.
I think If I got more of the fishing rod in the picture it could look better. The picture really represents of what I like to do.

Deebaj F- Untitled
I really don’t have any title for this picture, but this photo was taken front of my house almost a month ago. I take this photo with a Rebel T6 camera. I edited this photo to add brilliance and change the filter (Fade). I like it how its turned out.
Barrett S- F-150
The title of the image that I selected is called F-150. I took this picture at a friends house on August 21st, 2018. I edited it by using a chrome filter, using a black point, exposure, brilliance, saturation, and contrast. I really don’t think this picture could be better.

Erika P- Lonely Pier
The title of this picture is “Lonely Pier”. The image was taken in Pensacola a few months ago. It was taken with my iPhone. I edited this picture by putting a cool, blue filter/hue over it to make it look bluer. I think I could have walked a little closer to the pier so you couldn’t see the wet marks on the wood, but I think it adds a little bit of character. I really like this picture because its purpose was to show calmness of the water and the people.
Aundrea A. - Brushes
The title of this picture is Brushes. It was taken on August 19. I edited this photo by changing the filter to fade, and use the retouch tool to edit scratches away from the wood. I took this picture because I thought the colors were great.

Daniel T- Luna
The image is called Luna. It was taken on my deck. It was taken with a Canon Rebel. I increased the brilliance and sharpness. The picture is pretty blurry.
Anna S- Simply Summer Sundown
This photo, titeled “Simply Summer Sundown”, I took when I was at Smith Lake over summer. I took this with my friends iPhone 7+. I edited it on VSCO by adding a filter and making the color tones more on the blue, cool side. It could be better if it was taken on an actual camera because when you zoom in, it is blurry. I love the lake and how simple this photo is. My friends and I were just watching the sunset when I took this. The water was so calm, so the float was barely moving. This made it easier to take the picture.

Grace R- Cool
I titled this image “Cool” because of the cool blue color of the eye. This photo was taken on August 18 at Smith Lake with my Panasonic DMC-FZ70. This is my friend Katie’s eye. I added the “Fade” filter and increased the brilliance, shadows, and contrast, and decreased the highlights. I also cropped and straightened it. This photo would be better if there weren’t any flyaway hairs in the top and if the lashes were more in focus. I like the cool colors in the image and how you can see the reflection of the camera in the eye.
Alyshan A- MagicBook
The name of this picture is “MagicBook.” I decided to name it this because it is surprisingly a magic book. I took this picture about two weeks ago in my room. It was take with the Sony Nex 5 camera. I edited this picture by increasing the color cast to give it the orange like feel, which also increasing the black point to give it the dark mysterious like look. I also played around with the contrast and definition for small touch ups. This photo could be better by having a different angle maybe. Something about this picture just does not wow me and I feel like it may be fixed by improving the creativity in the picture taking and not necessarily the editing.
Anna Claire H- Railroad Sunsets
I call this photo Railroad Sunsets. I took this downtown on Christmas Day of 2017. I took this with my cannon Eos xs. I edited this by adjusting the color and light of it. I think this photo could be better if the middle of the light was also out. This was the best sunset I have ever seen.
Alyssa C- Dad's Pitstop Diner
This was taken on a Cannon Rebel SL2 in Northern New Mexico. This is the place where my grandad and dad used to stop and eat when they were on their way to their elk hunting spot. Edited using the Fade filter first. After that I enhanced the color so that the old red roof would have more contrast against the white paint of the building. This photo could be better if I could see more color in the surrounding trees that are framing the diner.

Adam N- Flower in the Grass
The photo I took was outside in the opening this summer when I was driving to dothan outside in a park sorta walk area. I took in the mid afternoon.I took a picture with my sister phone just playing with at the time.I edit on photoshop app which I edit by making the brightness of the photo a little dark and make the outside a little bit of brightness. It could have been better if I had a lot more time editing the photo and put a more little effort into the picture.
Ainsley M- Dr. Pepper
The title of this photo is ‘Dr. Pepper’. This picture was taken at Pepper Place downtown on August 25th and it was taken with a Sony Digital camera. I edited it by turning up the brilliance and the contrast to make the building darker. I also turned up the color to make the red of the sign and blue of the sky more vibrant to stand out. I think this picture could’ve been better if I had included the whole sign but it was cut off at the bottom of the photo.
