Maria V- Time
This it titled “time” I used contrast and settled down the saturation. it could’ve been better if it was positioned differently other than that i liked it.
Alondra P.- Young Soul Trapped
It was taken one Saturday night at Target. It was taken with my Nikon COOLPIX P600. I later edited it at school by cropping it and adding a filter from the sketch category under the image tab; on Adobe Photoshop. I believe it could have been better if it were to have had a different background to it because, it’s too distracting to the main concept.
Christy N- Cozumel
This particular image doesn’t have a name for it simply because I couldn’t come up with one without it being cheesy. It was taken in Cozumel. I guess the nicest photos I have were taken while I was there. It was taken with my Samsung NX2000, and in terms of editing it, I only cropped it a bit. I think adding a filter would’ve made it look better, but the colors in the photo itself, substitutes adding for a filter in my opinion.
Nancy N- Shopping
This photo is called “Shopping” it was taken in a mall I went to over the summer. I increased the saturation in the photo and Mr. Rigsby helped me edit in the sky in the background because the original image had an overcast sky. I really liked the sky that was replaced in it.

Blake S- Hole 7
This photo was taken in September of this year. It is of the green of number 7 at Ross bridge. I increased the contrast and saturation mainly. I like the way it turned out.
Desha R- City Lights
The title of my selected is called city lights. This photo was taken in Hiroshima, Japan over the summer. It was taken with a Sony alpha 5000 . I edited it by increasing the vibrance of the photo . The name of this place is called the Chicken Shack in english. It is a restaurant/ temple also.
Madeline V.- Washington
This Picture is called Washington, and I named it this because I took it in Washington D.C. this past spring break. I edited it by straightening the picture and cropping it a little and making it black and white. I could’ve made it better if I had maybe added some color or something, but otherwise I’m pretty happy with it:)
Maricela J- Reflection from Railroad Park
This was taken back in August, at the Railroad Park. I took the picture with my iPhone 5s. To edit it the picture, I added some brightness, lowered the contrast, increased the saturation and used the cooling filter.
Lara M - "Silence"
This picture is called “Silence.” I edited it with photoshop. I darkened the picture and played with the levels and curves. I added a red tint to her eyes to give the picture a creepy effect. I took this picture two weeks ago in my friends basement, we used her bed sheets as a back drop and some studio lights that I have. I could have made it better if I included her whole body and maybe have done it outside when it was dark out.
Katie J- Pike's Peak
it was taken in Chattanooga in July. I took this with my phone and made it into a black and white photo. It could be better quality if i took it with my camera, it would be a little more focused.
Matthew M- 328
The title of this picture is 328. Thats the model of the the car. i took this picture about a week ago. I took this with my Nikon D-40. The way edited was that I used the sharpen tool. If it were more focused it would be better.
LaDarrius C- Scary Mary Playground
Scary Mary playground is one of the best playgrounds at night. it was taken at The Park at Galleria on Sep. 16,2014. It as taken with a Nikon coolplix L310. I edited by using the brightness and contrast and I use some levels and sharpen it just a little. It could been way better if I had better camera with stronger megapixels.

Erin R - Sea Breeze
I named this picture “Sea Breeze” because I took this when i was in Orange Beach over the Labor Day break. This was the condo we stayed in while we were there and I didn’t do a lot of editing to it, just de-saturated it to give it a different feel.
Colton S.- Thoughts of a Thousands Years
The image was taken in the woods near my house and was taken the weekend of October 25 . It was taken with my Canon EOS 1 Mk.IV and i enjoyed taking this picture. It isn’t edited, but it was taken when the aperture was higher and allowed me to get a more realistic representation of what the lighting of the woods were actually liked. It could have been better if the trees were more defined , but I like how the picture turned out overall.
Chris B- Composite of Andrew
I took this photo at Bumpus a few weeks ago and then found the background on google and used PhotoShop to edit it.
Lauren H- Tinted
This photo was taken at Old Baker Farm in Westover, Alabama. I used my Canon T2i Rebel to take the pictures. I edited by taking the original photo, and making it black and white, adding multiple layers to every intricate subject in this picture, carefully coloring each subject such as the hair, eyes, teeth, shirt, etc. This photo could be better by touching up the face a little more, and maybe the sharpness of the flowers.
Rachel P- Homecoming Corsage
The title of this photo is Homecoming Corsage. I took this the day after this years school Homecoming dance. I brightened the picture, and added contrast. I also brightened up the blue of the ribbon some. I think the picture could be better if I had a different background but other than that, I really like this picture.
Kerry M- Reflection
The photo I chose for my 3rd photo blog entry is “Reflection”. I took this when we had the night and day assignment at my house. It was taken with my Nikon that I use for this class. I edited this in iPhoto increasing the contrast and shadows. I also used a black and white filter. It could of been better if the reflection was sharper.
JacksonH- Old Birdhouse
This picture was taken August 24th of 2014 at south shades crest elementary. I took this photo with a fuji film xp. When editing i made the picture black and white and changed the saturation, contrast, ad color balance to give the picture a kind of eerie mood. It could have been a bit better if I had taken the picture from another angle because on the top left you can tell that the sun was creating excessive light.

