The title of this photo is Montevallo Columns. To edit this photo I put a gradient starting in the bricks and working its way outward. I also changed the photo to black and white and I used the burn and dodge tool to add contrast and highlights.

Jenna S- House
I like this picture because it looks very distorted. I like all of the colors that the house contains. It has some of every color. I think the house looks mysterious.
Kayla B- Eyes
I took this picture for the close up assignment. This is a picture of my dads eyes. When editing this picture I made the picture black and white and kept the color of the eyes. I then saturated the eye, increased the contrast and changed the color balance. This picture could have been better if I erased the black and white from the eye a little better, I would also take the red dot in the left eye out.
Hemin N- Light Bulb
The subject of the photo is a light bulb. I really like this picture because the inside of the bulb is in really good focus and has a deep contrast between the light and dark. I edited the image by cropping the background. Also, I also a new overlay layer to the picture to help change the darkness of the picture. I used another light bulb as my light source. I think that the picture could be better if I had turned up the IOS of the camera. I feel as if the picture came out a little bit too dark.

Andie C- Mirror
I took the background of this picture on the way back home from a college visit a couple weeks ago. My dad and I were in the car and he was on a work call, so I just pulled out my camera and took a picture of the mirror. It was gloomy outside so I replaced what was in the mirror with rocks. The rocks were taken at a camp I go to over the summer, JH Ranch. I could have blended the layers together a little bit better, but overall I liked how this turned out.
Jenna O - Psychedelic
I took Psychedelic at Railroad Park. The water was rushing really well and I cropped the picture really close. I inverted and boosted the contrast. I love how the colors are bright blue and crystal. I wish part of the rushing water looked smoother.
Haley Y-Shoes
I took this picture of some shoes that were in my room for the still life assignment. To edit this picture I raised the contrast and boosted the color. Then there were a few peaces of fuzz in the picture that I got ride of by using the the paint tool. I like this picture because the different colors that were captured and the small details in the picture.
Lakeshai B- Light
I really liked this one out of all the close up's I did, i took it of a light bulb. I didn't have to do much editing i change the color from the yellow it started as. The thing i like most is the shape and how you can see inside of it.

Madison V- Flower in Vase
This is a picture of a flower in a vase I took. I like the colors and detail in the image. I enhanced the photo and blurred the edges so the center of the flower was the main focus.
Emily B-Fingerprint
This picture was taken in my room after it caught on fire; my sister was drawing on my walls where all the smoke damage is and her fingers were covered in black soot. I used a portable light to create a shadow on her finger. I boosted the contrast and bumped up the exposure. If i could change anything about this image, i would brighten up the front fingerprint more.HP
Emily A- Paint Ball
This is one of my favorite composites that I have ever made. I love all the colors and textures in the picture. I combined paint brushes with pool balls and lights to make the picture.
Robert C- Just Do It
This is a photo of my friends hoodie i took during class i edited it by making it black and white boosting contrast and exposure and then i added the words and symbol just do it I think this picture is good but could be better if it was of the whole hoodie

Victoria D- Leaf
I took this picture outside after it rained of a leaf that just was lying around. I sharpened the photograpgh, enhanced the colors, and turned it into a composite image by adding bright colors from a photo I took of the sunset. The only thing I would change about this picture is I wish it was more clear and taken with a better back drop.
Amber A- Crayons
This picture is an distorted image of crayons. I really like how this picture turned out because it is very colorful. Also, I like this image because the center looks more like paint versus crayons. To edit this picture, I added the distortion filter and recolored the background.
Alex D - Chocolate Heart
This photo was of my moms chocolate heart she got for valentines day. The heart had a fabric rose on it. I enhanced the color to make it pop more.
Cole G - Piano
I took this picture of a keyboard for the close-up assignment. I really like this photo because of the composition with the keys lined up and shallow depth of field. I also really like the black and white filter because it emphasizes the textures and shapes of the keys.

