The title of this picture is "Leah". I took this photo with my Nikon 3000 in the park across from my house around 4 o'clock on October 14th. I edited this image by bumping up the contrast and exposure. Then, I used the Spot Healing tool to erase any blemishes on her face. I also made this photo into black and white and messed with the high lights. I think this picture could have been better if the person was more focused and the grass was blurred out a little more, but overall I love this picture.

Hannah S- Milly Moo
This picture is titled Milly Moo because that is my best friends nickname, and this picture is of my best friend. I took this picture at Moss Rock about 2 weeks ago. I used the retouch tool and then I tinted this picture, so it took a lot of time to color it. I feel like this picture could not be any better. I made this picture for my friend as a present so I hope she likes it:)

To edit this, I made it black and white and added a lot of contrast. It could be better if the tops of the buildings in front of the main hospital building weren't so dark.

This photo is called Demons In The Dark. I love this picture because of the lighting and the filters I used to create the dark and ominous feel of it. This photo was taken in the corner of my room where my light hang from my wall. I used the crosshatch filter and played around twitch the curves of the photograph to make it darker in certain areas. I also used the eraser tool to touch it up a bit.

Ben F- In to the Tunnel of Darkness
The title of this picture is In to the Tunnel of Darkness. It was taken at the train tracks near the old
Bumpus on the railroad tracks. It was taken on October 19th, 2013. I edited this picture by lowering
the vibrance on the background but boosted the saturation on my Patagonia backpack. I could have
made this picture better by adding more detail to the walls of the tunnel and taking out some of the
color of the weeds at the lower left and right sides of the tunnel.

i titled this image soccer ball. I took this image in my yard on october 3rd 2013. It was taken with a canon Powershot A4000 IS. I edited it by turning the picture black and white and then restoring the color to the ball. i could have used a ball witless scratches.
IsaacE-Black Hole Sun
The title of this image is Black Hole Sun. The picture was taken in front of my and my neighbor's house, facing the sun. this picture was taken during the Night and Day assignment. I messed around with the color settings and made it look really cool, and turned the resultant greens red. I then selected the sky, and colored it a purplish grey. The edits made me think of the podcast "Welcome To Night Vale," so i made a transparent layer mask and washed out the eye design used on the "cover" of the podcast. I then made a white dot in the middle of the spot where he sun was, and then but a smaller black dot in the middle of that. I spent way too much time doing this.

This photo is titled Shadows. This was taken a few weekends ago when me and a few friends went mudding. I liked this photo because the way that the person is shadowed on the truck and all of the other shapes and shadows that are on the truck.

I took this photo with my iPhone 4s. i edited this picture by adding a black and white background and then coloring thee stand and the AU sign in the middle of the field. i also messed around with the saturation and vibrance. I really liked how this picture turned out. I like the brightness in the stand but the it goes grey in the sky.

The title of my picture is "Best Friends". It was taken at my house during labor day weekend. I took the photo with a Canon Powershot SX500 Is. I enhanced the photo, erased some of the blemishes, brightened the exposure, increased the saturation, increased the highlight, and sharpened the image. I think this could be better if I tried from different angles and in different lighting. This represents who I am because my cousins, my brother, and I are all extremely close. We hang out all the time and love being around each other. I enjoyed this assignment. I liked taking photos and deciding on how things could be used to represent me.
IsaacE- The Open Woods
The title of this picture is "The Open Woods).
it was taken behind my neighbors house.
I took this picture with my Nikon D3200 using an 18-55mm lens. The zoom was all the out, at 18mm, the f-stop was set at f/3.5, and the shutter speed was 1/60 of a second.
I highlighted the tree trunks, the bricks, and the large rock in the back, and made them black and white. I then inverted the selection, and boosted the brightness using boy the levels tool and the brightness option. I also boosted the vibrance by a large amount, and boosted the saturation some.
I believe that the picture could be better by removing the bricks, they just look out of place.

The title of the picture is "My Glove". I took the picture at shades mountain park in the afternoon. I took the picture with my Nikon D40. I edited the picture using iPhoto on the schools Mac. In iPhoto I adjusted the levels and contrast. I turned the saturation down all the way and clicked avoid saturating skin tones. I tired the definition and sharpness all the way up. I played with the highlights, shadows and de-noise. I would not change anything about this picture.

I named this picture Axis 2103, because it was taken on a beach trip that I took with my church, this August, called Axis. I took this picture with a Nikon Coolpix L110. I edited this by boosting the color and adjusting the exposure content and saturation. I could have been better if I would have gotten a better angle on the shot.

The title of this picture is Dustbowl, because I really love that song by Ocean Liner, and it's the only thing I can think of. This picture is of the top of this tall poky, bush thing with the sun behind it. This picture was taken September 9th in my driveway. I edited this picture using Pixlr and I edited it by adjusting the brightness and contrast, making it brighter to bring back the detail of the bush. I then added scan lines, and boosted the sharpness to again, bring the detail back in the bush. I think it could be better if that one cloud on the right wasn't there. I really like the tone and colors in this picture.

Logan M- Lone Orange Canna Lily
I took this on September 2 behind my house. I took this with my iPhone 4s because my camera was broken. This is a picture of one of my canna lilies behind my house after an intense thunderstorm. I boosted the contrast and saturation to help define and bring out the colors. I also boosted the sharpness and the definition. I did this to make the fainter lines in the flower more visible and pop out. I would love to go back and take some more pictures with some better clarity and change the aperture to help keep the focus in the foreground.

It was taken at my house on September 2nd. I edited it on iPhoto. I used the enhance feature, used the fade to get it to the color that is is now. I also adjusted the temperature to -80 and the tint to -66. I edited this photo by enhancing the color and darkening it just a tad.I think it could be improved by adjusting the brightness and contrast, to make the picture a bit darker, to make her skin pop more.

The picture could be better if it wasn't over sharpened

This is a picture of my dog pepper. I took this picture before school one morning when i was just playing around with my camera. This is in my opinion one of my best pictures. I love how she is looking away from the camera. To edit this picture i turned on black and white, used vignette once and boosted the image once. This picture is named Labor Day Flag. The reason I named it this is because the photo taken on this past Labor Day at my house. This photo was taken with a Canon Powershot camera in auto mode. I edited this photograph by using the overall enhance button. I then rotated the photo and cropped it. I then applied the black and white effect. The final adjustments I made was to increase the sharpness and highlights. I believe this photo could be better if it wasn't as blurry. I also probably needed to change the mode from auto to portrait for a better overall picture.

The title of this photo is Ripples. The picture was taken on September 2nd at Lake Tuscaloosa with a Cannon Rebel. I edited this photo by enhancing it, saturating it, increasing the contrast, definition, highlights, sharpness, and lowering the noise. To make the picture better I would have liked to have more focus on the ripples and less focus on the rocks. I am always fascinated by the ripples in the water on a windy day.

Meredith V- "Wilson"
I took this photo a few weeks ago at the tennis courts behind Brock's Gap.The title is "Wilson". I applied the "antique" filter to this photo, as well as boosting the saturation and the shadows. This is one of my favorites. I really like how you can clearly read "Wilson" on the first tennis ball, but the rest of them are softened. When I took this photo, I used the "Close Up" setting on my camera.