Sara W- Night
I took this photo for the night and day assignment. I took this photo with a nikon ds4. I took this at night and i exposed it for 30 seconds while I lit it with a huge flashlight. I made the colors warmer and boosted the clarity a bit. I really love this photo and i wouldn’t change.
Samantha A - Peyton
The title of my picture is “Peyton”. This was taken a few weeks in my room with my Nikon D5200. I edited it using Photoshop by changing the saturation and brightness and I used color replacement. It could be better if I would’ve made her stand out more against the background.
Cierah S- Jake
The title of this image is Jake, it was taken when we were doing the portraits assignment with my Nikon camera. I didn’t do much to edit it, i played with the curves and also enhanced the saturation a little. It could be better if there was a better background.
Emily D-Barbie Doll
My favorite photo is called “Barbie Doll,” it was taken in my living room couch last week. It was taken with my Canon PowerShot SX50. I edited it by making the photo black and white and using the color replacement tool to hand tint the photo. It could possibly be better if the shadow was consistent so the hair color color looked more realistic. Overall i like the photo but it was hard work.

Kate M- Photoblog 3
The title of this image is Photoblog 3. I took this picture a few weeks ago for the Night and Day assignment in my pool. I took it with my canon rebel t3. When I edited this picture I mostly used the selective color tool to adjust various colors. I made her hair and eyelashes darker, her skin whiter, her lips redder, and the water more blue. I also added more contrast and made the photo brighter. If I were to make this photo better I would change her bathing suit so that there weren’t tassels everywhere. I would change her bathing suit color so that it didn’t match the color of the water so closely. I also need to think of a better name for the photo.
Ashley B- Niall
The title of this photo is Niall.
i took this at the one direction concert in Atlanta a couple weeks ago. it was taken with my iPhone, and is actually of the screen itself, it’s not really zoomed in on Niall in person. it would be better if Niall’s head was down more, but i couldn’t get him to do that, so this is as best it got.

Jordan H- Candid Caroline
The title of this image is “Candid Caroline.” I took this picture for the portrait assignment last weekend. I took this picture with my Canon EOS Rebel t3i. To edit this picture, I edited it in Photoshop. I adjusted the brightness, saturation, vibrance, and offset. On her skin I used the brush and filled in her skin to make it more even. I whitened her teeth and added detail in the picture by running the saturation brush over specific areas. This picture could be better if I cropped her arm out, making more focus on her laughing. Overall, I am very happy with this picture.
Hannah W- Lake Sunsets
This photo is named Lake Sunsets. It was taken at Smith Lake a couple weekends ago. It was taken with a Nikon D3100. I edited the contrast and brightness and changing the hues. It could be better if it was less saturated. I really like this photo!

Noah B.- Sp00py
I call this photo “sp00py” it was taken a couple of days ago at some old building in my neighborhood. I took this with my Nikon D3200 using a shutter remote. I edited it by adding more brightness, desaturated it, and then I added shadow around the subject. It could be better if I took it with a slower shutter speed.
Grace H- Shadow
I tilted my photo `”shadow”. I took this photo at Aldridge gardens while I was sitting on a bench. I took this photo with my canon t3i and edited it in photoshop. In photoshop I added a black and white filter and cropped it. I also lowered the exposure and lighting/brightness because i didn’t want my photo to be bright. I think my photo would be better if the background wasn’t grainy. I would really appreciate people commenting constructive criticim to help me improve my photo!
Zohra P- Lonely Fish
This Image was taken at the zoo, about 2 weeks ago. This Image was taken by my song cyber shot camera, I edited this picture by brighting it up, changing the color on the fish, giving it both warm and cool effects. This Image could have been better if I took it more clearly with the camera.
Joicelyn R- Snow White
I titled this photo “Snow White”. I took this picture of Desha about a week ago when we were bored in the studio. I titled it the way I did because it reminds me of how the witch offered Snow White a poisoned apple(not that Desha’s a witch or anything). To edit this photo, I simply cropped i to a smaller size. The only thing thatI think would make this photo better would be to change the lighting.