Abhay T- Cannons
I took this photo of two cannons when I went to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia over Winter Break. I really like this photo, because it shows the true meaning of Colonial Williamsburg. To edit this photo I altered the hue and saturation of the reds in the photo to bring out the colors of the cannon. However, I don't particularly like how the cannon in the back is darker than the canon closer to the front. Overall, I also believe the scenery, the trees, the grass, and even the portion of the house in the background add the the effect of the photo. However, I also don't like how there are people in the background of this photo. Overall, I am pleased with this photo, even if there are a few minor details that diminish the quality of the photo.
Katelyn H- Eye
This picture "Eye" was taken in class using the black backdrop. While editing I first zoomed in on the eye more to get a closer look at it. Then I selected all of the picture except the eye. Then I turned the selected pieces black and white. Then I focused on bringing out the green in the eye best I could.
Matt A- Birdfeeder Basket
This is a picture of a bird feeder in my backyard. I took it a couple of weeks ago for the close up assignment. I edited it by cropping it in close and saturating the colors.
Will C- Phone Booth?
I don't know what to title this picture. It might have been a phone booth but I'm not sure. I took it at Wade Sand and Gravel and I think it's beautiful. It was taken in a building they call the chapel and the roof is caved in at certain parts. I like this because it is so clear.

Catherine S- Elizabeth
This picture is titled "Elizabeth". I took it of my sister when she was in a giant balloon. I edited it by cropping it so that the viewer can not see the balloon. I also increased the contrast and changed the brightness. I like how you can see the individual pixels in the particular image, giving it an older feel.
Ashley P- Crown or Leaves
I took this picture in a really old cemetery when I was on a trip with my church. I love this picture because of how old the cross is and that someone put the crown made out of leaves, which made me think of the crown of thorns the Jesus wore, which makes this setting beautiful. To edit it I enhanced the contrast and soften the colors. The only thing I REALLY wish I could change would be if I could have made the date stand out, I tried but only could see what looked like a 28.
Darien B- Alexis
This picture is called Alexis. I took this of my friend Alexis in class with black background. To edit this picture i made it black and white then I believe I used the charcoal filter. I also adjusted the contrast and brightness to make it darker. I really like this picture because its way different than any other picture I've taken before. I think it could have been better if I made it a little smoother.
Taylor S- Kisses
This is a picture i used in my close up assignment. I loved how it turned out i got one hershey kiss then another and so one i angled it different ways then i got the perfect shot. I contracted the picture.

Alyssa Y- Sloss
I took this picture recently when I went to Sloss Furnace. I am not exactly sure what it is of, but I really like the textures in the picture. I edited it by darkening the contrast, and put emphasis on the rusted/discolored areas of the picture.
Danae A- Point of View
I took this picture in the beginning of the year for the "About Me" project. I think it is fitting because it describes both my love for music and my love for photography. To edit this picture, I raised both the brightness and contrast and bumped up the saturation a little bit, but I mostly left the picture alone.
Anissa L-Blocks
I took this photo with the black backdrop in Mr. Rigsby's class. I changed the colors of the blocks into darker colors. I wanted to make this picture better by getting rid of the grain that you can see on the blocks.
Ashley C- San Rock Cay
I took this picture during one of my beach trips to Orange Beach, AL this past year. I love this picture because of the vibrant shades of blue in the sky and water. Also, the sharp contrast of the white boat against the water creates an interesting shot. I edited this by adjusting the levels and sharpening it.

Abbey W- Sleeping Bradley
The title of this image is called "sleeping bradley". I added tons of filters, surface blur, painted with color and added her lips from another photo to this one. I was actually just playing around when I made this photo to fix my photo shop tools because they weren't working like normal and I started to like where it was going! Even though its not the best photo ever and you can tell i did a lot of editing I really like this photo because it is so different! It could have been better if the line of the rectangle wasn't so straight and if i fixed the bow around the eye! But overall I really like this picture of bradley and how it turned out!
Amelia S- Necklace
This is my favorite necklace. I love how simple it is. I can wear it with anything. I edited it by turning it black and white, cropping it, and adjusting the levels.
Andrew L - Clocks
This is a photo of a clock in my house, and the photo by itself was very bland and boring. I decided as part of the close-up assignment that I would make this photo one of the abstract, edited photos. I did this with the filters, and I found a good filter or two that made the photo look like an imprint on sand. Then, I had to adjust the brightness, contrast, smoothness, etc. to adjust the effects of the filter that made it have the shadow caste across the top.
Alex E- Upright Bass
This is a picture of my older brothers up right base that he plays at UAB. I took some shots of it for the close up assignment. I thought this picture looked interesting because of the detail in the tuning keys. The one thing i would change would be the background setting and maybe the angle that i took it at.

