This picture is titled Church because it is a photo of some church I took in downtown Birmingham. I took it on March 8, 2025 with my Canon camera. I edited this picture by making it darker and turning the exposure down and I also played around with the tinting and coloring. This picture could definitely be better if it were more focused and still. It is kind of blurry. But I chose this picture because I like the lighting and the mood of it.
I really enjoy this picture for the same reason that you seem too; the lighting and mood. Contrary to your statement, however, I actually enjoy the blur a little. I think it fits the tone of the picture quite well and is only added to by the brilliance of the street lamp and its subsequent flare. Lastly I love the unique angle you took this from, with the church eclipsing the light from what I can only assume is the moon. Overall, everything creates a sort of Twilight Zone feel that I really love. - DK
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage feel of this image. It looks like someone went around with a Polaroid and just snapped pictures of their walk. I do think the street lamp sort of messed up the lighting, but the rest of the image is really good.
