Logan M- Up is Down

I took this photo at the pond behind the track at Hoover High School with my Nikon D5100. besides basic touch up editing, I added a crosshatched filter to give it more surreal look. I then removed the filter from the dead trees and sticks to make them stand out. I then added a black and white filter then removed it from the reflection in the water. I don’t know what really inspired me to take this and edit it the way I did, but I really love it. I could have used a tripod or not taken the photo on such a cloudy day.

  2. I really like this picture! I like how you made the color show up on the water but left the land black and white.

  3. I like your color choice and how it stands out. The tripod might have eliminated the blurriness on land but in the water it works really well.

  4. This picture is very cool! I like how the reflection off of the water is colored and the ground is black and white. Also, the ripple effect of the water looks good. NIce job!

  5. I love the crosshatch effect that you added, it really makes the trees and the reflection stand out. It looks like you boosted the vibrance of the reflection, along with the other effects. Everything about this picture is wonderful!

  8. I like the the lighting in this photo. The dark and light areas are very complimentary both in the black and back and color areas. I like this image although I am not a fan of the filter.