Madhukar M - Homework
This picture was taken as part of the still life project. I arranged my calculus homework on top of a textbook, and placed my glasses at an angle. My favorite parts of the picture are how the light shining on the rim of the glasses reflects onto the page, and the sharpness of the lead. I feel that I could have made this picture better if i had gotten some more work in focus, and had better lighting.
Sarah P- Nail
I took this image for the Close Up assignment. I really love the contrast of the grey in the wood and the green from the trees in the background. I love the tunnel affect that the picture has. I edited this just by playing with the levels and colors and touching some minor blemishes up. I just thought the picture looked really cool.
Zach C- Coke Bottle
I took this picture of a Coke bottle for the still life assignment. I edited this by sharpening the image.

Yesenia S - Love
This picture was taken in my house one afternoon after school. I really liked this picture at first because of the white smoke - it looks like - but it was just the camera that gave it that extra touch to make it look better. I also used this photo in the Still Life project and I edited it by adjusting the Levels and adding a layer to adjust the coloring. Though I think it could have been better if had more focus. Overall, I liked how it turned out and I hope you do to. (:
Meagan P- Play Ball
I took this picture for the close up assignment. I like how it really stand out with the black background. I also think its kind of cool to see all the dirt and the grass stains on it. I did change the saturation to make the red stand out more than the original picture.
Samantha D- Eye
I took this picture of my friend's eye when we were hanging out. To edit it, I adjusted the exposure, contrast, and enhanced it a little using photoshop and iPhoto to darken the eye and her skin color.
Tripp W.- Alien
I titled this photo "Alien" because I wanted to make the green on the stairs look like luminescent alien blood. I first had to edit out a large heart and someone's name on the stairs. Then i adjusted the levels, turned down the brightness, increased the contrast, and added a few cooling filters to make it seem like night time. To make the blood seem like i was glowing, i added a layer mask and added a little green to the walls surrounding the blood.

Luiza L.- Natural History Skull
This picture was taken at the Alabama Museum of Natural History in Tuscaloosa. At first, the picture was not very dramatic, but, after making it black and white, I created a new layer and turned on the overlay setting. Using both the light and dark choices on the overlay, I created more definition between the highlights and the shadows in the skull to make it more dramatic. I think this picture could be better if there was more contrast between the skull and the background. On some of the extremities of the skull, where the light hit, the outline of the skull blurs into the background.
Lakeshia.B - Wheel of time
I take this for the still life assignment It's called Wheel Of Time I really like how this one come out. I just mad it black and white and got close up so the wheel would be more of the focus. I darken it so it would get a grey feel I take this photo of my apple holder in my living room.
Josh V- Alabama Baseball
This was an image I edited for the Composite Assignment and I thought it looked really cool. I first took a picture of a t-shirt I have that says "Alabama Baseball' and made some adjustments. Then I duplicated the background layer and used the motion blur filter. Then I went to blending options and used difference.
Jordan M- Cross
I named this picture Cross because when I edited it, I cut out an X in the picture and rotated it. For the rest of the picture I did multiple layers of increasing color saturation as well as layers of Gaussian Blur. I like how I took this picture on accident and now it is one of my favorites.

Stephanie P- London
I used the picture for the composite assignment. I took all of these picture in London, the original picture was of the Farris wheel, after i duplicated the layer and edited it I added the picture of Big Ben. I edited that layer and added the picture of the water and the side of the olympic building. Last i added the London sky line at the bottom.
Johannes S- Ball
I chose this image from the Still Life Assignment and called it "Ball". I edited this image by making it grayscale at first, and then by cropping it. Then, I edited the image by adding a gradient layer, as well as coloring some parts of the image darker on a new layer. Afterwards, I also adjusted the black and white settings of the image. This image represents who I am because it shows how I like sports, especially soccer.
Mylie U- Manipulated Baja
This is a picture of the baja blast in a glass. I took it for the still life project. I took this at my boyfriend's house, in his windowsill. I made the color more blue by using the hue layer.
Meagan P- The Notebook
I really love this picture! I used some romantic books that I had and one of my favorite lines from The Notebook. I used this for my composite and had the books, the page, and a rose. I wish I had taken another shot of the page because I wish you could be able to read it more.