Nick G - Glowing Cherry
I titled this picture “Glowing Cherry” because it is of an IBC Cherry Limeade. I took this picture for the night and day assignment, this picture is not my favorite but I think it looks pretty cool. I took this picture with a Canon Powershot X1500IS. To edit this I tried to get rid of some of the glad at the bottom of the bottle and I adjusted the color of the lighting. To make this better I think I could have made it with more quality and fixed the glare on the bottom more.
Carmen V - Morelia
The name of this picture is Morelia. I took this picture in the school courtyard and I took this picture a week ago. I took it with my Canon EOS Rebel T5. I really don’t remember how I edited it. It could be better if I had zoomed out more when I was taking the picture.
Brianna S- Maia
The title of this image is “Maia”. I took this yesterday while playing with my dog outside. It was taken with my nikon D3100. I edited it by adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation. I also cropped the image. It could be better if Maia was looking directly at me. I could also be better if the background was a nicer scene. I like this picture because it focuses well on Maia and shows off a lot of her features.
Natalie S- Black & Yellow
I titled this photograph Black & Yellow. It was taken behind the Piggly Wiggly in Bluff Park. I took this photo with my nikon digital camera. I edited it by enhancing the colors and increased the contrast. It could’ve been better if the background wasn’t so blurry but i like it in a way because it makes the viewers focus on her shoes. I also really like the variety of colors it has.
Leah B- Clouds
This picture was taken at the beginning of of the school year, not for any specific project. I took this picture wit my Nikon D3200. To edit this photo, the two major things that I changed was the vibrance and the saturation. I also changed the sharpness a little bit. I am very happy with how this picture turned out!
Zoey E- Dead Roses
This photo is named Dead Roses. I took this picture this summer in my room with my iPad. They were unwatered roses left over from my parents anniversary, and were about to be thrown away. As far as editing, I edited it in photoshop by changing the brightness, contrast, and vibrance.

Allie B - Formal of Bailey copy
This picture is called Formal of Bailey and it was taken about 3 weeks ago in Ross Bridge. It was taken with my Nikon camera. I edited it by increasing the contrast and i did some other things but i forgot exactly what i did to it in photoshop. It could be better if the background was blurred a little bit maybe or i even think it could look good black and white.
Braxton B- Giraffe
The title of this image is “Giraffe” . This picture was taken at the Birmingham Zoo a few months ago. I edited this picture by adjusting the contrast and vibrance which gives the giraffe a more detailed look. I really like this photo, but i think that it could have been better in i was able to capture more of the giraffe’s body.
Sydnie M- Sunset
The title of this image is “Sunset”. It was taken in the Hoover High School parking lot when the sun was coming up. It was taken with my iPhone. I edited it by using a little more contrast, but other than that i didn’t do anything to it! i feel it could be better by getting a shot of the trees more.
Brianna S. - A Night on the Bay
The title of this image is called A Night on the Bay. and I look it in April this past year. It was taken on a cruise ship the night of my prom since we had ours on a cruise around San Francisco Bay. I edited this image by sharpening it and enhancing the colors to make them stand out a little more but thats it. I took it with my iPhone 5 so the quality of the image could be better but I really like this picture and how the lights reflect on the water.

Davis D-Tip Top Sunset
This photo was taken at Tip Top Grill a few weeks back with a few friends. I used my Nikon D5200 to take this shot at sunset. I’m pleased with the final outcome of this shot. I increased the saturation to increase the colors in the sky.
Alex H- Zombie
The title of this image is “Zombie.” It was taken in my backyard a few weeks ago. I took it with my Nikon camera. I edited it by cropping out the some of the left side. It could be better if the subject was more focused.
Jakie R. Purple Flower
This is a picture of a flower I took in front of my house. I took it with the canon EOS 60D. This was last weekend. I edited this picture increasing the saturation, increasing contrast and messed around with the curves. The picture could be better if it was taken at a different angle and a shallower depth of field
Bella M- Eyes are the Window to the Soul
This photo was taken a few weeks ago in Jilian, the models, yard and was taken with a Cannon T3i. When editing this I messed around with the levels and enhanced her eyes. I also sharpened them so that the iris would be more detailed. This could be better if the hair on the left was more focused.
Peyton H- Chucky's SEED
This image is titled Chucky’s Seed, this photo was captured on the suspenseful brick wall of Hoover High School, this school was perfect because of the dark souls colors that maniac with in. My model is a very sinister participant to my cult of portrait photos. This photo is beautiful to me, I am proud of my motherly creation. This photo is three photos I formed in one, each dramatically transformed in selected color, exposer, and hue. I am happy with my edit and this photo in particular , it is to perfect to be better unfortunately.
Amber S- Sunflower
The title of this picture is Sunflower. The picture was taken in the photography studio at school about a week ago. I took the picture with my digital camera and I edited the picture using Photoshop. I used a black and white filter and then used the layer mask to restore the color of the sunflower back into the photo. I could have been more precise when I was restoring the color back because I colored some her face and I should not have.
Carolina M - Just Another Day in Mexico
This picture was taken in Mexico on my visit last December. Its called Just Another Day in Mexico because everywhere you looked was a beautiful landscape. I edited in layers to add contrast to the sky so that the clouds and the mountain would stand out. My second layer I edited the levels to brighten up the the ground. Since i took this picture on my phone, I wish i could taken it with a professional camera to show more detail. I also didn’t like how the sky is mostly white because it took a lot away from the mountain.
Amaan L- Perfect Getaway
The title of my picture is Perfect Getaway. The picture was taken a couple weeks ago. I took the picture for the day and night project. I took it with my nikon d3200. I enhance the exposure, contrast, and saturation a little. I also boosted the definition, sharpness and de-noise. I should of took it from a different angle but I think it still came out pretty good.
